We love Hooters. We were in the Davenport area and were driving by so we decided to stop for lunch. Typical Hooters fare. My wife and I shared the wings spiced hot, and the 12 piece buffalo shrimp hot. My wife don't like a lot of heat so we just get the hot and then I get a side of 911 sauce or Three Mile Island sauce. Some Hooters have gotten rid of the 911 so I have to settle for the 3 Mile Island. Some of the restaurants used to have a triple dog dare sauce that was incredible. It was their hottest sauce at one time. It was a little sweet and was great on the buffalo shrimp. No Hooters we've been to in the past couple of years has had this sauce. It's a shame. I was SUPER excited that this location didn't close. Bravo for doing house ranch too!! However, the new butter based buffalo sauce is SO disappointing. I got medium buffalo on 6 bone in original wings. I couldn't tell if the wings were sauced. So I asked for a side of sauce. I wish I would have taken a picture. Gray, oily...I read the flyer on the table about the franchise change and that great Quality was one of the things you're striving for. I would urge you to get a side of the buffalo sauce and tell me you're proud of the "Quality" of that product. Not to mention it has to be heated and cooked; so ordering a side of sauce now takes more time than necessary. While I can deal with change; I have also learned that fixing things that aren't broken can have dire consequences. You're HOOTERS. HOOTERS SAUCE wasn't broken. Buffalo has to be in the top 5 sauces you sell! Now you broke it. The butter flavor overwhelms the buffalo, almost to the point where it tastes sour. Ordered delivery on two orders of 10 piece boneless wings. Five General Tso, five parmesan garlic, celery, and blue cheese. The General Tso were good and wet, saucy. Loved them. The garlic parm had good flavor, but more dry, like it wasn't a sauce but maybe more damp seasoning. My roomie had five mild buffalo which he liked alot. Not too hot. He also commented the garlic parmesan were dry-ish. Not really very big chunks of chicken either. I got more larger chunks for my money from my Wingstop order a few weeks ago and much more wet, gooey sauce. read more

FOR TOURISTS, this is a very typical Hooter's. Most places in Davenport seem to be closed by 10pm. My friend and I were in dire need of satisfying our growling stomach. We weren't left with many options so we opted for Hooter's. Appetizers are half-priced after 10pm. Sweet deal but it also provoked us to over-order. We really wanted the Mexicurley fries only to find out they weren't offered at this location. Instead, we had tater tots, fried pickles, and 10 pieces of wings in the Daytona beach and Chipotle honey sauces. The tater tots were covered in melted cheddar cheese, sour cream, bacon bits, and onions. They were perfectly fried and each bite came with a crisp. The fried pickles were also simple but good. As for the wings, we both agreed the Daytona beach was the winner. It was mildly spicy but tangy. The Chipotle honey was overly breaded and very filling, considering how we were already stuffed with mounds of appetizer. Warning, these two half-priced appetizers came in a heavy pile. A week ago, I went to this Hooters in Davenport, Iowa. First, I want to say I've NEVER had a bad experience at Hooters - but Katie, the Hooters Girl, took it to an ENTIRELY NEW LEVEL OF WONDERFUL!!! First, I was able to have a really nice conversation with her - not as an adoring fan to a dream girl - although she is EASILY MORE than BEAUTIFUL ENOUGH for that role - but as one real person to another (I was lucky to be her only customer - that Hooters, and ESPECIALLY HER - should be MUCH BUSIER!!! Not to oversell my experience, but it was really great to get that much time (on a totally platonic level) looking into her eyes (YES, REALLY, HER EYES! ). When it was time for me to order (I wasn't exactly in a hurry ), Katie was EXCELLENT at the actual waitressing aspect of her job - friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and accurate! Of course, the food was DELICIOUS!!! Hooters is always a great place to relax and enjoy oneself - but, because of Katie, this is CERTAINLY a place to go out of ones way to visit, and I will ABSOLUTELY return!!! read more

Had a super disappointing visit last night. We were sat pretty quickly and the hostess and our server were both very lovely. After we ordered, it took nearly an hour for 2 orders of wings (6 piece and 10 piece) and 2 fries. Our server was working like crazy, but the manager felt like 630 on a Saturday night while the place is busy is a nice time to chill with her boyfriend/husband. She was super attentive to him, making sure he had plate after plate of food, while her servers attempted to carry the entire rest of the customer load. Finally my wing came, lukewarm.... And then my kid's wings and a fries came. Eventually the last fries came. The server was super kind and apologetic, but it really was not her. It was a complete lack of management. The manager in a busy restaurant has the responsibility to ensure coordination of the team and this manager could not have cared less about her team. Which is a bummer. We'd probably come back, because we like the wings and our server was an absolute delight (which was reflected in her tip - always tip according to the original bill. It's their livelihood!). But if the gal wasn't the GM, that person should do some retraining at the minimum. And if she was the GM, well maybe her boss should reclarify their expectations surrounding personal interactions and customer care. read more

Let me preface this with I truly understand and sympathize when it comes to the staffing shortages and difficulties facing the hospitality industry right now. Then to add to that the limited probability of finding truly good wait staff willing to sling wings in tight tanks, industrial strength nylons and thong underwear...the odds are not stacked in your favor walking into this restaurant. But I did it anyway. I was advised that the wait would be 25 minutes. I chose to stay and wait for a table and it did, in fact take, 25 minutes...actually it was longer than that, but I digress. Once we were sat our waitress came and took our drink order and we ordered some mozerella sticks while reviewing the options on the digital menu. In a timely fashion our waitress took the remainder of our food order when she brought the drinks to our table. Initially we were impressed as our drinks were tended to and our appetizer came out pretty quickly, but that's the end of anything good that could ever come from this visit. We waited 2 hours for 10 chicken wings...TWO HOURS!!! And in that TWO HOURS we began to understand exactly why this is the experience you should EXPECT! It appeared that the tables were to be bused by the waitresses, however, they were too busy chatting to two tables of young men...the first table we will just call them Darrel, Darelle, Darel and Bud. Table two was just scary. But they had a hold on EVERY SINGLE WAITRESS IN THE RESTAURANT! Darrel, Darelle, Darel and Bud were actually vaping AT THEIR TABLE. No one said a word. We watched as our drinks ran dry and the girls swarmed these tables. Not a word was spoken of our order. Like sand through the hourglass, time ticks away. We ask our waitress where our order of 10 wings...mild buffalo wings...ya know, your "Speciality"...where are they? Do you need me to kill the chicken, feather it, butcher it and fry it? Because I will if it gets me my food faster. Help me, help you. Please. We were told that a large party on the patio was taking up most of the kitchens time. Um, horrible "excuse". That does not fly in ANY industry. But, she will check on it. Our waitress disappears for 30 minutes, (I'm sure she was terribly upset not being able to hang out with the "Darrel's" as their table was kitty corner from ours...in direct eye sight. She finally comes back, with little more concern than if I had asked her her show size and says, "it should be any time now."SO we wait, and wait, and wait, and wait some more...watching nothing being accomplished in the dining area; no cleaning, no busing, no customer service, no explanations, nothing but chatting it up with the "Darrels". I decide it's time to cut our losses. I flag down the waitress and say, "We are pulling the plug. Just bring me my bill for the drinks and mozerella sticks." She says, "Ok."...with such disregard as if she expected nothing less. She leaves the table, checks one last time with the kicthen and brings us our wings and before placing them on the table asks if we would simply like them in a box to take home. Sweet Jesus, Lord above, please help me find that last bit of patience that was lost long ago while waiting to give me the ability to calmly say, "Just leave them here" without losing my mind. We eat, she leaves our bill with no further comment or consideration. We pay and I will NEVER come back again. As a matter of fact, this has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I do not think I will ever go to another Hooters ever again. It simply isn't worth the hassel. ANNNNDDD...on a side note, the ladies bathroom was disgusting. There was poo splattered on the back of one toilet and pee on the floor of another stall. But that being said, I am sure that the young ladies working at the restaurant will step up and clean thoses messes really soon! read more

We spent almost $100 on food delivery asked for extra crispy wings ordered appetizers etc. they gave us one tiny little thing of ranch to share between all of us the wings were soggy and disgusting! I ate one wing and I think my husband ate two and the rest went in the garbage. Extremely disappointed. The onion rings and pickles were completely disgusting! Great service provided by Mandi! Monday is all you can eat wings for $14.99, and we tried quite a few. I was surprised to really enjoy the Chesapeake, Cajun and Samurai. Tso's and Hot were equally nice. Dallas was playing so it was loud and sometimes the wings took a long time but this is where having Mandi as our server rocked: she kept our beer ice cold and refills were always on the table with great personable conversation. It's your standard Hooters. If you've been to one, you've been to this one. The wood floors, walls, and ceiling and make it pretty loud sometimes inside. The food covers a wide range of quality. I love the Daytona wings, and that's my usual go-to if I eat there. It's not a place I'd recommend if you're looking for a great burger. The servers usually do a fine job of keeping tabs on how you're doing and making sure you don't need anything. You pretty much know what to expect if you're going to a Hooters, and you'll get that at this one. I always get a kick out of watching the high school kids who clearly think they're doing something scandalous and/or "adult" by going out to Hooters for dinner. Their parking lot can fill up pretty quickly on busy nights, which can be a pain. read more

They were actually yellow green in color and dry as a bone- the sauce had just been sucked up into the wings because they were so dry. I opened my $5.99 order of onion rings - AND THERE WERE 5 TOTAL rings inside. Not even large - JUST 5 little onion rings! So I spent $19 (including tip) on absolutely horrific meal. Brought friends with us this time. Wings were SO SMALL and very dry. Hardly any meat on the drummies. Fries were also cold and bland. No seasoning and no salt on the table. Worst part, we were there for several hours and when I tried to order another beer she very rudely informed me that "I had reached the limit of 3 beers and could not order any more! " wish she would have told me that from the beginning! Not sure when this rule was made but I've never had that happen at any other Hooters! We had planned to stay and order more food as we had time to kill while our daughter was at a dance convention but instead we promptly paid and left.
