Being 2 days before Valentine's Day' we knew the restaurant would be busy but our wait for a table was minimal. It did take awhile for the food to arrive though. A few of our items (fries & Appetizer) were cold but our wonderful server Janelle took no time having our items replaced. What impressed us even more was the presence and professionalism of the manager,Jake! He walked the restaurant talking to the patrons and making sure people were happy with their meals!! read more

Applebee's is stuck in the past. Same tables, same menu, but the food isn't as good as it used to be. Still fun to see and eat at 1. The bourbon steak and chicken didn't have enough bourbon on em but they were okay. It's a mini step up from Dennys going here! 1 positive is they were playing GAME ONE of the World Series, the Dodgers VS the Yankees and I got to witness Freddie Freeman hit the ONLY walk off grand slam in the history of the World Series EVER on TV there amongst several Bible groups of Ohio! We came in for lunch a little before 1 o'clock on a Tuesday. Our server was nice. I ordered a side salad and soup and my husband ordered a chicken fajita salad. My side salad wasn't brought out before my soup and we waited 25 min before we received our food. It's probably been over 20 years since we last ate at Applebee's. We won't wait that long to go back. Went for a late lunch on a weekday. Ordered the Big Cluckin' Chicken sandwich and a bacon burger . Both were really good as were the fries . The specials menu is great. No issue going back again. read more

The manager finally came over after we finished with an "I'm sorry" routines but did nothing. The service was also extremely slow. What was eating good in the neighborhood was like eating okay in the neighborhood or not totally bad in the neighborhood. First the good, the waitress was nice once we got her and the kitchen was the only one worth praise today. The food was as ordered and hot, so good job to them. Now the not so good we waited to be seated as employees just walked by making eye contact but not saying anything we finally got help and no booths were available (they were everywhere just dirty ) I later counted in our half of the restaurant 15 of the open tables 7 were dirty, and not just needing wiped but full on dirty with cups and plates of half eaten food. We were seated between two men one pushing 300lb the other pushing 400lb. Now I by no means am fat shaming I swear it as I myself am fairly hefty. I just say this because out of 15 open tables they put 3 bigger guys on top of each other. Me and the wife had to sit on the same side just so we could squeeze in like sardines. They couldn't have spaced us out any better? They were busy but no where near a full house. The food here is always fairly good so good job kitchen Keep it up. And again our waitress was nice. I went out with some friends and we all enjoyed our food. The service was pretty slow, took 45 minutes for an appetizer. It took 10 minutes to get a refill of our drinks. The music was pretty ok, not the best though. I ordered a dessert and it looked nothing like the picture on the tablet. Wouldn't recommend the sizzling caramel apple pie, it was small and not worth it, and the pecans advertised were not in the dessert. Ketchup was nowhere to be found. read more

I don't know what's going on with Applebee's but now some items from the menu are just disgusting and the quality of the food and portions are just wrong. The service of some waitress, it's just rude and bad. It's funny because these are people that work for tips but the service it's not good. It's disappointing. This is just your standard Applebee's, nothing too special. However, they definitely have some of the best wait staff around. Dave helped us out and he was very quick and helpful all throughout our stop. I got the grilled chicken and broccoli with fire roasted veggies and it was pretty good. My dad got the shrimp and steak and liked it and my sister got wonton tacos and fajitas. Everyone enjoyed their food. Nothing too special, but wasn't bad at all. read more

This is gotta be the worst Applebee's I've ever been to! So I ordered carry out at 11:30 or attempted to that is. (They closed this evening at 1:00) Anyways I was out on hold for 10 minutes, then after "Kelsey" answered she blurted out please hold and left me on hold for another ten minutes. After that someone just picked it up and hung up on me. I called back (only place open and proximity was important) so after placing my order for 2 bacon cheeseburger's and fries I said to who was on the phone, that it's ridiculous that I waited 25 minutes, to place my carry out order. I am then told that "we're having phone problems, the phones just keep hanging up on people" which sounded like BS! After going in to pick up my order I asked to speak to the manager. Upon speaking to her I told her I waited 25 minutes to order 2 burgers. She said sorry we were so busy we had one 18 top table... I said I'm sure with the phones being broken that doesn't help either? She replies our phones are fine! If you've never worked in the restaurant business, rule number 1 is that no matter what you never, ever lie to guests, ok maybe if you were literally in fear for your life like an Unsafe situation etc. So yes this Applebee's is absolute trash! Applebee's, a great dining experience, for the entire family. Applebee's is a great place, especially this one here on Lexington-Springmill Road in Ontario, definitely has a great location. On or near the same road are Multiple shopping destinatons, including Best Buy, Home Depot, Walmart, Target, Meijer, Kohl's and even the Richland Mall. After you're done shopping, anyone can stop here at Applebee's. The food is great for any day of the week. Cook Jon Earl Ruckman Jr. is the absolute best, I can personally say that each time I go to eat at Applebee's that my meal is served and cooked to perfection. read more

Went there for my Mom's birthday. Watched 4 tables come in after us...order...get their meals...eat and leave and we still hadn't gotten our dinner. I got up and tracked down a manager who said she would go look for our meal. A few minutes later the server brought our meal where the steaks were well done and were suppose to be medium and everyone's food was lukewarm or cold. By this point the server was flippant with her apology and went and got the manager who gave no real explanation. She asked if we wanted our meals remade to which we declined and said we would go somewhere else. The manager then tells us she's going to "take care of our meals for us". The meals that took an hour and a half to come cold and we didn't eat. We then went to O'Charley's who when they found out what happened to us they insisted on providing an app and dessert on them to make up for Applebee's poor service. My recommendation to all is keep driving right past Applebee's to O'Charley's where they care about customer experience. read more

I'm just not an Applebee's guy. I don't get it. I've been to numerous locations and just never have memorable food. I was at this location last week and for the life of me do not remember what I had. I kind of feel sorry for people that think this is good food - I used to feel the same way towards people who thought Johnny Biggs was good. While most of the food was quite tasty there were some things that I was not pleased with. The ribs just aren't as flavorful as some places but they were juicy and very meaty. The macaroni and cheese is delicious. We ordered take out twice and on both occasions we didn't receive all of our food. More than three items were missing and they offered for us to come back in immediately to pick it up, however restaurants don't seem to realize this is not always easy for everyone. I'm disabled and it is difficult for me to even have someone pick up food for me. When I contacted them I suggested that they possibly just give a gift certificate and mail it to me so that I could use it at another time. I believe that makes more sense. I have also given this information to their headquarters and to other establishments as a way to resolve these issues. When a manager or someone writes it into a book it often goes missing when you return and ask for the credit. I haven't been back since the second time they missed items in our order. Over all everyone was respectful and food was cooked properly and was fresh. So that is why I'm giving them a 4 star. read more

We sat at the bar the entire time and only had drinks. The bar had wet rings all over it from previous customers. Would've been nice if the bartender want to at least wait some of the bar once in a while. We were drinking whiskey on the rocks and the bartender used the same glasses the entire night she didn't even change the ice just added only a couple cubes after she poured the drink. That was when she was around. She kept leaving the bar for like 5-8 minutes at a time and then it was hard to get her attention when she was there because she was involved with everything except the bar customers and cleaning. You can tell they never empty the beer ice behind the bar because all the new bottles are shoved in top down. I draw this conclusion because everything behind the bar was gross. I don't think anyone in there knows how to use a rag. We couldn't bear to even try and order food because I imagine the kitchen was horrible!! I would stay away you'd be better off eating your food out of the garbage can. read more
