After 10+ hours of driving, we wanted a quick meal but we didn't want fast food. An Applebee's appeared on my search. We were quickly seated, and refreshments were ordered. Applebee's on a Friday night is busy and we expected a reasonable wait to place our order and to get our food. The waitress took our order after a bit... I was getting a little impatient after 20 minutes.... With our order placed, the food came out relatively quickly a positive I ordered the all you can eat ribs, shrimp, and chicken wings special. I expected the shrimp to be heavily battered, which I remove the batter, and just eat the shrimp. They were good, not overcooked. For my second request, I ordered the ribs. These were disappointment, overcooked tough. And the chicken wings were boneless and more like chicken nugget nuggets ...so so. Overall, the dinner was three out of five. My wife ordered a salad and soup which was rather good and it was a generous portion of salad so that was a five out of five. And stood there for 15min while being stared at by everyone . Soooo embarrassing. After coming here with a friend I felt that the servers at this location were not nice towards us when we ordered our food. We had a server come up to us smelling like cigarettes and I felt it was inappropriate to be talking to customers after smoking a cigarette. Although it is understandable that businesses let employees take smoke breaks, it is not professional for employees to be talking to customers right after said break. There was one lady that was cleaning that I think deserves a raise, because she was super nice! I ordered a medium well steak and it came very well done. The mashed potatoes were uneatable - was a funky taste to them like they were made with sour milk. My salad came out with NO salad dressing. I've been here twice in the last two months and didn't have a great experience either time. However, I think a lot of that has to do with the challenge a lot of businesses have with staffing, so still going to give it three stars. The first time I came, we were seated pretty quickly, but it took forever to get our food. They came by once with an update, but that was it. When it takes as long as we waited, I feel like the management should give some sort of a discount or a free dessert or something. Then we came last night and had to wait quite a while to be seated. There were plenty of open tables, but they didn't have enough servers. I appreciated that this time they were upfront with people when they came in and a lot of people just left. Made two attempts to go here this weekend. First time we just gave up after 15 minutes. Two days letter waited 5 minutes to get seated, then ten minutes later no one came to take my drink order. Hit up Applebee's because it is a reliable chain and our roadtrip led us through a generally sparse area. Waitress was quick and helpful. Facility was clean and updated, with tablet devices at each table. In general my reason for 4 stars has nothing to do with this specific location, but more to do with the general menu- Applebee's could be better with vegetarian friendly offerings. I had a thai shrimp salad, $12.49 and only 390 calories. It was very filling and had a pleasing taste, even a little on the spicy side, which was satisfying and surprising, considering this is a generally American traditional menu. My parents and I were on a road trip and stopped in Jamestown for the day. After checking out the National Buffalo Museum we were pretty hot and tired so we went to Applebee's, as it's across the street from our hotel. Honestly, I was pretty nervous after seeing the reviews, but we had a very pleasant experience! We were greeted and seated immediately, our waiter was friendly and accommodating when my dad wanted to switch out the sides that came with his ribs for a side salad. In addition to the ribs my dad had, my mom had the three cheese penne pasta, and I had the chicken broccoli fettuccine alfredo, which I really enjoyed. Is it the best food in the world? No, it's Applebee's. You don't go there for Michelin-star level service. But for an enjoyable, casual meal, I think this is a great place to head, especially if you are staying at one of the many hotels nearby. read more

I would love to leave a better review but unfortunately, I can't honestly do so! Once seated, we waited approximately 10-15 minutes before our drink order was taken. Once ordered, the waitress took orders for those that came in after us. After taking several other tables, she came and took our order. After approximately 40-45 minutes from the time we ordered, our appetizer and meal came out at the same time. Our appetizer was cold as were the fries with my meal and part of the items with my son's meal. I notified our waitress, who offered to heat up our onion rings, but nothing about our food. I wound up asking for hot fries. The service was very disappointing as was the food preparation. My wife and I decided to head over for some dinner considering we had a couple of gift cards we had received as holiday gifts. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly hostess and seated promptly. A couple minutes later our waitress came over and introduced herself and took our drink order. Shortly after, the main meal arrived and I had ordered the four cheese mac & cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders. I had ordered this dish once before at a different location in a different state and had been extremely impressed. However, when it arrived tonight I was extremely disappointed. I struggled to find even the tiniest bit of cheese in the mac and cheese. In the bottom of the plate it looked like the kitchen had poured the sauce for the tenders in and left out the cheese. As I progressed through the meal it became more and more clear that this was just a plate of noodles with the chicken tenders sauce mixed in. By the time I got done with it, and I didn't even finish all of it, it looked like a pool of motor oil sitting in the bottom of the plate. Was not impressed and could definitely see where most of their reviews on Google and Yelp were warranted. Silver lining was that my wife's meal was at least decent and the service was efficient considering we had a different person bring drink, appetizer and the meal. Three waiters/ waitresses total! Don't waste your time or money here. Ordered car side to go. When I arrived there were 2 other customers waiting for their orders. One of them had been waiting for 45 minutes. No one was working at the car side desk and the phone was ringing constantly. Waitresses would walk by without greeting us or even making eye contact. We finally flagged one down and she said she doesn't know anything about car side to go. She said the bar tender handled it. So she yells at the bar tender across the restaurant and the bar tender looks confused and says she has no idea. Finally the bar tender goes to kitchen and reports to us that they are working on our delayed orders. They finally get them out to us ranging from 30 mins to 1 hour late. My wife and I ordered the same sirloin steaks. One was perfect. The other was clearly a lower quality cut, and was slightly overdone and tough. After the meal, the waitress asked if we wanted dessert, or if we were ready for the check. I ordered dessert AND told her we were ready for the check. 10 minutes later, she came with the check and no dessert. I asked if she forgot if I'd ordered dessert. She said it was in the back and she just hadn't put it on the check yet. Huh!? We told her "nevermind" and we would just leave without the dessert. We then walked out back on our way to the car and saw three employees standing around the dumpster smoking.
