We saw the reviews for here, and had to go. We were disappointed that they were out of the Tomahawk Steak and some other things, but we understand why! They make things fresh, in house, and they didn't disappoint! The creams chicken pasta, the brisket cheese rolls, and the lemon fried chicken was AMAZING! Also, I asked for a drink not on the menu, with a liquor that isn't widely used, they had it, and the bar tender did an EXCELLENT job with it! So good! Jamie was our waitress, she was new, and very sweet. Beautiful as well! We will be coming back through ND in a week or so, and will be stopping back in! Above and Beyond! My wife and I live in Las Vegas and recently stopped in Jamestown to visit our son. Living in Vegas, we're used to the 24-hour lifestyle where you can always find something to eat, no matter the time of day. While in Jamestown, we were looking for a late-night meal and quickly discovered that almost everything was closed. We called Tapps and learned that the bar closed at midnight, but the kitchen was scheduled to close at 11:00 PM. It was already 10:50 PM, and we didn't want to inconvenience the kitchen staff. However, Val, the bartender, encouraged us to place an order and head over. Honestly, we were surprised, but we took her up on the offer. We arrived around 11:00 PM, after the kitchen had officially closed, and were amazed when our food arrived hot and fresh at the table. The food was outstanding, and the service was even better. Our server, Pesh, was attentive, prompt, and offered excellent menu recommendations that did not disappoint. Between the exceptional customer service, great food, and willingness of the staff to go above and beyond for travelers looking for a late-night meal, Tapps made a lasting impression on us. Long wait after being seated. If I'm paying $45 for a steak shouldn't I get a salad and a side for that price? Also, a a real glass for my drink. They're fancy little server robot runs into my grandson's highchair hard enough to shift it sideways! Waitress doesn't even stop to say sorry as he's crying in terror. Picked this hotel after reading a lot of reviews of this and other hotels. This hotel has the most overwhelmingly positive reviews, only the majority were raving about the hotel restaurant, Tapps Lounge. Well, I thought I'd take a chance on the rooms being good too.... Turns out the rooms were just fine! While a little dated, they had all the usual amenities and were very clean. Staff is also pretty friendly. I also have to say, the restaurant lived up to and IMHO surpassed the reviews. This is a scratch kitchen set up so the food was fresh and the chef/owner is amazing! The flavor profiles were all on point. The first night I had the fried chicken and my son had a burger. Just when you think you've seen it all with those staple dishs, I ended up being blow away! The chicken was probably some of the best I've ever had. In the 2nd night, my son tried the Mac and cheese and finished with the cheescake - he usually doesn't like either but he loved them here!! The service was also on point, a special shout out to Pash our waiter and Val the bartender. They made the experience all the more enjoyable with their attentive service. Wow!!! Had my birthday celebration this past Monday. The server (did not catch his name) was so friendly & helpful. He knows what he's doing, 100%. Chef David was phenomenal, visited our table a couple of times asking if everything was satisfactory & YES, the food was fabulous! Lisa was awesome & really made sure we got everything we needed. She is the perfect fit for the restaurant. All I can say is, if you want fine dining, this is it. Food, drinks, service ..... all beyond fantastic! Kudo's to everyone we dealt with! Last year, my car broke down outside of Jamestown, and I was forced to spend the night at a local hotel. I decided to stay at the Quality Inn (off of Hwy. 281). Inside the hotel, they have a place called Tapps Lounge. As luck would have it, it was Wednesday, and wings are 50 cents each. My server (Brandie) was very friendly, and helpful. I ordered a beer, and taking her suggestion, I went with a dozen wings with Honey Sriracha sauce (not on the menu). The wings were crispy, meaty, and the sauce was excellent! The place was packed, so I'm guessing that it's popular with the locals. Great place to grab a drink and bar food when you're in Jamestown! read more

Stumbled on this place, local bar/restaurant inside the Quality Inn Hotel. Great service and good drinks. This is a nice place to relax and have a couple drinks, play darts or pool with friends and also get a good meal. Limited menu but they do very well with what they have. Being in a hotel I expect a lot of travelers, however this seems to be more of a local hang out. Very friendly staff and patrons were welcoming too. read more

Great location inside Quality Inn, and just a short walk from most hotels in town. Sixteen beers on tap (didn't expect that in a small town), though only two taps were beers made in ND and one was beer made in SD. A bit generic, but very large, decently clean and well-run, and has a pool table and multiple dartboards. Overall a good find just off the interstate. read more
