Service was really quick. Shoutout to our server Bree. The best part was how juicy the burger was. The music was pretty quiet so it was quit peaceful. We ate here about 1:30 and this place was dead. This Applebee's meets the expectations you would have from other Applebee's. They facility is clean and well maintained. They had plenty of experienced staff to serve even on a busy day. The staff was also friendly and welcoming. I was surprised that all the local high school decor was gone. This seemed liked it help reinforce the neighborhood feel. The food is consistent with the standards. I had the riblet platter. This was like I expected. The ribs had a lot more bone and less meat. The BBQ sauce was very sweet, rich and tasty. I thought the Cole slaw was outstanding as it was slightly vinegar based with finely chopped cabbage. The French fries were nice and crisp with a spicy flavor added. read more

We took the Kids and drove over to see the new Cluckin Chicken and Big Burger deals. We ordered some Wonton Tacos with some Pretzel Sticks while we waited. Ice cold drinks. The Apps I will say are amazing. The food came out , instead of me getting a chicken sandwich she brought me the Big Burger instead. The waitress said she made the mistake , but hey a good Burger is always good. The Burger was good, it was juicy and had a nice flavor. The drinks stayed full and we all got Full. So Win all around. It had been 8 years since we had been there and it's the exact decor same place. Not much of a crowd after 1pm. Extremely nice wait staff. We enjoyed ourselves. read more

Can't complain about the food because we didn't get any!!! The place had 4 people in total in the restaurant and we waited by the door for 5 minutes before one of the girls got up from the booth they were all sitting at and sat us, then she went back and sat down to continue chatting with the other 3 waitresses. We waited for 30 minutes and no one came over to get our drink order let alone our food. When we finally walked out they just looked at us and continued talking. Horrible. read more

"An overall disappointment", would be an understatement. No one should walk into an Applebees; or any restaurant for that matter; and proceed to wait over an hour for their food to arrive after ordering; especially when there are NO OTHER guests present! To make matters worse, the food arrived COLD, and incomplete with sides and dips missing. When approached by the manager, my group and I voiced our concerns about the service and food; the mediocre manager tried to make up generic excuses on the spot which made no sense and held no validity given the situation. The so-called manager failed to address the issues or even compensate us for our lost time and poor experience. I personally have never had an issue with Applebees, but this particular location seems to have several areas in need of improvement including leadership. I feel almost embarrassed to have given them my business, and I will not be coming back. read more

I took my parents to Applebees tonight around 6pm. There was no hostess and an empty container of ranch dressing sitting on the hostess stand. A male employee strolls by and says someone would help us soon. No one came. In the meanwhile, I noticed there was a full size chicken tender in the middle of the floor and a massive scattering of fries around it. The male employee proceeds to step over it and continues his slow stroll around the restaurant. I was uneasy about the cleanliness and speed of service after that incident, and decided to take my business elsewhere. We drove to Longhorn Steakhouse which had a full house. They seated us and served us right away and our food was promptly served. The waitress Kay Y. was attentive and friendly. Don't spend your money on poor service at Applebees. Go elsewhere. read more

Went inside and sat at the bar to place a to go order and have a drink while we waited on food. Bartender asked if she could help us and I was only able to get out that we wanted to place a to go order before we were told to get up and go place and order from the to go person and pointed where we need to go and walked away. I couldn't say anything more. Literally walked away. We placed an order with Brooklynn (who was extremely nice and helpful) and then went and parked in curbside. There was literally 1 person sitting at the bar so it's not like the bartender was busy. We will not be back if she is there again. read more

I haven't been to an Apple Bees in over twenty years and tonight I remember why. Our Server Ashley was a very nice young lady! She was extremely busy but was still awesome! The air conditioning was set on attic air! I asked for it to be turned up because it was too cold. We hadn't even received our food or drinks. We sat down, there was a service dog on the seat in the booth next to us. I was hoping my husband would see it. The server was petting and messing with the dog. We hoped she wouldn't be handling our food. He hates that. And of course SHE (rude) brought out our appetizer. After the rude server dropped our appetizer off with her rudeness. Our Server came back to say "if no one told us, we get extra chips with the dip." Nope rude girl didn't tell us. All of a sudden the music got super loud like it was a night club. The spinach artichoke dip was foul. No flavor at all. The nachos were BOMB! So delish (as you can see). Our waitress was friendly but service was kind of slow. We weren't in a rush so it wasn't a big deal for us personally but something to consider. It was late and we were here for half price appetizers. There weren't too many people and there was some interesting song choices happening. Kind of felt like the Talladega Knights movie if you know what I mean? It was chill though. 3/5 is a good representation. read more

This place has completely gone downhill. We came in to a host and hostess who seemed utterly confused on seating, meanwhile a dirty bucket of water sitting on their host stand of which they used to clean tables. We ordered food and drinks. Sat for almost 45 minutes for our drinks alone which by the time we got them looked like they'd been sitting at the bar awhile. Artichoke dip appetizer came to us with a clearly burnt chunk of cheese on top. When we looked at the menu the chicken Parmesan looked really good so we ordered that. HUGE Disappointment. Pasta was sticky and pasty overcooked and the chicken with dried up marinara sauce on top of what seemed to be freezer burned chicken that sat under a heat lamp too long. This used to be one of my favorite places we went to weekly. Now we'll be finding a new favorite place. Do BETTER Applebees. Applebees on a date night are a thing of the past now. read more

Tables and chairs at the bar were open and the hostess said there 10 min wait while I was the only one there this evening which was fine. A flood of people were coming after me and she kept saying there was a 10-40 min wait, but was not taking names. Ended up waiting 35 min and no one says anything to anyone. I came here Tuesday evening and ordered dinner for my family. we arrived 10 minutes after our scheduled pick up time and still had to wait 30 minutes for our food to be ready. we arrived and my husband walked into the restaurant to get our order and was told that they were waiting on one more meal. He waited inside for 30 mins and we didn't even receive all that we paid for. The manager of the restaurant was sitting in a booth eating, not paying attention to the needs of the restaurant. wearing pj pants. employees were going in and out of bathrooms like it was a party and there had to be more workers than customers but nobody managing the place. every time i come here i have Missing food and every time i have to wait 20-30 mins in the curbside to go parking spot... but every time i give applebees one more chance. I should have read the reviews before I came to this Applebees. My wife and I eat at Applebees when we can. This was our first time stopping at this location. We walked in and were waiting with two other groups. The dining room had maybe 6 customers. One of the guests waiting told me that several people left and they were had been waiting over 20 minutes. No one ever came to the hostess table. I went to ask a young lady and I asked how long we had to wait for a table. She got very defensive and told me that she already told the other people that she needed to clean off tables and she could seat them. I asked if that was all we were waiting for. If that's all we were waiting for, I said we would stay. She then got huffy and loud and told me, that she was only one person and then went to waiting area, looked at the other two couples and in a loud voice said "I already told you all that I will seat you once I can clean off some tables". One gentleman whispered to me that she told them that 20 minutes ago. I then asked how long will it be for us and she then basically said, if you let me get back to it I can get some cleaned off. NEEDLESS TO SAY WE DID NOT STAY. WE WILL THINK TWICE BEFORE COMING BACK HERE. I guess we will go back to the other Applebees even though it is farther away. read more

Service could be a bit better I understand it was busy that night but we asked for a to go box and never received it and ended up leaving without it, service could be better. We arrived tonight at this location at 830 pm. We were told due to Covid-19 that we would have to wait 25 minutes for a table and we had to wait in our car. The rude hostess asked for our cell phone number and said she would call us when a table was ready. (Our cell phone number is none of their business!) We have been to MANY restaurants in the past year, and dined in and NEVER have we been told that Covid-19 restrictions demand that we wait in our car for a table. We were at a very nice restaurant on Valentine's Day and we waited INSIDE in the lobby for our table. Applebee's has lobby seating for this purpose, but would not allow people to sit there. Also, Allen County is blue. Which means the Covid-19 rate is very low. These stupid Covid-19 rules were made up nonsense excuses at Applebee's tonight to justify their their ridiculous behavior and made no sense whatsoever. At 850 pm we were sent a text message that our table was ready. NOT a phone call. We were seated at 9pm. The service was incredibly slow. The restaurant was not busy. There were many empty tables. It took forever to place our order, get our drinks, get our appetizers, get refills, get our food, (which was cold) get our dessert and get our bill. We did not leave Applebee's until 10:45! Unbelievable. It took us 2 hours and 15 minutes to go to Applebee's tonight for dinner!!! This location is awful. We have had much better service at other locations in Fort Wayne. This one is badly managed and the hostess should be fired for her snotty attitude. We will not return to this location again. Bye! read more

I generally like Applebees a lot. This location - Maysville Road Fort Wayne - was terrible. Thirty-five minute wait after we ordered and there were only four other tables with customers. I ordered sweet tea and got plain tea. When I told the waiter he said, No, it's sweet tea. He later came back and said someone forgot to put sugar in it and gave me another- this time so sweet I couldn't drink it. Cup of soup and burger were barely warm. We haven't been in an Applebee's since before quarantine. Tonight was a blow us away experience. First, Jared was an AWESOME server! Very attentive, showed that he knows what he's doing. Cheyenne was also a positive person during our visit, very friendly. Definitely assets to the restaurant. The steaks were cooked just right, the food was hot, and the burger and chicken tenders were very tasty. We also had the $1 long Island iced tea, they were great too. I had my reservations, but they actually were really tasty! Overall a very positive experience, we look forward to coming back soon! read more

Just keeps going downhill. Went in recently and the hostess looked like she just rolled out of bed and had the personality of a flagpole. I can count on one hand how many smiles I've gotten by a host/hostess here in the last 20 visits here. Also, the servers are totally hit and miss here. Exceptional service 25% of the time, 25% average, and 50% terrible. I saw a commercial for 25¢ boneless wings on the Jumbotron of a Komets game, and went to this Applebee's the very next day, and the server told me that deal ended weeks ago. Then the next Komets game, they played the very same commercial. You gotta honor your advertising. Then I tried to order food tonight for takeout and it was chaos (I'll spare you the details). We were on a long trip coming from Alabama back to Michigan and stopped at this location for dinner We were informed by the hostess that there was over a 30 minute wait due to the "Cook being backed up" We (party of 4) mentioned that there were many seats in the bar area that were open. Still the hostess stated we still had to wait and we couldn't sit at the bar.
