Well, Applebees is pretty much the same experience no matter where you are. It was Saturday night and we don't usually try to eat at this particular Applebees because it's usually a long wait but we decided to try it. We got a bar table & sat to eat right away. The server was very nice once she got to us. Our food was hot & good. We tried the Captains Bahama Mama drink and it was great! Nothing new here. Alot of young kids working here which is good but it felt a little bit unruly, like there needed to be a supervisor around. read more

The service doesn't even deserve a star at this point, the atmosphere was horribly disruptive and the food was very nasty our silverware wasn't washed properly at all. Our server barely said a word when spoken to and we had to repeat every thing we said because he wasn't listening. For a busy Saturday night I was pleasantly surprised. I was seated right away, and greeted right away by the server. The place was a little loud, but then again it was Saturday night. You can never go wrong with the ribs. The Southwestern Chicken Bowl on the other hand is different story. The toppings are good; the black beans and corn. The pico, the chicken and the guacamole. However the rice underneath was bland. I guess that's why they cover it up with all that stuff on top. Anyway; lesson learned. Order the bowl at your own risk. Definitely try the ribs! read more

We just got turned down and discriminated at this place of service. My son and I both have active duty military ID cards and my wife is currently displaced on a 9 month rotation and could not be here to enjoy these lovely benefits of being able to eat as a family and it not be so costly! Starting this review, Yelp states, "A few things to consider in your review: Food, Service, and Ambiance". All of it was garbage. I keep trying Applebees like it's going to be different but it's always the same. Ambiance: Our table was sticky and our waitress took our order like this, "What do you want?" Service: We asked for olive oil to put a little flavor on our broccoli but got dressing. We had to ask for our sides and one of my sides didn't even come. We had to ask a different server for things because our waitress wasn't present. Food: The steak was good but the mashed potatoes, broccoli and green beans were not edible. My 91 year old Mom loved it, my handicapped brother in law loves ribs and had the riblet plater leaving him content and happy. My sister had the appetizer with multiple food samples called "The Sampler" and loved it. I had all you can eat shrimp and it was awesome. We went on a Monday around 515pm. Got seated right away. So far so good, then came the time to order. It took our appetizer 45 mins to arrive then another 50 mins to get our main order, which was delivered by the manager. The food was cold and just the worst we ever had there. Then came time to pay the bill, no discount what so ever and so I asked to see the manager and he refused to speak to me but to a male Patron not sure if he was afraid to talk to a female patron but that was all it took came back $40 less couldn't get out of the Applebee's fast enough will never go there again worst food, worst service, you name it and the only thing lacking was a fucking bug. This Applebee's is a headache. Since high school, my trips to this specific Applebee's have become less and less frequent. Northeast Applebee's, shape up or ship out! After three long months spent in the far away land of Albuquerque, my friend Jelly came to EP with a yearning for Applebee's coconut iced tea that apparently isn't available in ABQ so we headed to the nearest Applebee's with her bestie Jasmine. J + J are probably the sweetest people you will ever meet so I was taken aback when we walked in and all that was said was a curt, "How many?" No resemblance to a greeting whatsoever, not even a smile. The hostess disappeared and another returned and directed us to a booth. Our waitress was probably the nicest person there, but somehow she seemed not fully equipped to be a server. At least she did everything with a somber face...not really mean, but also not happy. Asking for a margarita recommendation from her was like pulling teeth. Her response was literally, "I like them all." No you don't, which leads me to believe you've never had any of them...so next time just say that. Also when she brought it out she let us know it was their first time making a frozen margarita. Since when? Since this morning or since the opening of this Applebee's. How is that even possible? I thank my lucky stars that I just went with the coconut iced tea because I DO NOT TRUST BARTENDERS THAT HAVE NEVER MADE A FROZEN MARGARITA. Although Jasmine seemed to enjoy it. I had already eaten a couple of hours earlier so I opted for the Queso Blanco while J-Team went dutch on the 2 for $20 deal ordering the pasta and the Quesidilla Burger with the boneless wings as an app. While ordering, Jasmine asked if she could get the Quesadilla without cilantro and was informed, "It comes with cilantro." Eventually it was admitted that the cilantro was only in the pico de gallo and could be taken off. The apps came pretty fast. Jasmine bit into the wings and said it "shocked" her jaw. I'm not entirely sure what hat means, but pass. My Queso was so uninspired and the chips were utterly sad. Like they just went to Wal-Mart and picked up a bag of tortilla chips. I'm sure I've been spoiled by the deliciously fresh and thin chips served up at Chili's, but dang Applebee's...I thought you were supposed to be a main competitor for Chili's. AB, you be slippin'. A short while after, their entrees arrived by a different waitress who simply said, "Pasta." To which Jelly raised her hand and the waitress impatiently plopped the dishes down on the table. Jelly's and my own drink were empty, but she just took off. I know she wasn't our waitress, but isn't it customary to say something along the lines of "Can I get anything else for you?" They both seemed pleased with their dishes so again that's a plus. And eventually a different waiter appeared to scoop up our empty glasses and get us refills. It was our waitress who brought them back. If you must make a choice, you're better off at Chili's. Every time I've been to this particular Applebee's I'm left scratching my head and wondering why the hell everyone has a stick up their ass. read more

My husband and I ate here around 8pm on a week day so nothing crazy. Service was lacking but it felt like it may have been his first week on the job so we cut him some slack. I asked what was in a particular drink and he couldn't give me an answer and didn't even try to look at the menu. I ended up ordering a margarita which was served in a martini glass. When it was brought to me it was brought with the shaker and strainer. I looked at our server for clarification. Came to this Applebee's location for the first time.. I was HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED in the service and food. I ordered an Oriental Chicken Salad with grilled chicken. This is the ONLY reason I eat at Applebee's, that and their Wonton tacos. My salad came with breaded chicken. I requested grilled, so I kindly sent the plate back. When I received my salad back 4min later.. it had steaming hot chicken scraps (mostly fat and clearly chicken thigh cuts). I order this salad EVERY time I visit APPLEBEE'S. I know that this cut of chicken is simply not right. When I asked the waitress said thats how it is made.. I handed her my plate and stated that it was mostly fatty chicken pieces in which placed on my plate hot had wilted the top of the salad. She took my plate back. When she returned she asked if I wanted to order something else. I respectfully declined and stated that I have had this salad time and time again and that was not the chicken it comes with. She responded well, thats the chicken he made it with.. with my look of disbelief she continued to tell me they were out of the chicken that they usually use for the salad.. that would have been nice to know when I initially ordered my salad. I wish I would have gotten a picture to include however my intent wasn't to leave a review. But since I am left here watching my kids enjoy their meal whilst I sit here with no salad.. what better to do with my time then to share my disappointing experience. Worst Applebees I have ever been to. Got there and sat right away. Our waitress took about 15 minutes to come to the table to get drink orders but you could barley understand her. She acted like we were an inconvenience to her and could not even understand what she was saying. Ordered the drinks and she never came back. Sat there and 2 other waitresses came but and still nothing. Just ended up leaving. The AC I don't think worked as it was about a million degrees in there. My husband and I truly enjoy coming here before going out on date night. The servers are great. The drinks that are made by Keisha the bartender taste amazing and the appetizers always hit the right spot. This is our go to place before a night of dancing. So we really don't sit down and have a full blown meal. We just sit at the bar knock down a shots and drinks. Order the appetizer combo and call it a day. Ask for Keisha at the bar! Well. After many, many other visits here I really have to ask why we keep torturing ourselves. The food is sometimes decent, or just awful.... We could have a great meal and then go back a few days later and order the exact same meal and it is really bad. Today's experience... I get there and is told that people were leaving because the air conditioners were not really working (100 out today with humidity) . I stepped into the bar area and it was not bad so I asked to be seated there. The waitress greeted me and I told her that I was expecting my husband. She brought my drink and left. When my husband came in about 15 minutes later, she immediately came over and took my husband's drink order. We told her we wanted wings and wanted to review the menu. She brought the wings shortly later and took our order. Good so far.... She brought our food and instead of steak she brought me chicken (was she trying to tell me something). She took it back, then brought the same plate back and said I could keep the chicken and she would bring the steak out separately. GREAT. Then I get the steak (photo to follow). Soooooo small. Ridiculously small. She also brought us out fresh drinks, then she was gone. Well, I had no steak knife. Since we didn't see our waitress the next 5 minutes or so, I asked the hostess that was goofing around three feet from us if she could get me a knife. She rolled eyes and walked away. We saw her go into the kitchen. She came back out and continued talking and laughing with the other two girls at the door. Another few minutes go by and no knife. We finally saw our waitress coming out of the kitchen with full hands. Then she disappeared again. So I got up and started to walk into the kitchen to get a knife and ran into our waitress with the knife. She asked me if I was going to get my own and I said yes. She said the hostess told her and I said that yes, I saw SHE was busy but why didn't the hostess, who us standing 3 feet from us, didn't just grab one herself for me since she was in the kitchen and had to walk past us to get back to her station and was told that was not her job and she didn't help them with anything. ARE YOU F$#%ING KIDDING ME??? Well, the steak was a flavorless, cold mess. By then, the chicken was also cold and the mashed potatoes were awful too. On a positive note, the green beans were good. The whole time we were there, about an hour, the manager stood at the end of the bar (seems to be his favorite perch because that is where he is always at) talking to the bartender and never once walked around asking anyone how things were. Since being stationed at Fort Bliss I haven't found anything like being back east coast. Other than Applebee's and Texas Roadhouse... Anything else is Mexican food or spicy food, or fast food chains. 1st time going here, let me state they served my daughter cold chicken tenders, my food was also cold. The 2nd time giving it another shot, I ordered a steak, it wasn't cooked the way I asked, the waiter looked as if he has smoked a joint before taking our order and disappeared for a good 45 mins. Drinks never came, finally the manager came over and gave my meal for free and gave my girls free desserts. 3rd time going.. The staff were to busy taking about how their hair looked, one had on jeans so tight if she bent over let's just say it wasnt appropriate. I've tried this location multiple times, never once have we had a good experience. Food takes forever when the place is empty. Servers are horrible as if they've never served in their life (fine understandable). Ordered wings and was charged $54 when it was supposed to be $11. Steak was overcooked and inedible (think shoe leather), server never refilled our drinks or came back to the table for that matter, and the manager didn't seem to care when we complained. This is my second time visiting this restaurant and my SECOND time having a very negative experience at this restaurant. The biggest and most frustrating issue was how we were treated. I took my son to dinner here and the waitress made him feel so disrespected, he asked to leave before finishing his meal and told me he never wants to eat there again. After correcting her multiple times (I'm talking 10+ times) of my sons gender, she continued to call him "ma'am" and us "ladies". I can't really find any excuse for this, after someone tells you "I'm not a female" once, you should stop at that. I told her straight up "he's a boy" and even made it a point to order my sons food just so I could say "My SON would like __" Excuse me HE would like a refill please" etc multiple times. She also ignored every time he asked her for things (he asked for a new water 3x during the meal and finally brought it after we signed the check). We also explained several times NO GLUTEN due to an allergy (grilled chicken not breaded) and they brought out breaded anyways. After telling them TWICE this isn't what we ordered, the cook returned with a cold sad dry little chopped up chicken "breast". He had to ask for his meal's side item 4x. The meat on my meal was dry and over cooked. Also had to ask for my side item of guac 3x and finally received it as my food was nearly cold. Same with napkins, as I ordered a messy burger and wouldn't dare start eating without napkins. By the time she brought them out there food was cold. The artichoke dip was alright, but half the chips were crushed small. We had to keep asking for the same things over and over and I felt they were straight up annoyed I had to keep asking. I noticed it wasn't just our server we had issues with. I saw the guests in the table next to mine ask their server and a host 3x for silverware while their food sat cold in front of them. The waitresses acted like they were too busy for their tables, although there at 4:15 and the restaurant was at low capacity. I don't know what is going on with all the employees but I had a horrible experience and I am very upset that my son feels so disrespected that he wouldn't stand to visit Applebees again. This was my first time at Applebee's in El Paso, and it was a little better than I expected. It's great for a quick, cheap meal. I got the chicken quesadillas but they were cold, so I ate one then put them in box to microwave at home. They are better microwaved. We were seated near a TV, so the kids had something to watch. The kids menus were just printed on computer paper, so it looked like they ran out of the colorful kids menus that they can play games on. How do you run out of kids menus?
