Went to Union Draft House on a weekday during lunch and the restaurant was empty. It was very surprising to us... maybe because there were a lot of other restaurants around, but who knows. We were able to seat ourselves and were eventually greeted. We were told by our waitress all of their day "specials" which included $5 double pepperoni pizza, which was ordered. I also ordered the hot Italian sub. We also tried their ceviche and their Philly cheesesteak subs. All of the food was served hot and was pretty good. The ceviche was surprisingly tasty. Also it didn't take long for our food to come out. Our waitress (sorry can't remember her name) was very nice and patient with us because we had a lot of requests lol. This spot reminds you of like a Hooters so it definitely has a bar with a lot of seating with a lot of TVs. So I'm sure on game days, it's packed... well at least I hope so. read more

We had been eyeing this place for several months and finally stopped by yesterday. The restaurant itself was clean and well laid out, although there were a LOT of televisions. Our server was Iris, and she definitely bumped this review up from a 4 to a 5. She was attentive and friendly without hovering and was working hard as the place got busier. My husband and i split the pretzel, which was delicious! Usually I prefer the beer cheese, but their horseradish honey mustard dip was amazing! I also had a flight of sour beers and enjoyed the rainbow sherbert in particular. We went on a Saturday and my husband enjoyed the special endless wings. The wings themselves were meaty and delicious, but he thought the two wet sauces he tried (spicy garlic and mango habanero) were reminiscint of buffalo sauce with a little additional flavors. He also had the spicy lemon pepper and it was excellent! I definitely plan to visit again and hopefully we'll be lucky enough to have Iris as our server. read more

The jalapeños lovers pizza was delicious, my husband had previously visited another location and had a torta which he thought the meat was super hard. He decided on the Cubano which was actually delicious and one of the closest Cubans we have had in a while. I was excited to have a healthy and tasteful salad called geske's salad with juicy grilled chicken that I remember fondly having once before. What I received today was so disappointing. The salad itself was great but the chicken was burnt to a crisp & was dry. It felt careless and disrespectful that anyone would serve something burnt to a paying customer. It felt like there was no care on the cooks end. But I tried to eat it anyways because I was so hungry and I didn't want to be that customer that asks to take the meal back. But as I kept eating it just felt like this can't be healthy for me to eat. So I refrain from the last bites of chicken. Towards the very end I decided that I should ask if I can have the chicken removed from my meal which was just a 4 dollar charge. I didn't think it would be a problem because I have proof of the state the chicken was in. So I ask the lovely waitress but she needed to ask the manager. The manager (Name: Thorin Feilds) came and he seemed like he would be cool about it and understanding and apologetic. But he wasn't at all... He just commented that there was nothing that he could do as I ate most of the food and I was stunned because I showed him the burnt chicken that I couldn't eat anymore because it was inedible and I expressed to him that it wasn't okay. Our waitress was so quick to assume we weren't going to tip her after we paid our bill (we usually tip in cash). She came back and I'm guessing she saw the receipt because she came back and asked if we tipped. She then came back again and tried to be slick by trying to get our plates out of the way and proceeded to ask again if we were just not going to tip her and why. She then said it's because she doesn't get paid hourly. After that, she went on to go tell this other table of two guys of our situation and they started staring at us. Rude Managers. They need to train staff about alcohol consumption. Staff is great but management instead of explaining issues to staff they rather belittle servers and yell at customers. Daphney and Jacob at Eastlake location are rude and don't know how to talk to staff and customers. Patience towards staff demonstrates great management. Service was slow for only 3 tables of customers for the first half of the visit. Got bottomless wings and it felt as if they purposefully went slow in between orders and started bringing cold wings out to make them unappealing. Ambiance was whatever typical sports bar feel music to loud for how little customers. After doing some shopping in the area, we stopped in for lunch and, of course, a cold beer. The attached place is under construction, so we were uncertain at first, but once we figured it out and headed inside, the server was hustling as fast as she could! I can only give my opinion on the food and the service and both of them were good. Wasn't crazy loud not to hear the person or group that you are with but still full of patrons that enjoy a nice drink while watching a sporting event or just relaxing after a long day. Very attentive staff and the food hit the spot. I can't ask for more when all of those needs are met so I can only say that I enjoyed the experience. Provecho! read more

My husband and I have been here a handful of times, each time having decent service, good wings, and beer. I fear that if you are looking for a place that'll be accommodating to its customers in terms of games on the plethora of TV's, this is NOT your place. The management seems to be lacking here with its' less-than-helpful manager who refused our larger group and another next to us the big college football games that were on because he simply did not want to change the TV's. We noticed that no one else was even looking at any of the TV's so it was frustrating that we only came to watch a certain game and it could not be arraigned. Disgusting. Sleazy. Horrible. Feel robbed. Went here on a Wednesday night for their dollar pizza special and some beers. Place was packed which is always a good sign. We sat down and the waitress came over to get our drink order. Really good selection of beers on tap, which always makes me leery. I have to wonder when was the last time (if ever) that the beer lines were cleaned. Server was very quiet and impossible to hear over the music. Despite asking her to repeat herself multiple times I never heard what she was actually saying. Beers arrived quickly and were decently cold. Ordering pizza was another adventure, since I couldn't hear her. I think she repeated our order, but she could have been saying random words for all I could tell. When the pizzas came out, about 2/3 of them were what we had ordered. The other toppings weren't bad, they just weren't what we wanted. Only other gripe I have is that they were out of shrimp. I don't recall having shrimp on pizza before and really wanted to try it. The servers are all women, and apparently the uniform is short / tight shirts and a very tight tank top. While they were mostly attractive, I'd much prefer my server be competent vs dressing provocatively. The server cashed us out, ran my card and gave me a receipt. As we were getting ready to leave she came back over and told us that she had charged us the wrong amount and we had actually paid a different tables bill. She informed me that she was going to refund the original amount, and charge me the correct amount. Who knows if I will wind up with 2 charges or not. I was left speechless. Someone at the table made a comment about how there was a discount on the bill due to the mistake. She blankly looked at him and said "sorry". Too bad it was anything but sincere. To say I was left speechless is an understatement. The final issue I had with this place was the TouchTunes jukebox. I loaded up some credits and chose like 7 songs to play. They were a few songs deep, so I knew it would be a little bit. Once my first song started playing I was enjoying it. About 20 seconds into the song though, it stopped playing and my next song started. I was within sight of the jukebox and could see as repeatedly my songs were skipped until there weren't any left. This wasn't a fast pass which would have placed the persons song next. Instead this was the bartender or another employee. They forced it to skip my songs so that mine couldn't be heard. I didn't even know this was an option. I feel like they stole from me. I paid for a good (songs) and didn't get to hear them. I should have paid more attention to the other ratings. Great wings, meaty - not all fat and skin. Pizza very good, especially the crust, it's got a crispy-chewy consistency that somehow works to produce a positive experience for the palate. There was an issue with the oven and the pizza was delayed, but the Union team communicated well with us, keeping us informed and in the end made the slight inconvenience forgettable. Overall, I'm coming here again. The atmosphere feels like a sports bar, but then again it is literally a sports bar. Lots of variety on the screens. We recently visited the Union Draft House on George Dieter and was very pleased. Joey the manager was very helpful. Joey is very knowledgeable about everything on the menu and helped us decide on some delicious wings. I've seen yelps and a lot of people are giving this place bad reviews based off music being too loud. I just want to say those people are tripping lol. I'm not one of these younger generations I am 31 and I loved that aspect of this establishment. If you're going their mid day close to at night that's the vibe you want if you go with friends talking can wait you come to listen to music drink and just vibe. My wife, my friend, I went last night and they had a DJ named Kosmic that had us dancing to every single song and I mean every single one and even some of the waitresses dancing having a great time. A Sports Bar that isn't a Sports Bar, meaning before you open the door you hear the unpleasant volume of music usually found in Night Clubs - then you open the door and you suddenly just can't think straight. The smell is interesting but definitely not normal for a clean place of business. There is no greeter so be prepared to walk around not knowing what to do, unless you are lucky to sit at the bar. Better wear hearing protection though, huge speakers will make having a conversation impossible. We needed to sit elsewhere, but the volume just continued to make conversation and watching the NBA Playoffs difficult. They had a DJ doing the music, intentionally. After sitting down we realized that there was less people than there were dirty tables. The staff appeared to be terribly small in number, and each with a scowl as if they were in prison working the cafeteria. The food, a Burger and a Cuban sandwich, were also horrible. A place should not have a Cuban Sandwich unless: 1- They know how to make it , 2- Know the way to make it , 3- Have the necessary pieces and ingredients to make it, and 4- Have the Pride, Soul, and Esteem to make every single one the best. However, the true basic test of any restaurant is the burger. A Burger is the one item that by McDonalds Standards is "UnF@******". If a business can't produce a good burger every time, then something needs to change, or John Taffer needs to pay a visit. My wife became slightly ill at the end. Not sure if it was the Burger or the beer, but as soon as we could settle the check we left. Sorry Union Drafthouse. This place has a nice environment. My husband and I go here most Saturdays to watch boxing fights. I love that as a woman I am comfortable around all the young ladies! They are very respectful and have amazing service! The food is hit or miss for us because we are pescatarian so we only get their seafood options. The only thing I like is the Buffalo shrimp and it depends on the cook that night. Sometimes it can be two doughy with the shrimp batter. So I recommend asking for it well done. I came here with my dad to try a new restaurant here in El Paso since we love to try new things. We each ordered a drink and shared an appetizer then each an entree. I ordered the pickle red beer and honestly it was amazing. We shared the spinach artichoke dip with the kettle chips and that was okay. For my entree I ordered the Korean Philly cheesesteak and the flavor was okay but it was extremely soggy the second you picked it up it fell apart. The only real bad thing I could say about this place was the music was so loud I left with a massive headache and it was extremely vulgar so it is definitely not a family friendly place. To their subjective opinion, they decide to skip classics....mind you the machine was on auto play, but once we decide to play Dean Martin and Edgar Allen Coe they played over the tunes. I am very disappointed. They skipped our music on touch tunes that is not to their liking. After we complained they put up a sign on the juke box. When brought up to the attention of Luna the "supervisor" she said the music was not in accordance to their policy. I have been to several Union draft houses and this was by far the worst experience I have had. It's not the place but the people that work there that is bad. Maybe the management. So if you go you will notice that the employees hang out together in a corner of the bar drinking and flirting with each other. All the while people are sitting having to flag down servers to get attention. The customer service was very poor, the employees seem to be more interested in socializing with each other than serving the customer. We were there to watch games and the TV's and the layout was nice. Our drinks were constantly empty though. Like I said the place is good but the service is awful.
