We hadn't ordered here in a while due to poor service. Tonight it sounded good, so we thought we would give them another chance. I placed our order on the mobile app and arrived at the time it was to be ready. I walk up to the pick up order location and give the server my name. Without skipping a beat he said "it's not ready." With a confused look on my face I said I had just given my name and wondered how he knew it wasn't ready. 30 minutes later I was still waiting for our order without any further acknowledgment from any member of the staff. I finally went up to one of the staff and told them to cancel my order. She went back to the kitchen. Upon her coming out she threw her arms up in the air and gave me a shrugged look. Before I could walk walk out the door, she told me to scan the que code to tell them about my experience. I said I already had. I can't remember the last time I had been to an Applebee's. I was visiting Duncan and my colleague hadn't been in a while and had a hankering. First, the bad news: like many restaurants, it is understaffed, and you can't help but notice. The good news is that the staff they have is awesome and the food is totally worth it. We tried the appetizer sampler platter and I ordered the Whole Lotta Bacon Burger. The mini quesadillas and the hot spinach artichoke dip were standouts. The burger was literally one of the best I ever had. Seared to perfection and dressed with fresh vegetables and a perfect amount of sauce. It was stellar. Our server was wonderful, efficient but never to the point we felt rushed. She was friendly, professional, and an overall delight. I'm a believer! I'm putting Applebee's into my regular burger rotation. read more

i see lots of negative reviews here. justas a peace token and to keep people from dogpiling ab i mention that a while back about a year i had the chicken lime cheese dish. i havent tried it again but at the time i would rate it as about 6 out of 10 and honestly the best thing ive eaten there in say 2 years. its worth a try . i suppose they have a manager but if so he she lets some really poor food go to customers. i know it was 50 cent march madness nite but some of the wings --bbq were so pitifically (new word for pitiful) over cooked that i wouldnt be at all surprised if the wings they served me had been on the service line 4 nights, i could have cracked granite with those wings. worst part is their sorry state was so visible to the eye. where is the mgr? what is his job? ab consistently and graphically overcook their food. if they don't make changes soon in the k itchen and managerially they are done for, if it was my ab, i would make mgr number one job to get into the kitchen and stay there. inspect every plate before customer delivery. then give kitchen and especially fry cooks intensive training on how not to cook. if no improvement in 2 weeks, fire the cooks or a senior manager. prep people are doing their job it appears. maybe the fry cooks are over loaded. it is ab managements job to fix it, so far ab management have completely failed at their job. i cant say all their food has gone downhill because much of the food is already in the bottom of the valley and cant get any lower. ab missing a great opportunity in duncan cause there is very little half decent restaurant food here. they would have a gold mine if theyjust get average quality up into the 6 out of 10 category.the ab sr mgrs need to car pool down for a week or more and fix it. they need their qtrly annual bonuses tied to fixing duncan no fix, no bonus..... read more

Lady at the bar was so unprofessional we were removed from the bar and told to sit at a regular table ,I told her it was fine but she was already giving really bad vibes and an attitude so i requested a new waiter for me and the guys but she kept leaving the bar to come to our table to try and give us service after she already kicked us out the bar which made no sense. Few minutes go by we finally receive our food and our new waiter and outa no where a dude shows up at the bar sits next to us and starts cuzzin everyone at our table saying we called her wife a "bi**h" tryna start a fight threatning to F us up . Long story short lady at the bar made up a story to her husband so he pulled up the restaurant to try and beat us up which just escalated from a story she made up just because I refused her service. I told the manager she seemed really sweet and understanding but that was so childish and unprofessional from the bartender. Mind you her husband was insulting us to try and provoke us so we could react it was 3 of us and he was alone im sure he was carrying by the way he was acting whole thing couldve went south but man im glad we kept our cool and just left my buddy whos a veteran had his phone on 911 and the girls husband was just making fun of him for getting ready to call the cops . Was told the name of our server when we were seated. Didn't see him for 10 minutes until he waddled up and took our drink and food order. At some point he asked me loudly about the shirt I was wearing, a shirt of a band I love. He went on later to yell across 2 tables that he was in music. Continued to shout over the noise of the restaurant until we finally ignored him enough that he came to our table and eventually stopped. Food was good, definitely the highlight. Women's bathroom door was propped open with a sign about not wanting to break the glass. Had men walking in and out of it often which made it super uncomfortable to use the restroom. read more

This is the worst Applebee's I wave ever been to and I have been to them in Mexico. The staff is horrible with the exception of Jen at the bar. The kitchen can't cook anything consistently or properly. The manager may need to do their job and fix all the issues in that place. The AC goes out, the beer taps are down for weeks and the beer is flat that comes from the taps. The food tastes like it has been cooked by a child and the kitchen blares their music louder than the house selected music. I can watch the dinners in the restaurant get u comfortable as this happens. The cooking staff has no rules and I see them come out of the kitchen dancing and talking about fighting. We've been a few times since my first review, hoping it will get better, but it does not. I doubt we will go back. I noticed it still has old carpet. It stinks. The smell hits you as soon as you walk in. Anyway, we went around 2, when it's not that busy, but it still took a long time. The server took our drink order and left. 10 minutes later, someone else came over, slammed her order pad on the table, and asked us what we wanted for drinks. She looked visibly annoyed. I advised we had already ordered drinks. She just looked at me. We went ahead and reordered them. Drinks were brought about 10 minutes after that (about 20 minutes after we originally ordered). She took our order at that time. About 5 minutes after that, she came back and asked for our order again. She said the computer messed up. We'd been here almost 30 minutes so far and had just received drinks and had to place our order twice. It wouldn't be that bad if we didn't have to listen to an obnoxious woman giving her loud opinion on everything from politics to climate issues from cars, while eating with her mouth open, sticking her fingers in her mouth apparently to get stuck food out, and tucking her napkin underneath her belly. Not the restaurants fault, but we wouldn't have had to listen to it as long had we not been there for over an hour and a half. Our appetizer came out 30 minutes after the servers visit when we'd been there for almost an hour. Our food came quite a bit after that. It was actually quite tasty, but it contained no condiments. This place is awful. Come see for yourself. I'm 56 years old. I dine in restaurants 5-10 times a week and have done so for years. I don't remember worse service or more filth. No staff was on the floor or anywhere in sight when we entered. There were a few diners there so we knew they were not closed. There were only 4 tables in total that had been bussed. See video and pictures. There was deep water in the bathroom floor. After being seated, we learned that their grill was broken and so we couldn't have burgers or quesadillas. Went to this restaurant last weekend. We went there because we didn't feel like driving to Lawton. That was a mistake. I ordered the double crunch shrimp. It was obvious that the deep fryer was not up to temperature. The breading on my shrimp was soooo mushy and oil soaked. Double Crunch Shrimp? I would have been happy with one crunch. My wife got the fish and chips and had the same problem. Fish was greasy. We will bite the bullet next time and drive to Lawtom. read more

Going to a chain like Applebee's is all about managing your expectations. I'd much prefer a non-chain restaurant that I found with my trusty Yelp App but sometimes location is everything. In this case they were adjacent to my hotel and I was tired so they got my business. The style of an Applebee's can vary quite a bit depending upon when they received a remodel. This one is only about a year old so it's the latest version. I must admit it looks quite good and of course everything is new. As I sauntered up to the bar I was softly chanting my mantra- "mange your expectations, manage your expectations, mange your expectations........" I'll spare you tons of details because you don't need them. There was nothing that was bad but there also was nothing that wowed me. Our servers name was Bree, she was extremely pleasant and accommodating. I am giving a whole star just for her! I ordered the Bourbon street steak with a side of garlic mashed potatoes and a coffee. The coffee was served promptly and warm, after putting three small creamers into the coffee it was luke warm but still drinkable. My steak came and was overcooked, it was on a bed of under-cooked onions. Honestly, I took a couple bites and decided to just get a to go box for my dog. I ordered a second coffee at the end of my meal while my daughter ate her desert. My second coffee came luke warm, after two creamers it was cold. On the other Hand, my daughter ordered the broccoli Alfredo and a mini fudge brownie. She said her food was good, so I am giving a star for her food as well. read more

Extremely poorly managed. There was a table that all of the staff had their own drinks and food at and would stop by to take a bite and drink. There was a LOT of standing around We waited around 45 minutes to just be asked what we would like to drink. They brought us someone else's order TWICE then when we got our order they'd made us 2 burgers instead of 2 quesadillas and tried to tell me it was correct. The people next to me have been done eating since we got here and are still waiting to pay and leave. Another group across from me is also still waiting on their food and their drinks have already been emptied for awhile. Also, no napkins or silverware. Very very poor. Only positive, food was okay but I can get food elsewhere for less hassle. read more

Came in and the host was very friendly her name was Davee. We got seated very quickly. Our server was Katelyn she was amazing. Our appitizer came out perfect. Our food was out in under 20 mins. The manager Tessica came by and asked us how our steaks were, and we were very happy with them. They were cooked perfectly. Our sister's skillet came out sizzling, and looked amazing! We were very skeptical about coming in because of the previous experiences we had here. We saw on Facebook that they were under new management, and thought we would give them another chance. I am so glad we did, because our experience tonight was great. Whoever this new management team is knows what they are doing, because this is way different than we remember. The food has not been this good in forever!!!!!!!! We will be back soon. I hope the new manager is there. She told us she was the new kitchen manager, and they have new cooks. Me and my family went there because we just wanted to eat, and we ordered food as usual and we asked for drinks and didn't even have the ones we ordered. We had to change our drinks, when we got them they didn't even give us straws. The waiter was extremely unprofessional and even mentioned smoking a cigarette before taking our orders. When he did it took us about 45 minutes to get our appetizers and took another hour before getting our food. The steak was extremely chalky and over seasoned, and the salad was really stale. Rough visit!!! We stood at the entry for nearly 5 minutes and didn't see an employee for most of the time- at all- not at any of the tables- not at the bar- certainly not at the door! After awhile one would pop her head out of a door and look around and go back in. Finally someone came out and asked if we had been greeted- when we said no- she went and had the host/busboy come seat us. Our waitress was nice and did a good job. But we are sitting there nearly surrounded by dirty tables. Probably 80% of the tables had dirty dishes. There was one dude (the host/busboy) slllooowwlly cleaning. Took him 4 trips to empty and clean one table. After my husband started taking some pictures, it seemed like the place finally came alive and several were cleaning at one time- sadly they actually only cleaned a few of them at that time then quit for awhile. They did, however discuss how hard it was to clean and catch up and how busy they were. Perhaps they had been busy before we arrived, but the majority of tables were empty- though not clean. We sat outside waiting till 8:06 for the young man to bring out our order. My husband was missing his breadstick in his Chicken Parmesan. Instead of sour cream, my daughter got butter with her Chicken Quesadilla. I ordered the Fiesta Lime Chicken for myself, and it was great! I'm not sure what took so long with the Carside To Go, but it was pretty frustrating. However, I understand things happen though, so we will give them another chance.
