Still my favorite late night restaurant in the area. They offer the best Happy Hour specials. Jared, the bartender, is usually there when we go in and he gives us good service. The place is clean, not too noisy. They have a pay to play jukebox which is a nice option to select your own music style. The chicken Wonton Tacos are consistently good here. Always crunchy and there is a decent amount of filling. The filling has a sweet flavor. Lots of textures in this sweet and savory appetizer dish which I love... light, flaky and crunchy taco exterior, tender, sweet chopped chicken and crisp coleslaw inside. It's been a couple of years since I've visited Applebee's, especially this location in Clermont, and I am surprised the restaurant still stays open until midnight and offers a happy hour starting at 10 PM for appetizers and drinks which is something you don't usually find at late night spots. The appetizer selection is great; I highly recommend the wonton tacos. For happy hour drinks, everything is included except the cocktails. The service is good, and we usually sit in the bar area for quicker attention, though it often feels like they're a bit short-staffed. It's been a minute since I've gone into an Applebee's and eaten there, but boy, was I glad to have been there that night. I was famished. They definitely brought nostalgic snacks and mind you, during happy hour, and it was second to none. The service was impeccable just as the ambiance of fun in this place. My friends and I opted for chicken quesadills and their ever so tasty chicken wonton tacos which was really a treat. The mozarrella sticks were oozing with cheeese when you broke it half and pair it up with one of their signature or even seasonal cocktails, you are down for a social night. We haven't had the best luck at any Applebee's lately. But we needed a late bite to eat, and most places were closed or really busy (plus I was craving Applebee's boneless wings, and we were almost to 10pm for half-price appetizers). I'm glad we stopped. We were seated in minutes, and greeted energetically by our server, Adolpho. His smile and enthusiasm were infectuous. His recommendation of the wonton taco's was spot-on! While he did forget that my wife asked for hot water with lemon (he brought ice water), the poor guy was also tending to a large group nearby, and his personality and positivity far overcame the one small mis-step. Our food was promptly served with smiles by two other employees who were also pleasant and energetic. I tried one of the wonton tacos, and Adolpho was right. they were tasty! (warning, they ARE a little spicy - and I like spicy). The food looked great, tasted great, and thanks to half-price appetizers after 10, what a bargain! In short, our decision to try Applebee's again was a good one. We had a great experience, and will visit this location again for sure - especially if we can get Adolpho as our server (he made sure to let us know he usually works the early shift. Today was decent for Applebees since it's always a hit or miss. But I am giving it high marks because there was kid named Trey and he was hostessing and showed some real promise for the continued positive growth of this place. He was very friendly and helpful. Since we waited so long for things we got to watch the staff and I will say that kid hustles. He was bussing every table, talking to every guest, fixing stuff in the kitchen for the servers. The service was a bit awkward to start with as there was limited staff. Our server was attentive and the kids enjoyed their Buffalo boneless wings. Originally there was some Cheetos wings ordered but we had replaced as the kids did not like them. The powder just clumps up. I would be interested in trying a dry rub. My wife enjoyed her french onion soup, though the cheese needs a bit more brown gooeyness. The prime rib dip was fine, but better Swiss and not cheddar. The au ju was basically like the French onion soup. I had the impossible cheese burger and it met expectation. My wife actually bought more Buffalo wings for herself and the kids at home. The restaurant was clean, the drinks could be stronger, but the refills on the drinks and prompt service balanced things out. Horrible customer service (and not the first time either). My wife attempted to place a "to go" order in person - was told by the host that a server would take her order. Waited over five minutes and then left without ordering. The host announced to incoming customers that the kitchen was "backed up" and instructed them to be seated at the bar. Then a Carrabba's delivery person arrived with a dinner order for the Applebee's staff. Previously, we waited and waited for a "to go" order and their staff was confused on payment for our order, allowing our food to get cold in the process. We are a party of four. We ordered an appetizer, but never received it. When the server brought our meals, we inquired about our appetizer. She asked if we still wanted it. We stated, only if it was free. She clearly stated that it wouldn't be free. She said it was prepared, but probably sitting in the window... yeah, right. She returned to our table only after we asked several other employees to come and check on us for throughout our meal for water refills or other items needed. SMH... It took her forever to bring our check, and when she brought it, she'd put the four meals on one check. Not once did she ask if we needed separate checks... I wanted a Oriental Fried Chicken salad so that meant a visit to the local Applebees's. Had one of the best experiences at an Applebee's perhaps EVER! If the waitress Kenni us working--ask for her. She is worth waiting for. In fact, she should be promoted to a management position. She anticipated our needs. Her recommendations were spot on. She had all the tables in our section and handled it with ease. Each patron was treated like they were her only table. The iced tea cups never were empty. She understood Covid and made sure we were served in keeping with all precautionary recommendations. I was particularly impressed that she gloved up to refill our coffee. The steaks were cooked to order and arrived at the proper temperature. Amazing because at the home Applebee's you could order your steak at any level of doneness as long as you accept it dry and well done. LOL. I think they must filter their water. When i asked for them to make it again she grabbed a glass cup and threw it at my sweet baby boy. She also yelled "I FUCKING HATE KIDS" she said my kids were being picky and annoying. I asked for her manager and she took another cup and threw it at my other kid and screamed. My sweet babies were in the hospital for 3 days with a concussion. The waitress literally put salt in my tea when i asked for sugar. She was very disrespectful. The steak was tough and difficult to cut. Very little spinach and no grains but there was rice which was not on the description. I don't eat rice. Also be sure to ask for a 6 or 9 oz glass of wine. They automatically bring the 9 oz which is more expensive and more than I want to drink..they should offer the option..my friend ordered the steak and shrimp parmigian and could barely find shrimp..asked if a side salad could be a side and was told yes... never mentioned it was an additional charge.. and the salad came out after her meal.. two of our entree's came out and the other two came out 5 minuets later.. really! This place could be a gem clean pretty good food . Went tonite for the 6.99 burger deal . Bartender was out wAitress was very courtyard nice at first . We had another couple coming took a bit for her to come back as she was busy as they are short staffed . We tried to get her attention for our second drink and food order she gave us a nasty look and comment . We asked for the manager I was like wtf thought he was like the cook or dishwasher he was apologizing and got our drinks . The reviews...the one and two stars...Were sadly correct. And I never made it inside! I ordered our meal online and then pickup time was 832pm. I left a little later and arrived at the parking spot for Curbside Pickup. Upon arrival at 837pm I immediately texted "here" per their text instructions. 840pm comes and goes... 845pm comes and goes... Finally at 847pm I call the number shown on the parking sign and the woman replies that they're not supposed to be doing curbside delivery at this hour. (Odd since their web site doesn't indicate that.) At 850pm I receive our food from a very nice woman who was deeply apologetic, which I appreciated. But the food had cooled with all that waiting around. We got the thai shrimp salad which was ok. The shrimp concerned me and I hope we don't regret it, but the shrimp did not seem cooked completely. We also had ribs and they were good except for the very salty and peppery dry rub on the underside of them. The sauce was thin on the other side and no extra sauce was included, which I'd requested. The chicken quesadilla looked NOTHING like the image on the menu. Ours were moist from grease. The filling seemed to contain more cheese than chicken. The grease level was over the top. How much better would the food have been if there had been some compensation for their inattentiveness​? Maybe, I'd have been less caustic and bugged bringing the food home. But all I was told is, "We can't even see people if they're parked out here. (AWESOME.) I'm working the bar. They don't have anyone doing this other than me." Ok I get it. Okay. I haven't tried much of the food here. A light lunch once and a late night appetizer and a beer. The lunch was fine. Nothing and better or worse than anywhere else that serves soup and salad. The late night snack hit the spot better and had more meaning. Our server was Trevor and he blew it out of the park. He redeemed our night from a previous establishment that really messed up our meal. Trevor's service was just the right touch. There when we needed him and not overly aggressive. Perfect. We enjoyed the Wonton Tacos and a Goose Island draft. In fact we whose them so much I want more of them right now! Way to go Trevor! Bottom line, this is a chain restaurant and we all kinda know what to expect for food. But we all visit them from time to time because of that; we know what we'll get. I was very disappointed after visiting this establishment. Food was incredibly salty. We ordered the Bourbon Shrimp and Chicken, as well as appetizers.
