The food and service was terrible!! It took a half an hour to get refill on all you can!

Came here for my anniversary looking forward to a drink, but I couldn't even get as much as a glass of water sat there for 15 minutes waiting, the table next to us was served refreshments as well as took the order and we still hadn't even seen our server and on top of that the hostess, who is cleaning the tables had his pants down below his butt after viewing that and knowing we had waited over 20 minutes and couldn't even get a drink we just walked out. Typical Applebees, clean. Service was good but the food wasn't. I had the fiesta lime chicken and my husband had the bourbon shrimp and chicken. Very salty, shrimp rubbery, chicken was dry. But the mashed potatoes were good! read more

ordered online for pickup an hour later. arrived, called the number on the sign, spoke to Brody, and received my order in less than 2 minutes. Checked the order while in the parking space and discovered one item was missing. Called the same number and got Brody again, who immediately offered to connect me with his manager, Micheon (so sorry I'm sure I got the spelling of her name incorrect). She answered immediately and offered to correct the mistake. She also gave me an accurate time for the item to be prepared and delivered to me in the car. She brought out the item personally, and had also included a child's dessert because it was his item that had been forgotten. She and Brody were both very understanding and polite. I could tell that they both cared about the mixup and making the tiny mistake right. Christmas season, lots of people stressed and doing extra tasks on top of their normal schedule, yet they made sure that I was able to get exactly what I ordered to pick up on my way home from work easily and even "sweetened" the the experience with a dessert that put a smile on my son's face. And mine. What a wonderful experience during a common time of stress for a lot of people. I will definitely be ordering from them again because in addition to the stellar service, our food was excellent. Thank you, Micheon and Brody. The food was really amazing. I loved my steak, broccoli, and mac & cheese. Unfortunately, though, the waiter ( i didn't catch her name) was seemingly trying to rush me and my friend out, and she didn't ask us if we wanted to pay separately or together. The vibe was pretty relaxed. read more

Last night we had friends with kids in town. They wanted Applebee's because they had some gluten sensitivity issues and their menu has it marked. Well we show up the hostess goes and ask the server if it's ok where we sit because we have 3 adults 3 kids. The table we walked to had trash and French fries all over the ground and fries on the seat and the table was sticky. I was embarrassed. The person bussing the tables really missed it all over the restaurant. No one sweeps the floors after someone else. It wasn't just our table it was all over. I'm writing this review for the public safety here. Let's not talk about the minimum subpar food. This reflects the manager here no one else . read more

Ordered 8oz sirloin and it was filled with fat. Potatoes were not that good. Broccoli was ok. They offered to replace the steak but since we tried to tolerate and ate most of it, they would not make us another. Not that we asked because we didn't, my daughter spoke up and said their steak is full of fat. The shrimp was ok. Service was slow. Will not go back as the steak was $16.99 and not worth it and the mashed potatoes tasted awful, I can't even explain what it was they put in them to make them taste like that. Absolutely worst service ever. It took our waitress atleast 10-20 minutes from asking her for example a drink to get another drink. We sat there for about an hour waiting for 2 pasta meals and 2 chicken strip meals, 2 of those being kids meals. We had multiple other tables served 15 minutes before us, who were there after us. I would NOT recommend this Applebees. We didn't even tip, when we normally would, but the service was that bad. Not to mention every item we ordered came wrong, the kids pasta didn't come with chicken. My Alfredo was starchy, with no sauce, and then when I asked for more sauce, it took 20 minutes to get there and then we were charged $2.50 for a tiny sauce cup of Alfredo? Wasnt even noticed til walking out. Maybe less then half of the tables were full. Seated immediately but sat with no offer of water or acknowledged for about 15-20 minutes before walking out. Even moved to the bar and was ignored by the bartender who helped others who came after us. Havent been to an applebees in years and will continue to never ever go again. We hadn't been to this Applebee's location and likely won't be going back with all the other options in CR. It's definitely adequate though. The wait time wasn't bad for a Friday night, but their waiting area is not adequate. They either need more wait space or to update their wait system with pagers. We actually got into a seat quicker than estimated (yay!), but the booth and the table were wet (boo!). The neighborhood nachos were pretty good. Seemed like poblanos instead of jalepenos, which were really good with the dish. It took quite a while to get them out to us. The queso and everything else was room temperature when it got out to us. Seems like it probably sat around a bit. Wifey's steak was not well done. The server was all over it. She and the manager were both apologetic and quick to take care of the problem. I actually really enjoyed the BBQ Brisket Tacos. The barbecue seasoning was not overstated where some may tend to slather it. The blend of flavors was nice. I thought the lime slices were there as an afterthought, but it turns out they really added to the dish as well! read more

Went tonight to have some half off apps and the 2 for $22 with my husband and a friend. We ordered and my husband and I got both sets of wings that we ordered. Our friend hadn't received any food yet but we thought they would bring out all three apps that he had ordered out at the same time. 45 minutes later we finally saw our waitress again and he had to ask to have his chips and quest at least brought out since he was starving. She brings those out for him and then another 15 minutes passed we finally got the rest of our food. Except she had forgotten my half of the 2 for $22 order so I had to wait a little bit longer. That's fine. Except then we had waited another 15-20 minutes for mine when the manager finally brought it out. No apology from him that it was late at all. I was then frustrated when I didn't even get it the way I ordered it. After apparently looking frustrated, he asked what was wrong. Told him it was wrong but it's fine. Mentioned that our friends apps were cold except for one. The manager said he would take care of our meals. He at first didn't take any off of our friends meal and took some off ours. We waited another 10 minutes for them to get that fixed and they ended up taking more off of my husbands and I's meal and barely any off of our friends. Not worth it. Not even close. Wish we would have gone some where else. read more

Been here for 90 minutes. We ordered some apps and drinks. Apps took 45 mins to come out. No plates or silverware. Asked for them and they handed my friend plates at a station without bringing them to the table. Forgot napkins. Went and asked for those as well. Finally get into our apps, the chips look like they were heated at some point but are now ice cold. Not even safe to eat at the temperature they delivered them at. No one checked to see how our food was. Ordered a refill on my cocktail and it's been 30 mins....I checked in on it twice. Finally got my drink as I was writing this. OK, everyone knows that on Mother's Day a restaurant is going to be busy. Add in a rainy day and you are looking at a full house. Knowing this we delayed going out to eat until 3pm. We were seated immediately and after a short wait, a manager brought some waters over since our server was detained. When he got to the table we were ready and ordered our meals. The appetizer came out quickly, but when we asked for some extra salsa for our chips it didn't arrive until the chips were all gone. Not so prompt service. The meals came out but the person running the food tried to give it to another table. Luckily they didn't take it, so as the server approached carrying another of our items, he called the first server back with it. Husband ordered the steak off of the two for twenty menu. It was small, but it is only 7 ounces. The steamed vegetables were cold and horribly overcooked. It looked like they might have combined some old with new ones, but they were all sad looking. The spot of skin on mashed potatoes was also lukewarm at best. I had the three cheese pasta penne. The sauce was broken and again food was only warm. Plus the bread stick wasn't there and never came even though he had said it would be right out. Server was only adequate. He forgot coffee refill and took a while before bringing drink refills for the rest of us. The dinner plates stayed on the table even after we were done and he dropped the check. So we got to keep looking at the soggy vegetables and congealed potatoes. Normally my husband won't go to Applebee's, this visit isn't going to change his mind anytime soon. read more

Wish I could give a lower review. I've been here before and had a good meal but tonight was horrible. People were leaving without even getting a menu handed to them. Service was beyond bad. When we arrived we were told 30 minute wait which was no big deal (its Saturday night). Once seated and about 15 minutes passed I asked the hostess if a server had been assigned our table. Ordered drinks, dinner and an appetizer at the same time. Got the appetizer & ate it but still no drinks. Our server was apologetic and assured us drinks should've coming soon. 30 minutes later, I kindly asked someone if we could have waters while we waited for drinks. We waited an hour for food and watched tables who were seated long after us leave (because they were done eating!) Food finally arrives and portions of our meals were cold. Spoke with management to express our frustrations, he had nothing but a pitty story to tell AND never made our order right! I understand places are understaffed and wait times are longer than usual but 2 hours in a restaurant with a party of 5 (3 kids, 2 adults) is unacceptable. read more

The meal was subpar, onion rings were chewy, not crisp. The phromburger was fair, could compete with burger king. The Franzwich was burnt, owes The coach an apology . They have a touch screen on the table that is sticky to the touch, and bills for a game if you touch the screen wrong. We got billed, the waiter said he would take it off, he lied. Very nice waitress, and the food was ok. I has the salmon. It was prepared well, and was reasonably priced. Only downside was I was in a NON-SMOKING section, and still smelled cigarette smoke. I guess I was close to the bar. Overall, very nice place read more

Went for lunch with my husband on Sunday and there was no wait. Service was great and prompt. Food however was lackluster. Wings were dry. Bourbon St. Shrimp and chicken was served with NO garnish on a brown and black plate and looked terrible. The taste was ok--shrimp was fine, potatoes had zero seasoning. I seem to remember that Applebees used to be better. Seems like in order to keep prices down they have allowed the quality of the food to slip. read more

I haven't eaten at Applebee's in years but just today a friend and I went for some lunch. The layout hasn't changed since the last time I had eaten there. Which is fine because I always liked how everything was before. The waitress who took our order was very nice and looked generally happy to be serving us. My friend ordered a burger with fries, and a side salad. I ordered a chicken Parmesan with a side salad. The salads were very good. It may seem very menial. Like how hard is it to mess something like a salad up? Well I've been to restaurants where that has been the case. Anyway, the salads were very good. When the chicken Parmesan arrived the sauce looked very dry and pasty, but when I took the first bite and I was generally surprised that is was actually very good. The chicken was nice and crisp, and the Parmesan sauce and melted cheese was quite appetizing. The noodles weren't too bad, though the sauce could've been mixed in together better. All I can say is, is that I will definitely be stopping at Applebee's again sometime soon. read more

Nothing extraordinary, but not bad either. The cheesesticks were particularly good - good flavor, and melted but not runny. The wings were not as great, but cheap enough that I didn't mind so much. The late night appetizer special (half price after 9) is great, and it's good to have options that stay open past 10 in CR. read more

Just order to go online. Very easy to do and when I picked it up it was fast and convenient. We just finished our meal at home and would have to say everything was delicious. Steaks were cooked perfect and the broccoli was outstanding. We will not hesitate to do this again read more

This places' food is fine, its the management that sucks. They cover their own asses and don't offer any kind of empathy when talking to them. Everything seems like you're getting charged for. The waiters always seem annoyed that you're there, wasting their time. They don't even know what's on the menu. I've asked specific questions about menu items, and they always say they don't know. Take my advice and just skip this place all together. read more
