After an HOUR. We paid for the drinks and left. Some people have to work for living, and they obviously don't work at this restaurant. 0 stars (it made me put one) 10/10 will never visit here again. Once you have lived in the middle eastern food city of dearborn heights for awhile all other food becomes obsolete ! With that said we still enjoy some of the salads they have at Applebee's. This location has a hard time with fulfilling the requests of online orders such as DoorDash and or Uber eats. Missing extra sides or other items clearly marked by theses apps. Applebee's has become more of a comfort food for vs a dinning experience for me . The Mac and cheese on the menu has "changed " for the worse and was refunded for the item but non the less disappointed I was not made aware of the change and they just tried to pull it off and failed . read more

The server was friendly but that did not make up for the the worst cup of soup both visually and taste wise. Cold soup covered with rubbery cheese that seems to have sat for a while. I also ordered a frozen lemonade and it took her 2 trips to realize she did not bring it to me. My guest had shrimp wonton stir fry that was lukewarm. The whole experience was awful. This Applebee's has constantly been outputting great work. Today we experienced that and more. We began by being seated right away in a fantastic section that was quickly greeted by Crystal, our server during our time here. We ordered the 2 for $20 deal with the boneless BBQ wings with the Oriental Grilled Chicken Salad. Everything came out quick, was warm, and tasted fantastic. Crystal was honestly a fantastic server, spoke with us of our meals and constantly checked up on us while monitoring her other tables. She is fantastic and has such a great sense of humor. Horrible... Second time here in 3 days. The first time, the manager gave us a $30 gift card because of the many problems with our food, so we came to use the gift card tonight. Soup was cold the first time; we sent it back, Soup came out cold the second time; we sent it back again and spoke to the general manager, Chris Novack. Chris took the soup to the back, brought out the same soup, which is a health code violation. (It's supposed to be re-made.) Chris dropped the bowl onto the table in front of us and said, "it's warmed up." Girlfriend tasted it, burnt her mouth because the soup was scolding hot, so of course, I had a problem. The manager, Chris, stood over me talking down, which is very rude. I stood up so he could talk to me standing up. He instantly was intimidated and said he was calling the cops. Cops came, we made a report, then went to the police station to have pictures taken. Funny, Chris' general manager job is already online since November; they're looking for a new one. Haha... I promise you, Chris. When this lawsuit begins, you will be terminated. I hope Annie finds a new guy, one that has an education and wouldn't intentionally burn a women with soup. read more

The manager was friendly and engaging but Courtney our waitress needs a lesson or two. If she tells us one more time that "she doesn't know because they are busy" I'm going to ask for a manager. One of the nicest Applebees Ive been to in a long time! We were having a bad shopping day and stopped in in a grumpy mood. Immediately welcomed at the door with a down to earth hostess without a fake smile. Our conversation was genuine as we were seated. Waiter was quick with drinks and manager came over to help with a free appetizer coupon we had from Yelp. She was very nice and friendly. Ordered our food. Had appetizer within 5 minutes. We love the pretzels and cheese! So much cheese we had leftover! Never enough cheese for pretzels but this time plenty. Waiter kept drinks flowing. Meal arrived and it was delicious. Weekends bring a lively crowd into Applebee's. I'm honestly not sure what the draw is, at least as far as the food goes. The pecan blondie dessert is usually insanely delicious, but tonight the blondie (cake meets light colored brownie?) was overcooked and dry to the point where the ice cream and sugary drizzle couldn't mask it's consistency. My fish and chips was lackluster in every way. The fish was a little overdone and dry, while the breading tasted greasy and was quite hard and crunchy. Surprisingly, even the fries were not good. Greasy and heavy, if that makes sense. The coleslaw lacked flavor. I would never order fish and chips here again. On the bright side of things, my daughter's rigatoni looked good, and she enjoyed it. My youngest daughter ordered a 6 oz. sirloin that she had to send back because it was undercooked. It was perfect the second time out, and she enjoyed it. I ate half of her potatoes (she didn't like the skins mixed in) and some of the green beans (they were too mushy for her, and were doused in butter and garlic). The dessert was supposed to be our saving grace, so that disappointment makes me not want to return any time soon. read more

Applebee does a fine job here in Canton. Sandwiches are solid. Service, really solid. White Zin housewives, loud AF, but I love sitting behind them in a booth, sheer entertainment. It's huge, they also offer a meal sized salad - it's huger than the Baja desert (but I can eat it :D ) Love the quesadilla burger here and the cheese sticks w/marinara. Loathe the Spinach Dip though. It's not so swell. Very bland to me compared to some of the others out there, but I don't come here for some dip, I come here for their sandwiches and entrees. They do their steaks really well. I'm a huge endorser of their sandwiches and burgers, particularly the quesadilla burger and chicken wrap. A true must. Lots of Canton stuff on the wall. Went today after a long absence. Went about 2:30pm. Off time and very quiet. Had Jen as a server. Ordered all our food at once at the servers request. She did not write any of our order down. Had to reorder items several times. I never got my soup. Long absences between visits. All dirty dishes left on the table. No room to even sign the check. Had to ask for to go containers. The containers brought were so small that the food didn't fit. First time in forever that I didn't leave a 20% tip. Oh, something about our extra long wait - cooks didn't count the chicken finger correctly. She knew I was upset and never came back to the table. She didn't seem to care how our food was and didn't check on us after she brought our meals until she was ready to bring the check. Food was either great or we were starving to death, not sure which. Best part was how quickly it came out, appetizer was maybe a 5 minute wait and then entrees maybe 15 minutes from the time we ordered. If you like RAW CHICKEN then this is the place for you! My wife and I went there and made a simple order consisting of three things; a salad, a hamburger, and the Chicken parmesan. First I did not get the salad, that's a red flag. The food arrived and I asked where's my salad? I refused to take it since I had the main course. Then I began to eat my chicken parmesan, and it seemed tough, but it was the end of the chicken, so I continued, thinking it was overcooked since this part was thinner. So I decided to cut the chicken breast in half, all the while noticing it cut very tough. So I stuck in my fork and picked it up, only to see it was grey in color, and half cooked. The one thing I'm sorry about, is I didn't take a picture of it. Needless to say we left, since this was the second incident of raw chicken at this restaurant. The staff at this restaurant are very well trained and very friendly. I have eaten here for many years, at least once a month. I have never had my order messed up, nor had something I didn't like. They offer a weight watchers menu, if on a diet there are choices that you can enjoy. The booths are roomy and the menu has a lot of variety. I like the lunch menu, you can choose 2 items that come in a perfect size portion for lunch for 5.99. My favorite is the tomato basil soup and chicken oriental salad combo. The Chicken oriental salad is my favorite menu item, you can request grilled or fried chicken. I also get the dressing on the side and add it myself. They have several tables able to hold bigger crowds, and will push together tables for you, too. They sing happy birthday to celebrators. They have the game up on flat screens around the restaurant. The Crispy Orange Chicken Bowl and Chicken Broccoli Pasta Alfredo Bowl have long been favorites of my teens. This is a good place to come celebrate after a game, show, or day of shopping. They have takeout, with reserved parking for it. Always run into people I know here because everyone likes this Applebees. I measure by three different things in comparison to Taco Bell: DECOR: Nothing particularly special about this Applebee's in particular. I think they look all the same personally. It's just a restaurant with booths, not too much decoration or anything. I have seen Taco Bells better decorated than Applebee's and I think that's saying a lot! No stars for just being ordinary. I think whether it's more decor on the walls or being holiday decorative there could be more done! SERVICE: The service at this Applebee's is pretty good. Drinks were always refilled. Food came timely and hot. They were always checking on us, while not being intrusive or coming too often. A star for the service! FOOD: The problem is I really am not a big fan of Applebee's. I have tried many things and can't find something that makes me go wow. I usually stick with the appetizers as it's hard to mess those up. The pretzel and beer cheese is the appetizer I recommend the most. The other appetizers are just okay. Only one star for food. FINAL VERDICT: Is Taco Bell better? YES. Applebee's doesn't really have very good food. I'd say Taco Bell food is better. Not only that, but Taco Bell is also cheaper. So for the caloric intake and satisfaction it's about equal between Applebee's and Taco Bell. The difference is price. So why waste money at Applebee's when you can be just as satisfied at Taco Bell? If you are a couple, individual, a group of friends do me a favour: get some drive thru at Taco Bell and make it a Netflix night. It's a lot more quiet and entertaining, plus less social interaction! Tonight my fiancé and I visited this location for dinner. We were greeted immediately with a friendly face, and were sat right away. Our server, Maria was very pleasant. She answered every question in detail and suggested her favorite items to us. She also suggested the chocolate cake and that was amazing! By the end of the meal we got a visit from the manager, Kim, and she was also super friendly. She chatted with us for a few and we actually got to know a lot about her, and her us.
