There's never really a wait when dining in as you're seated fairly quickly . I'm a fan of the spinach artichoke dip which is the reason I come here . Other than that , this location specifically needs help when it comes to cleanliness. We were seated last night at a dirty table amongst other dirty tables. Service is terrible here, we waited 30 min for our pasta to come out and then another 30 min for the appetizers to come out. The pasta was very over cooked and I ordered breadsticks with my pasta which came out 20 min after the appetizers. Our table also had no silverware or napkins, we literally had to ask for all that once the pasta arrived. Also never got a refill on my coke or water until I was done with my pasta. We were seated really quickly, and began with our drinks, I had the Blue Sky I believe and my sister had a Strawberry Margarita ( both really tasty) then on to our food!! We ordered from the 2 for $25. I got the Fiesta Lime Chicken and my sister had the Regular Cheese Burger w/fries! We both enjoyed our meal but the Mexican rice that came with the Fiesta Lime Chicken was really dry( I didn't even eat it) but meal was otherwise pretty good n our server was friendly and checked on us n kept our water glasses full!! I've been a couple times this year, and had another very solid experience on Wednesday of this week. We were seated promptly, the front desk staff were really nice and fun for me and my kids. I tried to sign up for the Applebee's rewards, which offered a free appetizer, but the email came about 24 hours later - so if you'd like to try Applebees and join their rewards club, be sure to do so more than 24 hours before your visit! My kids got the cheeseburger (good - but boring IMO, I tried to convince them to get alfredo) and they liked the meal and sides. The yogurt with strawberries and broccoli were much better sides than just fries, although I allowed them to add fries. I LOVE the fiesta lime chicken, but let the waitress convince me to do the Sweet & Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich instead. It was pretty good - the chicken was super tender, but the sauce was a bit too sweet for my taste and the slaw was a miss. I'll stick with riblets or fiesta lime chicken in the future. The kids added ice cream sundaes for ~$2 to their meals, which made them super happy, and the service was great. I will be back to this location, although I may wait for Tuesdays when kids' meals are $1.99 each. :) read more

the service was terrible. server was named logan, he checked on us a total of 3 times and we were here over an hour. we ordered waters and a shirley temple he brought the water right away but it took him 15 minutes to bring the shirley temple. we than got our food and it was okay than 4 bites in there is hair in the pasta. GROSS. he took our order than came back less than 5 minutes later saying he forgot our order. than he did not like the tip he received so he walked out and gave it back. the service was pretty bad overall and so was the food. read more

So, I'll preface this review by saying I hadn't been to an Applebee's location in over a decade prior to this recent experience and if it wasn't one of the few places in town still open at the time, I probably wouldn't have gone at all. But, I had a mind to get some after-work food and drink and that's what I intended to do. However, I quickly realized that was not to be after sitting at the bar and reading through the menu to see no vegan options or even vegetarian options. Though, you can technically make anything vegetarian by asking the restaurant to take off the meat. So, good job vegetarians. I was disappointed, but I was already there. I decided to have a couple drinks and leave. That too became a struggle quickly. Their tap menu read like the contents of a college summer camping trip cooler. If that sounds like a compliment it isn't. I then inquired about their liquor options to find they only stock bottom and upper-bottom shelf offerings. I gave up and ordered something drinkable before my morals forced me to leave. Now, the icing atop this whole experience was the couple seated, unfortunately, next to me who were being weirdly loud and uncomfortably aggressive with each other. This, of course, isn't the restaurant's fault. It just serves to illustrate the general "vibe" of the place. I'll wrap this up by saying: If you're looking for cheap food, cheap drinks, and a cheap American dining experience, this place is for you. It's got cheap written all over it. From the time I checked in on Yelp to the time we actually received our meals (which only consisted of soup, salad, pasta, a kids pizza, and chicken wings) it had been 40 minutes. And even when we did receive our orders, multiple things were incorrect. Honestly, If I had not been with other people, I would've walked out after waiting 30 minutes. I'm not impressed with this service at all. The manager did compensate us for the huge inconvenience, but our time was wasted and full of hunger. I didn't even eat my meal, my appetite is gone. We tried the all you can eat boneless wings offer and we're somewhat disappointed. You get 10 wings, a few small ones that are mostly the coating. Overall pretty tasty but the kitchen is sllllowww. The waiter brought out first which took over 20 mins and they were not busy at all. After that they bring you 5 more small wings which also takes 20mins when you want more. Too much time to spend for 5 little wings to be brought out each time. If you have all day go for it but we prefer to not waste time waiting. The water is blah so bring something to put in it . He came and checked on us a total of 3/4 times while we were there over an hour just sitting there. Waiting awhile for the food then there was hair in my pasta so we asked for a manager and i sent my food back as well as my boyfriend because he didn't like his burger. The manager took it back and then he didn't come up to us and say anything about the food we sent back it took him awhile to finally come back to our table and all he asked was if he needed anything else no sorry or nothing?!?! The parking lot is a nice size but a little confusing to get into. Greeted and seated immediately told us to watch our steps as we were shown to our tables. Get to the table. Theres 4 different menus on the table, and the table is stickys not impressed. I'd like to be greeted by a clean table when arriving at a restaurant. My waitress seems new, so be easy on her. She didn't understand what i wanted to drink. Come to find out, she's a minor, and i was requesting a Dos Equis so completely understandable. I ended up getting my requested drink shortly after from a crew member of age. Within 5 minutes of sitting time, the order of cheese bites appetizers have arrived. It's very tasty, not fresh, tho. Seems to be reheated, not fresh fried. I requested limes with my beer didnt recieve till 10 minutes of sitting after asking a second time for limes. Food has arrived after 25 minutes of waiting. The Mushroom Swiss burger was supposed to be with waffle fries. I got regular fries. The chicken tenders were supposed to come with ranch and came with honey mustard. Fries are cold and have an off taste to them like smokey taste. Chicken tenders seem to be reheated, not fresh and super dry. Burger is veryyy wellll done taste like burnt nothing else. When it comes to Applebee's, the location in Canton is not our first choice. Although we live in Canton, my husband and I will drive 15 minutes further to the Applebee's in Westland. The reason isn't the food, rather it is the service and lack of cleanliness. The last few times we've been to this location, the tables and floor have been a mess. In fact, it looks like the carpet needs to be either professionally cleaned or replaced. As far as service, there isn't a sense of urgency. Service is slow and there doesn't seem to be strong management. Which all the competition in Canton, Applebee's needs to step up its game. read more

Went out to eat a late lunch with my 3 year old and another family member. After eating we all started feeling sick to our stomachs. A few hours later we started all aggressively vomiting and needing to be in the rest room. I'm not sure what is up with the food, but I don't think we should all suddenly feel sick from it. Stopped in late night for dessert on Thursday 6/21. They were closing at midnight, it was about 11:30 as we were on the way home from an event. The sign on the door said last call for food and drink 15 minutes before closing. We walked in and it was a mess. A waitress(actually all the workers) gave us a dirty look. She yelled over that last call would be in 10 minutes. Chairs were up on tables, they actually walked us through piles of garbage to seat us at a table. Our waitress came over and rudely says they are closing in 5 minutes (note it's still like 11:35) and we'd better order RIGHT NOW. Makes some comments about the time and wandered away to put in the order. In the meantime, they were trying to rush others in the restaurant out the door, too. We got our desserts and the waitress brought the bill but made a point to be super obvious about grabbing the self serve kiosk and taking the battery out and clunking it back down on our table (because they are closing you know!). So that just delayed things as I waited for her to come back and grab our bill to run my card. We were out the door at 11:55 (probably would have been out sooner if I could have just swiped my own bill). There were still others dining in the restaurant so it's not like we were holding anything up. Probably would have left her about a 50% tip, but that was significantly reduced due to outright rudeness. I get it - you want to go home. But if you actually close at 11:30, post it as such and lock the doors (but then I have the feeling they'd start being rude to people at 11). I feel we were realistic in our timing for what we planned to order. We didn't walk in at 11:55 and try to order steak dinners. Meh. Plenty of other restaurants on Ford Rd to choose from if they don't want my business at Applebee's. read more

We came to this location on a Sunday which is relatively slow for this location. We sat down and ordered the shark bowl as our drink which if you have been to apple bees comes with shark gummies which we did not receive and had to go up to the bar to ask for after we had already waited 30 mins for our drinks to arrive to our table. We had ordered the pretzels with beer cheese and 5 piece wings as our appetizer. We couldn't even eat our appetizers being as we weren't seated with silverware and had to wait 15 mins before our server came back by our section and I had to wave him down to get his attention. The pretzels had no salt on them and were doughy on the inside and the celery that comes on the side of the wings had hair on it as well as the wings being soggy. My boyfriend got a hamburger as his entree and asked for it to be cooked medium rare and it came out burnt and when asked for a refill of water they brought out a dirty pitcher that had trash in it from another table the waiter didn't even notice had to tell him about it when he came back to the table. As we were sitting waiting for our bill I noticed other tables around us were sending their food back for being cold and just overall did not look happy with the service. I will not be going back to this location ever definitely not worth my time or money. If I could rate this place no stars I would. read more

Very plain chain restaurant food. Basic not much flavor. Chicken was moist but not seasoned. Rice was dry almost crunchy. Pico was bland. Sadly I still have $25 left on the gift card I have.
