The burgers have been good, the chicken sandwich has been good. Tonight I ordered the ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and better quality than Logan's that is down the street. The service has been exceptional every stay. I've seen all the waiters, waitresses, and bartenders. None have been disappointing. From now on, this will be the only restaurant I eat at when I stay here.

We usually frequent the Reservoir location on Old Fannin, but we decided to try Brandon today. The dining room is much different but feels cleaner. The service was definitely different here. What made the situation worse was watching other customers, who were seated after me and even those who walked in after I arrived, be greeted and fully serviced while I was completely ignored. As someone who has visited this establishment multiple times, this experience was not only frustrating but unacceptable. No customer should feel invisible, especially in a place they've supported before. To be very clear, I was also the only Black woman present at the time--and that did not go unnoticed. It is 2026. We should be far beyond experiences that make people question whether they are being treated differently. Because of this experience, I will not be returning. I truly hope management takes a serious look at their service standards and how all guests are treated.

It is a rather large restaurant with a large bar and both upstairs and downstairs seating with a super cool vibe. I had the special don't be jelly burger and it was nothing short of amazing. Double patty, pimento cheese , fried pickles, bacon and sweet and spicy jam. All of my favorites in one super loaded burger with all the flavor! Highly recommend you give it a try. I sure hope they make it a permanent burger on the regular menu. The fries are perfectly cooked and seasoned and we dipped them in their homemade ranch which was also excellent. Two people in our group had the classic double stack and loved the addition of the fried jalapeños. Two people had the whiskey bourbon burger and said it was REALLY good as well. My chicken sandwich on Texas toast was also very good. The pickles they put on this sandwich, along with the garlic mayo, really add great flavor, and the toast was buttered and perfectly toasted. They host gaming nights, apparently, which is cool. The service was also really good. I ordered with a couple of friends who had tried this place before and liked it. The canundillas were stuffed just right but ultimately they were just okay. I didn't feel the sauce really added to the meal. The red beans and rice were good, but the salad left much to be desired. The chicken was bland and the dressing was also very mild. I like that the menu had so many items and i would try it one more time before making a full decision on it.
