Every few years I pass through Benton en route to Houston. 2 years ago, I ordered from Applebees and while the food was good, the to-go order was totally messed up. Of course, I didn't discover the error til I got back to my hotel. This visit? Same deal. But I had learned my lesson. I placed my online order. And when I picked up my order, I confirmed what was in the bag. Uh oh. No extra shrimp. No salt & pepper. And no extra utensils. Let me help you! Keep Driving!! In either direction there is cooked food. Look around, across the highway....any direction and then drive away. This place should be shut down! The health department should be and will be notified. The corporate offices will be notified. The waitress, nice enough. The manager who took the raw chicken off the bill, nice enough. The Dr. Pepper, cold and strong enough. The fries, good enough. Go past that and you have raw chicken. This means the inside of the chicken was cool like my Dr. Pepper. Leaving one star based off of the service itself. it takes about 10 minutes just to get some waters. Our waitress was also the bartender and the restaurant was completely empty besides a few people at the bar who are just drinking. my husband and I ordered appetizers that didn't come out for like 25 minutes. our main food took even more time to come out. The bartender/waitress didn't come to our table a single time to ask how the food was or if there was anything that we needed like napkins or refills the basics it was very disappointing considering the restaurant was pretty much empty the manager didn't even ask us if we needed anything she was too busy taking down Christmas decorations right behind me and she saw that I was bothered because we weren't getting tended to people are completely oblivious, working there and have no sense of awareness for the customers except for the ones excessively drinking and vaping at the bar can't express how disappointed I was our bill was almost $65 and the waitress only got tipped 3$. If I could give no stars I would. after 15 min we had to ask for a server with The host or manager, not sure what she was came over when I flagged her down lamarcus finally came over and I couldn't even hear nor understand him. He looked like he just woke up from a nap untucked shirt, white undershirt sticking out of the top and bottom. Freaking delicious. Over the past 3 days I have been in here to eat twice after not being here to eat in a few years. Just as I always remembered. Delicious steak and food. I'm a weirdo, I prefer my steak well-done. Let me tell you, their steaks don't even need any A1 sauce. Absolutely yummy. If you don't like their food, then you're just picky! My order was a classic broccoli chicken Alfredo first of all when I went to pick up my order it wasn't ready, my order was supposed to really 4:15 pm and they had me waiting there until 4:35, tand that's when I received my order. Absolutely horrible, don't bother. The food and service here is the reason why many Applebee's across the country even where is use to live have closed down. Our waitress was even sitting in the booth right in front of us having a conversation with someone she knew for about 5 minutes. Spinach artichokedip was cold, my wife and daughters quesadillas were overcooked and looked worse than what you would get from Taco Bell and my burger was well just a burger nothing to brag about. Ordered to go. Was supposed to be ready at 8:03 didn't receive until 8:40pm. Upon receiving the food I noticed our drinks weren't there. Asked the waitress and they mumbled under their breaths. My son got my Parents a $20 gift card apiece to go here and when they went they ordered they're meal that came to around $18 for both and when they went to check out the guy took both cards worth $40 and took out his tip of $10. I do not recommend using gifts to pay for your meal at this location. read more

Took them till 7:30 to bring out our food after four other groups that got there after us had theirs. The food was wrong nothing right. I walked in and was greeted with a smile by the hostess about 6:30. The restaurant was about 1/2 full with seating at the bar, I went for the taps. They had Fat Tire on draft so things are looking pretty good. The bartender was nice and took my order quick. Beer was ice cold. The oriental shrimp salad was fresh and I liked the dressing, a nice kick. Overall a very good meal at a reasonable price. This place use to be good but it's terrible. Took 30 minutes for appetizers to come out and another 45 for food and when it did finally come out my son's burger was raw along with the bacon on top. My steak was waaaayyy overcooked and my wife's chicken tenders were so greasy she couldn't even finish them. They didn't charge for the raw burger but didn't offer to discount the meal at all. We came in and were seated immediately. We ordered, and it took almost an hour for dinner come out. One coworkers salad was forgotten, another coworkers soup was cold. When the main entrees arrived, my steak was over well done to the point of grey meat on the inside. Beyond well done. I asked for medium rare. At Applebees now..ordered wine, brought in a beer glass..lol..no wines glasses available. Ordered oriental asian salad, was brought a bowel of lettuce and chicken. Ordered car side to go. Waited in my car for 10 min after confirming my arrival before going inside to check on my order. Was not assisted for 5 min. Plenty of visible servers standing in the corner talking to each other. Then when they did assist me they informed me they did not have my order. After asking them to check the car side orders they were able to find it. Had to wait another 10 min. Food was cold. Order was not correct either. We walked here from the hotel next door after a long day of travel. The hostess greeted us immediately and asked where we'd like to sit; she really made us feel welcomed. Our server (Kelly R) came over right away and we asked about the prices for wine, they are not listed on the menu. I understand this is an Appleby's thing, the people in this store don't control that, but it takes extra time for her to go find out the prices, before we can order. We ordered 2 glasses of wine and when mine arrived, the glass had lipstick/lip marks and fingerprints on it. I cleaned it off myself, as Kelly had already made 3 trips to our table to complete our drink order; I was tired and I just wanted to eat, drink a glass of wine, and go back to the hotel. The restaurant was not busy (it was about 8:15 pm) but it took a while to get our order (a chicken bowl and a shrimp bowl). I unrolled my silverware and my knife was dirty. I didn't need a knife, so I set it aside. When my husband's entree (chicken bowl) arrived, the outside of the bowl was a mess, there was guacamole all over it, and some lettuce clinging to the guacamole. Again, we cleaned it off ourselves. Kelly was so very courteous and helpful, I appreciated her good work. It seems pretty evident from the multiple dirty dishes and poor presentation that the kitchen doesn't take a lot of pride in their work product and they're depending on the wait staff/hostesses to make up for their lack of professionalism. Too bad, it's very convenient to the hotel but I won't eat here again and based on the reviews (which I wish I'd read before I walked over there), this is just not that great an Appleby's. There are several restaurants in the immediate vicinity and I'll try one of those next time. read more

I ordered online for Carside to go; If I could give them 0 stars I would. $80 for our order to be completely messed up, our food (the food that wasn't missing) was over cooked. I guess I should have untied the triple knot tied bag to make sure our order was right. Lesson learned, but the lesson is to next time choose Coltons. read more

I went to this place on Monday evening it was 2 of us. we stood at the door for about 10 or 12 minutes and not one person acknowledged us. then came a group of Caucasians maybe 6 or 7 at the most, then this little hippie looking trailer park trash scared looking girl came over and asked them how many. I just looked and said WOW!!!!! we have been standing here for the longest waiting on someone to say anything welcome or something but no that did not happen. the group said that we were here before them so then she proceeds to get 2 menus she did not say one word until she got us to the table and said "there you go" unbelievable!!!!!!!
