So I took a day to write this review. We went to our favorite place to eat Applebee's on Arlington St. We were seated and placed our drink orders. (Sweet tea and. Lemonade) We got our drinks then placed our order for the appitizer and our meals. Waited for a bit and our appitizer arrives and within minutes our meals come. Really......they were not busy but we did not expect both to arrive together. We had to keep asking for refill, which he never got. But the waitress did offer a refill after we ask for bill and boxes. This one place is our birthday and anniversary place. We ask for a manager. Never I say Never saw them. I understand short staffed but they were not busy. I am understanding to the restaurant s are low staffed and trying to make it in this crap world right now. BUT, if they seat you one would think they would do their best. I think once we asked for manager one might assume something was wrong. And yes we still tipped the waitress. Not sure if she was new or just tired but we will need to rethink coming back. One spends over $45 plus tip one would assume better service. read more

Went here last night and I was not impressed.The hostess and waitresses were very friendly. That was the best part of my dinner. My husband ordered the pretzel appetizer that comes with beer cheese and a side of mustard sauce. The pretzels were weird. They seemed deep fried and had sesame seeds on them. Aren't soft pretzels supposed to have salt on them? No salt. The beer cheese tasted ok but was severely burnt on top and instead of making a new one, they mixed it in and served it to us. We each ordered from the pick two menu promotion. I got the steak with grilled onion and shrimp scampi linguine. The steak was a weird texture and was cold. The sauce on the steak was spicy and gross. It tasted like stomach acid. The grilled onion was not grilled, it was browned under a broiler and it made the onion squishy. I ate 2 bites of the steak and just couldn't do it so I left it on the plate. It was over salted as well. The shrimp pasta was good so I ate that but only after I complained that there was no shrimp in my pasta so they brought me 5 shrimp separately on a plate. Also, there was no sauce on the pasta, just oil. Kinda weird. My husband got some kind of mexican chicken with rice and the bleu cheese wedge salad. The wedge salad was delicious! The chicken tasted like straight body odor/ sweat. We were not satisfied and our bill came to $40. I would much rather have spent that $40 anywhere else. read more

Stopped here on a whim . IHOP was on a wait so came here. Service was amazing. Kailyn was attentive, friendly and handled my 4 year old well. Food came out quickly for lunch time and was very good. I had the three cheese penne my daughter had chicken quesadilla with apple sauce and my aunt had the combo platter with wings mozz sticks and soup. All tasty! Arrived at 6:20pm on Sunday evening. Our order was taken in a good time frame, but that's where the good service stopped. Received our food at 7:25pm. We were told out food would be right out around 6:45pm and that a manager was checking on it. We never did see/talk to a manager. Once our food arrived we asked for to go boxes so we could end this experience. The waiter brought out bill, never apologized for the wait. We were dumbfounded that a manager didn't check on us as we watched a couple parties arrive after us and leave before we got our food. I would like to say this was a one off situation as I always give places the benefit of the doubt, everyone has bad days and shouldn't be judged by them. But this has happened at this location a couple times and I have only gone here a few times, hence this review. Hope this helps. read more

This was absolutely the most atrocious experience I've ever had at an eatery. Let's put it this way, we came in a good mood, and left angry. We ordered are drinks first, and don't worry it only took the waiter about 10 minutes. (The restaurant was only half full!) Then we ordered our food and oh my god, we waited at least 45 minutes to be told that one of our table members food could not be completed because they didn't have queso dip as they brought out everyone else's food. We just had one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a while. We sat for a solid 10 minutes before our waitress even came to the table...another 20 minutes before she returned with our drinks-a diet coke and a water-which she then informed me was my fault because I asked for a lime wedge with my water and she had to "dig around for them". It was then another 20 minutes before our salads arrived.....she explained exasperatedly that she had to make them herself because 'they were too busy back there'. We finished our salads and a runner brought us....our salads! And then looked confused when she realized we already had them. She went away saying she'd be back with our dinners. Another 30 minutes later we got our food-my ribs and fries were cold and my coleslaw was hot....waitress stopped back once to bring me some wetnaps...cuz you know I'm messy...and we never saw her again. Thank god you can pay at the table now other wise we may STILL be there waiting and waiting........all in all what should have been an hour tops took two and a half and the food wasn't even mediocre. The few times I've been to this Applebee's in the past..the food was just ok. We had this gift card for a year or more, so we ordered lunch for carry out. The chicken quesadillas were REALLY GOOD! Like the best I've ever had at a chain restaurant. It's an appetizer but I just ate that as an entree. My husband said his burger was good too. ( just a little less fries than he expected) If you like quesadillas...I recommend them. YUM! read more

Went for dinner with friends tonight. Waitress took our order quickly, but had the loudest voice I've ever heard. She leaned over the table to point something out and I actually had to cover my ears because her voice was so loud. Ordered the fish and chips, because Big Mouth said it was fresh and hand-breaded. My food came - the fries were limp, the coleslaw tasted like it was from last week, and the fish was obviously some frozen fish patty straight from the bag. Tried the online ordering for the first time. Went to pick it up...at first glance it looked pretty convenient. They have reserved parking by a door marked Pick Up. Well it went downhill from there...you cant actually USE the door...you have to walk all the way around the building to the main entrance and then walk all the way to the back of the restaurant to get the order. I received my order and went back to my office only to open it up and find its NOT my order! I immediately called and got the girl who gave me my food and she asked if I wanted to come back and exchange it..NO I did not. I asked for a refund and got the Manager, Kelly. Who was not apologetic at all. She just said she would credit by card...no apology, no 'we will send you a voucher for a new lunch'...nothing! Worst service ever. P.S. Normally we enjoy our visit to Applebee's but today was enough to spark my creative writing skills. We did the 2 for 25. Had Mac and cheese an chicken for my meal. Was excellent but took long time for meal to arrive. My wife had a blackened chicken mushroom shrimp thing that had a horrible flavor like a ginger taste. Will not order that again. The coup de gras was the drink I ordered. Was a limeade strawberry drink very good flavor but not worth what I paid. When will we stop paying rediculous prices for drinks? Their was no price on the menu so I'm thinking $1.99 or less. Way wrong on that one. The drink was $3.45 not even close to a value. Water ice flavoring? Common price gouging without advertising the price. Then I got a refill thinking it was free? Nice thought now I paid another $3.45 and was not told by the waitress. The more I thought about it the more irritated I was. If my kids would have been with me the would get 3 refills. I'm not cheep and I tipped the usual 20% but my lord it's more than a meal.
