This is a great company. They finished our basement and did a wonderful job. Professional,…read morefriendly, and their prices are fair. What more could you ask for? The electrician they use (not part of their company) isn't that good. He sends his kids out to do the work, charges way to much, and doesn't follow up so I'd find someone else for that portion but the HVAC guy was awesome. All in all, we are very happy with the work these guys did and highly recommend.

The crew is absolutely incredible! I cannot express this enough. They weren't only respectful to us, but more importantly, they were respectful to each other. As any homeowner knows, it can be difficult having people working in your house. Not with this crew though! They showed up every day with a warm greeting, a friendly smile and a positive attitude. Their work was impeccable! Each one of them was knowledgeable and had their own specific talents. Glenn, the owner of the company was good-natured and easy to talk to. He oversaw the project but was easygoing and respectful to the men on the crew. Steve and John were extremely talented; building the walls, floors and ceilings. They have a talent for hanging sheetrock, mudding and sanding. Everything was flawless. They made sure everything was waterproofed to prevent any future problems. Among the crew is Bill. He used to work as a state inspector. He is knowledgeable in making sure every part of the project was safe and up to code. Brad and John are the painters, they are magicians when it comes to their painting skills. This entire crew showed great attention to detail. They cleaned daily as they went along and left the bathroom spotless at the end of each day during the project. They even swept the kitchen floor after bringing materials through the kitchen. They went above and beyond our expectations. We are excited to have them come back to remodel the kitchen very soon.

Serendipity by definition is the good luck in making unexpected and fortunate discoveries…read more My wife and I settled on the notion that we would need to replace our builder grade PT deck last year from when we built our home originally 10 yrs ago. As such, We met with about 3 well known design and consultative builders in southern New Hampshire. In the good fortune that a good friend, John was having his deck remodeled by Hook and Ladder. We knew as soon as we saw their quality and craftsmanship, attention to detail and incredibly talented team. Hook and Ladder was the only team that shared our excitement, similar vision and know how to execute drawn on many years of experience. Hook and Ladder Contracting service also had one of the most detail and professional proposals I've seen that outlined detailed pictures, timelines, expectations, materials and you can tell a substantial amount of time went into the development and detailed plan of their deck construction. Tom was confident, professional, his team had very new and well maintained tools, they all were highly punctual, clean, easy to converse with and genuinely shared their passion and well communicated everyday. Business Owner: Tom was present everyday, assisted with running out to supply his team on whatever they needed to be successful every day. What was even more impressive , Tom went as far as researching our replacement siding from an outside company (Harvey) to match perfectly our existing siding. There were no stones unturned when the project was through and no 'punch list' or IOUs. Our deck was flawlessly designed and built based on his proposal. They far exceeded our expectations and I'd highly recommend Hook and Ladder to anyone looking for a new deck or exterior work. Our family thanks you for all of tour hard work! Staff was also very clean and cognizant of Social distancing and hygiene.

He communicated with us throughout the project of installing a new Timberteck deck. His crew worked straight on through from start to finish without empty lapses of time. The men are so highly skilled. We continue to be happy with our beautiful deck. Therefore, we asked Ruy to install a Timberteck stair rail at our front doors, which also has withstood the test of time. We'd been concerned that installments like this would compromise the brick, whereby requiring a total rebuild, but a rebuild wasn't necessary. He also advise us on an easy and effective fix to divert water from flowing from the gutter and freezing to ice on those brick steps in winter. Based on the outcome of these projects, and our experience in their progression, we highly recommend this company.

Brutal experience with them back in 2022-2024. They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.

Most notable and dramatic is that they repaired the spa platform crossbeams to something that is definitely aesthetically better looking! They did a lot of cleanup work such as sanding off chalk, and pencil lines previously left behind. They cleaned off the residual cardboard from the sono tube support pillars. But I think one of the most impressive things of all is that they literally raked out all the residual stone, debris and shale that had been left under the spa and deck. My wife was much happier with this result, and I'm grateful to them for following through on these issues. I've posted pictures of the cleanup work that was done by them today.

Granted they were replaced when we pointed it out but, most contractors would notice and rectify without the need for customer concerns and requests. very disorganized and one of the men working on our home flat out lied. the carpenter was excellent and the tradesmen were excellent but as far as the way this business was run, I'd say do just that, run.
