I was totally impressed from the minute they came to our house to talk about the project. The owner, John Gallagher, came to our house with numerous suitcases full of samples. Every other company I called asked us to come to their showroom, we could select what we wanted, and then they would come out to the house to give an estimate. John brought the showroom to our house!!! We were able to make selections, go upstairs to the bathrooms and actually see what it looked like in that bathroom. Then, while we were discussing other options and issues, he sent the selections we made to a team that was able to render what we wanted so we could see it in the dimensions of our bathrooms. This totally blew me away as we could get real-time feedback and see what our bathrooms would look like. This totally sold us on hiring Custom Bath of Nashua. Then, to have the actual renovation done by totally professional craftsmen was above and beyond expectations. Outstanding craftsmanship by each team on the project and very courteous and clean. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I would certainly hire them again and highly recommend them to anyone. It is very clear that John Gallagher and his employees are proud of what they do and aspire to excellence in all they do. The employees were all very professional and knowledgeable. They talked me through all of the issues that could be addressed to make my home more energy efficient and the steps needed to be prepared for the installation. They photographed all areas that were inspected before and after installation. They took care of all logistics and financial coordination of the program and laid it out for me in their co-construct website. They did a great job installing insulation in my basement and attic along with upgraded ducting as required. I paid half of the cost up front and the rest after completion. The whole process was relatively easy. I do wish that the co-construct website would go to a read only mode to access and review documentation, at least for a period of time after the work is complete, so I recommend downloading all materials while you have access. I'm writing this review in response to work I had done several years ago. This was, by far, the…read moreworst experience I've ever had with a contractor. I had a sunroom redone -- new floor, new support posts, ceiling, lighting, etc. During the entire process, Bob was extremely unpleasant, to put it mildly. That would be fine, if the work was done well. It most certainly was not. The floor was a complete disaster. A wide plank floor with gaps up to 1/8" in between planks. A sanding and stain job that looked like it was done by someone who's never installed a floor before. Sanding circles all over the floor and bubbles in the poly virtually everywhere. The ceiling planks weren't installed properly and separated and cracked just days after install. The drywall repair was done horribly, the mud wasn't sanded properly and they painted over everything before it dried. To top it all off, they initially put in the wrong supports under the sunroom, only to replace them with the "proper" ones that they decided to cut too short, causing the entire room to separate from the house by about 1/4". For you own sake, if you're reading this review please stay away from these clowns.

When it was time for us to do a major renovation, we invited them to give us a quote with other contractors. We ultimately chose them, although they were not the lowest quote. We chose to leave our home during construction to give them freedom to do their thing. Not only did Paul work quickly and efficiently, but during the job, he called frequently to keep me updated, and he came up with ideas to make the space more usable and modern. Rather than keep 2 old fashioned pantries, he had an idea to pull off the doors and order cabinet frames and doors and extend the kitchen into the hallway. He pulled out the insides and reengineered them to our custom specs. The result was that for minimal cost (hundreds of dollars) we got much more functionality and efficiency. We ended up adding to the kitchen and dining room job. What did we add? We removed popcorn ceiling, painted hallways and stairwell, painted master bath and bedroom, redid two upstairs bathrooms and more. We came home to a new house in April 2021 just as covid is (hopefully) winding down. What a gift Paul is. I'm happy to show the work that Paul and his crew did. He employs the best subcontractors and partners with them to ensure they are working together well. You can't go wrong with Paul and Barrowclough. Paul is a master carpenter.

Our project included a new roof, siding and all new windows. Tom delivered our detailed quote within a week or so. Our project started mid July 2018 and was completed last week. We were informed by Tom that the foreman, Paul Newman and crew would arrive at 7:00 am on a Monday morning, which did happen. Going forward Paul was in communication with us daily informing us of the next days schedule. All coordinating of product delivery, plumber, electrician, plasterer were under his supervision. There were no delays even with the August extreme heat. The crew of 3 were courteous and worked consistently through out the day. All materials were cleaned up at the end of the day. We requested some additional projects and the crew all worked together and made it happen. This included painting all the new window trim and a few rooms and ceilings. What impressed us the most, beside the quality of work, was that the Barrowclough team took our project and ran with it while consulting with us if needed. Most notable and dramatic is that they repaired the spa platform crossbeams to something that is definitely aesthetically better looking! They did a lot of cleanup work such as sanding off chalk, and pencil lines previously left behind. They cleaned off the residual cardboard from the sono tube support pillars. But I think one of the most impressive things of all is that they literally raked out all the residual stone, debris and shale that had been left under the spa and deck. My wife was much happier with this result, and I'm grateful to them for following through on these issues. I've posted pictures of the cleanup work that was done by them today.

Granted they were replaced when we pointed it out but, most contractors would notice and rectify without the need for customer concerns and requests. very disorganized and one of the men working on our home flat out lied. the carpenter was excellent and the tradesmen were excellent but as far as the way this business was run, I'd say do just that, run.
