We were fortunate enough to have a neighbor who recommended them. Our neighbors were close enough that we were able to follow the work that they did. We had a sun parlor that was 12' X 12' which we spent all our time in and found that we needed more space. They tore it down and built a new 14' X 18' that we love. Any one that is contemplating a major renovation is welcome to contact us and we would love to show the work they did and share our experience of working with them. Ken & Pat (603) 674-3390

They cleaned up at the end of the day and were respectful of our home. Having a father who was an electrician, I am a pretty tough customer since I know what is needed for most construction jobs. The sub-contractors were top notch as well. The plumbers, electricians, painters, excavator, sheetrockers, insulators, and the tile worker did great jobs and were equally as respectful. I cannot say enough good things about St. Laurent Construction. I looked at over 6 different outfits when deciding on the work to be done on my home. My decision was based not only on the quoted cost but the actual feeling from meeting each potential contractor. St. Laurent was very real and honest. You could not ask for a better situation. As long as you are organized and willing to give a little with regards to schedules, the job will be great. One often forgets that other work is being done simultaneously on other jobs. We will use Rob's crew in the future without hesitation!

Any homeowner can tell you that it's very difficult to find a contractor you can trust. When you're…read morejust starting out with your first home in a new town, it's even tougher. We met Dan, owner and operator of Top Notch Remodeling, through a friend. We wanted new siding but were scared - we'd heard tales of $10K+ price tags and just didn't know where to turn. Luckily Dan came to our rescue. He's amiable, realistic, efficient - I'm shocked to say that we found an honest contractor that does great work. Dan made himself available to us after work and on weekends. He walked us around our house, explaining in great detail the work he planned on doing. He gave us his opinion of what additional improvements we should make to the house (a new door, windows, and roof), but was honest and told us which things could wait, and which we should do sooner rather than later. We need replacement windows, and rather than trying to pressure us into hiring him to install them, he told us that if we decided to do them ourselves to save money, he'd be willing to give us any installation advice we needed at any time. Dan gave us a great quote on siding, and we couldn't pass it up. He even recommended that we strip the old siding off ourselves, since it would save us money. He takes credit cards, too, which made it even easier for us. The work itself was done quickly and efficiently, given the cold and rainy days we had while he was working. We're very happy with the work he did and would recommend him to anyone. In fact, we're planning on hiring him again to install new gutters on the house in the spring. If you work done to your house and you don't know where to turn, give Dan a call. We're glad we did.

I've now lived with my wine cellar for two years. This project came about like so many renovations…read moreat home where I start out deciding that we will watch the budget and really pay attention to the builder. Reminds me of the stone wall built this past year that led to a custom pizza oven. So as things go the renovation to our lower family room was to simply be a new ceiling which led to a complete remodeling with mini kitchen, home entertainment area, new floor etc. etc. Came out really nice and is very durable as it has withstood so many parties. The contractor was well under way when I said what if he could put in some wine racks in the corner? I have collected some wines through the years and always was concerned about cellaring and proper temperatures as some vintage wines spoiled with improper keeping. So I did some research and really found out that temperature and humidity are key and to keep these two fundamentals as constant as possible. I still struggle with humidity. The project gets researched and I learn that if I am going to do this right the already 400 bottles i had should be stored more appropriately or start drinking faster. I contact Vintage Makers in NH for some consultation. Most of this done by phone and email and I am off to the races. Contractor is now pushing as his envelope is closing and an insulated room (mini house) is to be built within our home and family room. We pick out tile to customize the floor, learn that it will be air conditioned to 55 degrees and 1600 bottles will find a new home or should I say if i buy that many. Now having gone this far I should tell you I am far from an expert. I like wine; my tastes vary every so often; and I enjoy what I enjoy. I can't remember the names of French and Italians and think it's hilarious when I'm around those who are in the "know." Christ I say if its good it's good and no I can't taste the plumbs and the berry But I do know good wine and I'm really liking pinot noir right now. Back to the wine cellar and this once simple solution to storage has a tasting table, wine refrigerator, storage for 1600 bottles (now holding 1200), and an area that attracts family and friends like the kitchen at Christmas. It is simple to operate and to the point I would call maintenance free. Do I think it's lavish ....yes. Do not I think it increases the value of our home.....no! But I do believe that when the time comes to sell there will be that one difference between our home and the next person's. www.vinagemakers.com.
