As before, I was impressed with the course layout and the condition of the greens, etc. even considering the recent dry weather. I find the course challenging for me but not so overwhelming that it ceases to be fun. My impression is that it provides enough challenges to the better golfers to keep them interested as well. They offer a beautiful 9-hole course with some forgiving wide fairways and some challenging uphill par 3s. They went under new ownership in 2020 and the owner has made some tremendous progress with improving the greens and clearing out some overgrown trees that were causing damage to the tall grass areas. I have family who plays here regularly and they offer a Turkey shoot, which is a fun scramble, just prior to closing up for the winter months. It's a great time had by all and for those who frequent the course and clubhouse, they are one big family of golfers. Everyone is part of the family when you choose to swing your clubs at Summit Springs Golf Course.

Just finished a week at Poland Spring Resort for an on site conference and I must say that I am a…read morehappy camper. The place, while may be "dated" for some, had a charm all it's own. That was provided by the service, staff attitudes, and generally welcoming and relaxing environment. Downsides for some might be the limited breakfast buffet (which was more than enough for me but some folks mentioned it within earshot). Also, no maid service due to the COVID pandemic, although a friend said that in the past they had to bring their own linens (truly). All of a traveler's needs were available through the front desk. Great bar service by the way and PS was located close to everything I needed to see and do. I plan to make this place a stop on an upcoming fall colors trip down the eastern seaboard for a night along the way.
