They went under new ownership in 2020 and the owner has made some tremendous progress with improving the greens and clearing out some overgrown trees that were causing damage to the tall grass areas. I have family who plays here regularly and they offer a Turkey shoot, which is a fun scramble, just prior to closing up for the winter months. It's a great time had by all and for those who frequent the course and clubhouse, they are one big family of golfers. At 6:45 there was still enough light to wrap up the last hole but unfortunately we had only had a chance to play 13 holes so far due to extremely slow play. That is on pace for a 6 1/2 hour round. It had been just over three hours at the turn and when we commented on the slow play we were told the back nine would pick up due to fewer groups playing all 18 that day. Didn't happen. The issue, as we could tell, were the two groups of 8 players, each with four carts, playing a few holes in front of us. We passed them as we drove off the course int the last of the remaining daylight. There were two rangers in carts at the clubhouse when we started but we never saw one on the course. Great course conditions. Great layout. Terrible customer experience left me feeling ripped off.

The owner is very nice and friendly. He offers hitting advice and is pleasant to talk to. The tote challenge is fun and we always walk away with a couple tokens. My only complaint is the putting green. It is astro-turf style grass and it doesn't have true roll. Still works well for short putts. I recommend giving it a try. He was right in that I should not have hot off the grass, but I was hitting a driver off a tee and not obviously taking a divot. The issue was his attitude. He was rude, condescending and told me to leave if I didn't like it. Very bad experience and he could have shown more patience and try not to show off what a BIG man he was when he started yelling at me. I had been going on average 1 1/2 times a week. I won't be going back.

As before, I was impressed with the course layout and the condition of the greens, etc. even considering the recent dry weather.
