Went to try and help my dying cat form an infection and get fishmox "antibiotic" to help and they wouldn't sell me any cause I had my mothers credit card who is at work at can't afford to leave work for the inconvenience so if your in an emergency make sure you have only cash or your out of luck here at apple valley feed bin! read more

I can honestly say that I was recommended to Apple Valley Feed Bin by the pet supply store on Hesperia road and after calling them, didn't even go inside the store. I thought the lady on the phone was just being rude to me when I asked for help, but then I read the reviews and realized that they're rude to most of their customers, so now I will not be going to this store or spending any money here...if they're that rude on the phone I'm definitely not interested in walking inside the store, spending my hard earned money just to be treated like shit by their employees. read more

are family has been getting all are feed from bird seed to top quality dog food here since 1986! The owner Kathy has been a great resource anytime we had a question about one of are babies. Being a small family owned business in are local community means the money we spend in her store stays in are Town. I love running in and out without waiting in long lines or traffic. even on her busiest day's the staff will load up my feed for me and I'm on my way! That's worth it anytime for my family's pet needs. I'm grateful for Kathy and her hard working Team. Thanks for the great years of service. My son's hand rai sed cockatiel was bred and reared by her daughter. He'd visit his bird everyday until he was old enough to come home. my son was eight, the bird is still thriving and a great talker, that was seventeen years ago! Me and my family have been coming here for a a few years and we love shopping here but sadly every time we approach the store we never get a welcome from the employees or the owner whenever we try to have a conversation or even say hello, they are very rude and not welcoming. I would just suggest if you would like to shop there please go in with the thought in mind that they may be a little prejudiced and act different based of how you look and how you present yourself. read more

This is horrible and sad that a 5 star review would become a 1 star review. I have been a customer of Apple Valley Feed Bin since I moved to Hesperia in 2007. I have loved the quality of hay and the tack they have in hand. Now to see why I would change a five star review... I went to Apple Valley Feed Bin (my husband asked to go to another feed store). I thought the quality would be worth the drive and the price. We ordered 4 bales of alfalfa and 4 bales of Bermuda. I went to dinner after getting hay and when I got home I noticed I was missing a bale. They man who loaded my hay brought scratch and not rabbit food. We corrected him and thought he was doing right. It was cold and windy so I didn't watch him load. I normally do. We got home and as I was unloading I noticed I was missing a bale of hay. I only had 7 bales. I had my husband call right away and they said they would review the camera and call back. Guess what... it's been three hours and we haven't had a call back. They assumed we were lying or trying to get a free bale. I'm so overwhelmed with the fact that they didn't even call back. Please avoid their store unless you want to watch their every move. read more

The owner is very helpful and kind. The one clerk I always seem to have to deal with is rude and dismissive. Unfortunately I think she's related and no one wants to put her in her place. She also refuses to wear a mask or use hand sanitizer which puts all the clients at risk including the owner who is an older lady. I recently got a baby ball python and being new to the snake world and frozen/thawed feeders, I only knew of this place in my area to get the frozen mice. The first couple times I went in to get a mouse it was fine, but after that I started noticing the quality of the mice was disgusting. There were 3 incidences where I thawed out a mouse and it smelled like rot as if they had been thawed out and refrozen. (very bad for your snake) One of the mice they sold me had a gash on its neck. I went in another time to ask about baby rats and they weren't very helpful on what they have or what was coming in. They showed me the few frozen rats that they did have and they were disgusting, I would never feed these to my python. Wouldn't recommend a frozen feeder from here unless you thoroughly check it out before taking it. read more

This is the best feed store in the area! The people are nice and they always have what you need, for chickens anyway! I got my chickens here and I always get my chickens feed here. Sometimes they have cows in the back (I haven't checked in a while) and if you ask nicely they will let you go out and pet them!!! I have been to the other feed stores in the area and every time always walk out saying I will never go anywhere else but Apple Valley Feed Bin. I only came to this place because my daughter had won a coupon for a free goldfish. When we arrived I learned that the goldfish were only 15 cents, so we bought a few extras. Within three days, they all died. I am extremely upset with this company for selling me sick fish. We weren't the only ones who had this experience, as many of my daughters classmates also had the same coupon. My daughter is absolutely heartbroken that she lost all her new fish within a couple of days. If they cannot provide healthy fish, they shouldn't be offering coupons for free fish. I will NEVER, EVER come here again. From now on, I'll shop at a more reputable place. And now, thanks to this experience, I have to go buy my daughter more fish to mend her broken heart. :( read more

I have been a customer here for over 6 years. I spend at least $600 a month on feed, fly spray, tack, etc. I got hay from them 2 weeks ago. When I opened up a bale it was moldy half way through. I called and told them I couldn't bring it back till the following weekend, but I wanted them to know. When I went the following weekend, you would have thought I was trying to scam them out of 30 bales! I'm in there every week and I'm going to lie about one bale of hay? So disappointed with the way they would treat a loyal customer. There are plenty of other places to get feed in the high desert, I just don't recommend any that end with "feed bin". read more
