I went in there because my screen protector, which I purchased yesterday, cracked without me even dropping it. They refused to replace it and told me I had to have a new one shipped to me, which I did not have time for as I am studying to be a doctor. They also told me I could buy a new one. When I said I could not afford this, the manager Tom called me poor. I would have called the cops but I will not give energy to such ignorance. I left. I'm an Android guy but It would just be rude to penalize Apple for the hypnotic effect of their blindly obedient brand ethos. I've been in this store numerous times smirking at the mob of highly caffeinated zealots who have become unglued over a problem with their sainted, malfunctioning devices. The atmosphere is sci-fi wonderland but the scene is decidedly more mercenary economics, all frenetic energy and suffocating anxiety. Make an appointment, stand in line and hope one of their man-bun techno-geeks can talk you down off the ledge. Money appears to be no object as these acolytes raise virtually no objections to the routinely big ticket solutions to their carelessness and abuse. By comparison I have a cheapie Motorola smartphone so if it craps out, scoring a cheapie replacement won't trigger a coronary. From the looks of things inside Appleland, $1,900 replacements for abused hardware only serves to soothe their jangled nerves and must be their special penance for loving a brand that doesn't love them back. Tried to exchange Apple AirPods that were defective and were recalled. Apple associate stated they could not get the serial number from the headphones without the case. Therefore they could not test the AirPods. My case wouldn't turn on. They said I had to purchase a new case for $90 to get the serial number. How ridiculous is it that Apple can allegedly only get a serial number from their headphones by using the case? And try and charge you for a new case so you can exchange AirPods that were RECALLED. Would not return to the store because I won't purchase AirPods to run into this issue in the future. read more

Made an appointment for a battery replacement on my laptop. When I showed up at the appointment I was told that I would need to leave my laptop with them for 3-5 business days for the battery replacement. Why don't they hire an extra person to perform routine hardware maintenance. This store must prioritize selling as many new devices as possible and care very little about long-term customer satisfaction. To make matters worse, I was told that my MacBook Air would be "obsolete" next year and they would refuse to provide any service of any kind. In other words, I was told that their devices are designed to only have value for four years, and after that they should be considered worthless. I do not live close to the store and it would have been great to know that I could not get the battery replaced on the same day, especially since I made an actual appointment and it took me less than 30 minutes to replace the battery myself (cost less than half of their quote of $129). read more

My first visit ever at an Apple store and a good one. My older iPhone crashed and my service provider suggested coming here to see if they could recover it. After setting up an appointment I browsed in the mall and returned at my specified time. There was still a short wait but eventually a genius( their term I believe) saw me. Jerry was very personable and took my phone to the backroom. He came out a few minutes later and it was working. I was thrilled and asked what I owed, nada! No charge! Now had I been more astute I would have purchased a new phone and had the old one transferred, but I left the store thinking I could get a bit more use out of it. I was wrong, it later crashed again, and again. I did purchase a newer phone at my provider but had no choice of color, not that it really mattered. As I said, I really should have just taken care of everything in the Apple store. All of the employees there seemed friendly and helpful. There were classes going on, and many people getting tech support. The walls are filled with accessories, and I'm sure there would have been more choices had I purchased a new phone here. Had several phone issues which prevented me from getting full use of my phone. Came very close to doing a full reset after reading various tips on several sites. Luckily ended up going to Apple & had my situation resolved very quickly by the wonderful Ryan & Tadijah (and the first staff member whose name I didn't get). In October I went with my son to buy the iPhone 16 phone. The sales representative explained everything about the phone and stated that his only bill would be the tax of $43.65. He was informed that he could trade in the phone and get a credit or a gift card for $315.00. My son wanted the gift card instead. On October 23, 2024, my son went to the store to trade in his phone. The representative stated that he was late trading in the phone. How could he be late when the phone came on October 22, 2024. Instead they gave him a gift card for $315.00. He was informed that the balance of the phone would be put on his T-Mobile account. Today, November 15, he found a charge of $362.53 withdrawal from his checking account. Now everyone at the Apple website is having a memory loss about this transaction. Now they are making excuses for the people at this establishment. I had a great experience. Chris was my first agent in-store, followed by Mark in the same evening. Both were confident (which I needed to assuage my fears of an unable-to-rescue-past-data.) but they followed through. They replaced my iPhone, recovered all data and Mark was able to figure out what my remote tech guy couldn't figure out related to my email. To boot, they were both great with people. My daughter came here for a new Apple Watch, she came out disappointed because nobody helped her. She just went to try the watches herself instead then walked out. I've been in this location many times incl buying new stuff. They shouldn't choose who they talk to even though they're younger. I was riding my electric scooter and I fell down. My keys cracked my iPhone 12 Pro's screen badly. The top left to the middle was cracked. Luckily, I had apple care + and I went to the Apple Store with a same day appointment. I went in and they greeted me with a smile. Within minutes, they took my phone in. SE3 arrived on 11/30 with many problems. For inst., it froze 4 times within the 1st week of use. 4 TIMES, 4 TIMES! (My Samsung never froze. Not to mention the iPhone started freezing on its first days.) 12/7 I went to this store and for an exchange― a SE3 in exchange of a SE3 of same model and color. Wasn't asking for anything else. I brought the receipt, original package, and the still new SE3, with zero scratches, in a phone wallet case protected. The exchange should be simple: I bought a SE, but Apple sent me a faulty one. Hence I exchange my current new phone for a same model new phone. The SE is within the exchange window. Not to mention Apple is at fault. No, it wasn't simply. The sales staff told me I have to give them my iPhone SE AND GIVE UP MY $50 GIFT CARD/PAY $50 OUT-OF-POCKET to exchange a new iPhone SE, because SE is not at discount anymore. "My new SE + $50 gift card/pay $50 ---exchange--- ONLY new SE" WHAT?!! I am just asking a Phone-to-Phone exchange, why do I have to lose my gift card/pay more? I'm not asking an upgrade or different model. Apple sold me a new but problematic SE 2022 with a $50 gift card promo. Now I have to pay $50/give up my gift card, when Apple was obliged to give me a functional SE in the first place? I paid for a new problem-free SE, and Apple did not give me what I paid for. Apple sent me a phone that freezes. Apple is at fault. Apple needs to amend and take its responsibility. I did nothing wrong. And now I have to pay $50/give up my $50 gift card to get what I deserved in the first place? Apple is at fault, why am I punished? Why do I need to pay extra to get what I originally paid for? I was humiliated. Since exchange is going nowhere, I asked for the SE to be fixed. The manager said they will exchange mine with a replacement phone. My 8-DAYS OLD brand new phone in exchange of a replacement phone that may have used parts but passed QC. WHAT??? You know what was tech Rich's first response, after I explained the phone problems? "CAN YOU TELL ME WHY YOU CHOSE SE OVER IPHONE 12?" Seriously? If you think SE is garbage, why is your company still selling it? I was humiliated again. I came here because Apple didn't sell me a problem-free new phone. Your company got my money, but failed to deliver and refused to fulfill its obligation after confronted. Your company even asked for more money as an exchange to fulfill our initial transaction. Instead of focusing on fixing my current phone, you shame your customer for not buying a higher-end iPhone at your earliest convenience. My phone fell into a snowbank and shattered when it his ice. I showed up with my phone in a container of rice it was completely destroyed and non functioning. The specialist "Carly", blond hair light eyes around 5"0 tall, has the most nasty attitude, by far the most disrespectful person I ever met in my life. If you have a Asian face she'll have a nasty attitude towards you. She is racist like she is proud of it. In all fairness, even with an appointment, they attended to me within a half hour of the destination time. That should be a win right there. My staffer was very friendly and seemed to understand what the problem was. I came for a battery replacement. For $29, it was better than watching my phone drain from 100% to 50% within 4 minutes which is what we'd noticed. The specialist believed my battery indicator was bad and the battery was actually good. He reset the software and felt it would be better to keep the phone as is. So far, it still drains quickly, but not as quick as before. I don't know if my battery is bad, but for an iphone 6S, the batteries weren't very good to begin with. I should probably upgrade to a new phone. The total time was over an hour of my life to find out I didn't need a battery. Oh well. read more

I made an appointment due to a problem with the battery on my cell only lasting until approximately 2 pm every day and that's with me barely using the phone. I was told to reset it to factory settings. Sorry. Nope. The phone was purchased on Black Friday. It should not be this bad. I was told I would get a call in a week to see how it's working. The call never came. I have a warranty but they were too cheap to replace the phone. They've been billing me $.99 for over a year now. I keep calling and telling them to stop. They won't stop and they don't reimburse me. Then I am paying $9.99 a mont for music. I stopped paying it and they wiped clean my library. You can get all the apple products your heart desires here (plus a variety of accessories), but BOY do they make it hard. I came to inquire about air pods for my iPhone 7 (should have just googled in the first place) and I waited 30 minutes before I left. Worse, I'm pretty sure I saw random staff who were just walking around the store looking for something to do. I would have approached them had I not been told to wait for an available representative to come to me first. It's a mess: avoid if you can. I've had much better experiences with the freehold Apple Store and it's worth the drive if you need some personalized attention/systems support. They're equally as crowded, but definitely have a better system in place to manage a large volume of visitors. read more

Zero Stars. Frustrating Experience, Worst Customer Service, Incompetent and Mis-Informed Staff. I've been having significant issues regarding battery life with my IPhone 5, specifically it draining fast and shutting off with over 25%. I was quite happy to hear that I wasn't alone, and on August 22nd Apple announced a replacement program for iPhone 5 models affected. I set up a Genius Bar appointment for 9:50 am at Quaker Bridge Mall the next day. However my joy, ultimately led to absolute frustration! I got there exactly at 9:50am and waited 10 min before I had a chance to talk to someone. Once I did, I explained my issue with the battery, they did diagnostics and confirmed the issue. They informed me that it would cost 79 dollars and I told them that Apple had just released a replacement program but told me I was misinformed. I had to show the person the site that specified the program on Apple site before the person spent 10 more min on figuring out how to apply a credit on their POS system! They then finally took my phone for service and told me to come back 45 min later. When I came back an hour later, I waited by the Genuis Bar for someone to free up so I can pick up my repaired iPhone. I waited 10 min before flagging someone down as I wasn't getting service. The person told me to meet someone else, who then told me to go back to the bar and wait for someone to come. 10 min later I flagged someone down as I still didn't get service, and they told me to go to another bench further down!! I was really frustrated at this point!!! Finally someone comes, and 10 min later another person comes over with my phone and tells me the REPAIR WAS NOT DONE because they detected some damage that invalidates the program somehow. I was visibly frustrated and asked if they could just give me the battery so I can do it myself and they said no in a rude and curt way. I wasted over three hours of my day hoping that my iPhone issue would be solved but that did not turn out to be the case at the Apple Store @ Quaker Bridge Mall. I have made three trips to the Genius Bar in the past week for the same problem. The first time, the technician was helpful, but the fix he recommended left my phone out of commission for about 6 hours and didn't fix the battery issue. The second technician was smarmy and condescending, and assured me that re-setting my phone as a new phone would solve the battery problem. Another six hours of reloading all of my apps, re-logging in to all my accounts, etc. Still didn't solve it. Third time was the most frustrating: Made an appointment online for 7 pm Saturday. Yes, there was snow Saturday, but many other stores were open. Regardless, if they had decided to close, they at least owed people who had appointments the courtesy of an e-mail. Apple made its reputation on a quality product and strong customer service. Right now, a phone with a persistent battery issue is undermining the first. The poor attitude and service at this store is really undermining the second. Update 1/8: Upgrading my review from 1 star to 3. When I returned to the store after my cancelled appointment, the team could not have been more helpful. First, it turned out that they had tried to reach me 2 hours before my appointment was scheduled, but that the primary e-mail on my account was my wife's. She had not been checking her e-mail. John was extremely friendly and helpful in troubleshooting my battery issue, and gave me an estimate of 2 hours to replace the battery. He also corrected the default e-mail address on my icloud account. I returned 2 1/2 hours later and was surprised to find that the battery in the phone was at below 20%. The staff explained that they ship new batteries at under 30%. When I pointed out that this was unexpected and did not allow me to figure out whether my problem had been solved, the manager waived the fee for the battery replacement. Overall, the staff did a good job recovering from their previous self-induced errors. It would be nice if they did not induce the errors to begin with, but they did well at acknowledging and correcting their problems. read more

Review Nov 2020 Ok folks, it's been 3 years and I thought clearly now time has passed and all should be good by now. So I ordered a MacBook Air for pickup. All was good until I arrived at the store for my appointed time. And now I'm told by one person, you need to go check in over there. Ok. There is a line. I wait for a few minutes then confirm with another person if this is where I'm supposed to be for a pickup with an appointed time and he says yes. I wait for 20 minutes (meanwhile my pickup time is passed as it's only a 15 minute window). Anyway, I wait and when my turn comes, the lady checking people in decides to walk back into the store and just hang out there by the window. What? Wait lady don't you see me standing here? Am I invisible? She completely ignores me as though there is no one there. 10 minutes later another person comes by and looks at my QR code and says why are you waiting here on this line. I explain. And he says "Sorry, yeah, COVID procedures, we are still getting used to them." Now it's Nov 21 and you are still getting used to COVID procedures? The store continues to excel in failure! Go there if you enjoy jokes on yourself. Review from 3 years ago: I don't know why this Apple Store continues to have the worst tech support people at the "Genius Bar" and not a good manager. It's the worst experience I continue to get. Clearly identified problems are returned as "no trouble found" yet when you go to another Apple Store they actually take the time to confirm the issue and can replicate it without any problems. Bottom line. Don't waste your time here. Apple should just close this store as for years they have been unable to hire good people to work here. read more

I love this store. I have never had bad service in this store. The techs always go out of their way to help my husband and I. I saw the low reviews and felt terrible for this store. It's an extremely busy store but when it is your turn, you have their full attention until it's fixed. Thanks guys! read more
