I have been a long time customer of Apple nails for about a year now. I go every 2 weeks and get the same service. It's usually amazing and I'm pleased with my nails. The last 2 times however, have been terrible. Last time, my pedicure water was cold. I asked them to fix it and they warmed it up to my liking, but it was ice cold again 2 minutes later. They also did a hurried job on the polish and it was smudged. I decided to give them a second chance today and was disappointed once again. I had the same pedicure issue and when my finger nails were being done, they cut me with the cuticle cutter and I started bleeding. They also got the top coat all over my fingers and just left it since I didn't notice. I won't be coming back. read more

Being new to Lexington I tried alot of places. Apple Nails is by far the best I now only go there. The SNS nail is incredible! Make an appointment or expect to wait a long time or be turned away. read more

So, i tried this nail salon for the first time today. I was so surprised and excited by the amount of color choices. The girl (apologies cannot remember her name) doing my pedicure was so lovely and sweet. Although she got up and down to do other things a lot (not sure what was going on). They offered me some wine which was a nice touch for customers. Now the disappointing part; the gentleman doing my manicure seemed like he was in a rush! He did not appear to like feedback on how he shaped my nails (i had to keep repeating myself), wasn't friendly (made it uncomfortable) and then reached over the front of me and turned off my chair (without asking if I'd be ok with that! Very disrespectful). It came time to pay...they would not let me put a gratuity on my credit card. Asked me if i had Venmo to pay for the gratuity fir the 2 employees (so ridiculous i couldn't believe it). Or, told me to take $ out of the money machine right in the salon. At this point, i knew i wouldn't return but felt bad not giving a gratuity. So, i paid to take $ out of the machine and then the cashier had no small bills so i could give the employees a gratuity. Needless to say, it was not a positive experience. I sadly won't be returning as a lot of the employees seemed very kind. :-( read more

Would give no stars if that was an option. Definitely the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. Nails were cut slanted! Also, the sides of my nails weren't fully painted. Overpriced for the service they provide. Would not recommend! read more

I was tired of the rudeness and unsanitary conditions of the salons in Hamburg . I needed a new salon so I googled this one . I was impressed with all the great reviews . I made an appointment and it's the first time I have been happy with my nails in years . My nails were done perfectly and everything was clean and sanitized . As long as this salon is in Lexington I will never go anywhere else . They know what they are doing , especially with S&S nails ! Thank You ! read more

The color was not what I asked for. I asked for a really pale pink..almost nude. The display showed pale pink/nude. When the color was applied, it was bright pink. She seemed really rushed, and the store was busy, so I didn't say anything. It wasn't that huge of a deal. After all was done, my cuticles had not even been touched. Cuticle treatment was the main reason I wanted a manicure. I would have gladly paid extra for the treatment, but assumed it was included because every time I've ever had my nails done, it's included. I'm going to have to go somewhere else tomorrow to get what I originally wanted, so basically just wasted my money. read more

Great place for SNS. I swear my nails lasted 4 weeks and I am a nurse with constant hand washing. Thanks Bill. You and your staff are very professional and go above and beyond to accommodate your customers read more

This is by far the best nail place in Lexington. I am extraordinarily picky about my nails and I for years couldn't find a place that could consistently get my nails right & Apple Nails has done this every time with sns. No other nail place has as many sns colors that Apple nails has, I used to get gel or acrylic & my nails were constantly breaking if I didn't want fake nails anymore, now that Apple nails has introduced me to sns I will never go back to anything else my nails are so strong and long. The people that run it are amazing and do what the customer wants and not what they think they should have. They always put customers first read more

I love Apple nails- I get SNS nails they always still look great 3 weeks later. After tons of daily life activities and washing hands a ton they still look beautiful!! read more

This is the worst nail salon EVER!!!! Bill is absolutely the most unprofessional owner ever! I scheduled an appointment with him and he scheduled over me with someone else. He then proceeded to blame the whole situation on me in front of the whole store loud enough to make a scene. When I told him that that was my appointment time he was trying to force other customers to not get their nails done when this was his mistake all along. I also would NEVER return to this place because their SNS ruins your nails completely and chips off in less than a week. The only reason they have a "fix nail " guarantee is because they absolutely suck at their job and know that it will chip no matter what. Truly any other salon in town would be better than this hell hole.... If I could choose zero stars I would. -not just a bitter customer read more

I have been coming to Apple Nail for several years. Recently Bill has lost several great employees. I was in for the deluxe Pedicure and was placed with one of his new girls. Normally this place is top notch for pedi's. I was in and out within 30 mins after paying 50. Bucks for the deluxe pedi with extra massage time. I actually complained to Bill that it was one of the worst pedi's I have had before I paid and his statement was this is her first day. I'm not sure why that would make my pedicure so horrible except for the fact that he was training her but I feel if I was going to be used to train someone I should have gotten a rate to reflect that. Bill also said "next time I put you with someone good" well being a loyal customer for so long one would like to think he'd always put with someone good! Shouldn't all of the employees be able to offer good pedicure. I won't be going back. I will wait until he hires "good" people. Maybe then try again. I refuse to pay 50 dollars which is almost 20 bucks more than the normal pedi for someone to take less time doing it then someone paying 30$ and there for an hour! I posted on his facebook page but he deleted my comment. So perhaps here he will deal with the situation instead of deleting it. Bill sure hope you get better help very soon! read more

don't bother making an appointment, you'll wait for 45 minutes anyways. they don't acknowledge you unless you look like you have money. i told the lady my acrylics were too thin and she assured me they were ok - 2 nails broke within 24 hours. another nail broke the next day. it doesn't matter if they will fix it for free because they shouldn't need to be fixed the next day (plus that was another 2 hour nail salon trip) absolutely ridiculous. blatantly talked crap about customers with other employees read more

so 4 out of 5 times i have LOVED the services. doing sns and/or gel, had a different person each time and 4 out of 5 was great ... fell in love with sns, done right it is sublime, thin, tough, sexy ... uuuuntil this last time - had a sweet mama lady do the sns, and she packed it on there like a seven-layer wedding cake. did not shape, left it lumpy, barely filed it down, did not touch my cuticles, which might have been a good thing after speaking to a friend whose cuticles were mangled by her during a previous visit, after also having the 7 layer cake experience. ugh .. it's been 10 days, i had to travel out of town and am counting down the hours until i can jackhammer this stuff off my nails. the only thing keeping them on is the color. love love love this place but gotta say if i get the same lady i will have to fake an emergency exit and get the heck outta town. i hate to be a whiner, i'm generally an easy customer and understand we all have our off days ... and i like to be loyal to a good local business but um ... it's a gamble depending on who you get. 4/5 are good odds, but for those of you who get the 1/5 you won't like it. read more
