We had the best weekend in Augusta, which was largely in part to the Applegate Inn!

I can't recommend her enough. When I stayed recently, she (again) made a nice breakfast for me, vegetarian and gluten-free, and she always makes sure we have everything we need. When I mistakenly left my electronic toothbrush in the bathroom, she mailed it to me the next day. Best reviews! I will always go back.

Our breakfast was a gourmet quality egg, vegetable and cheese casserole served on individual Au Gratin plates. Kathy also served baked plums with a dollop of yogurt drizzled with honey, which was perfect and not too sweet. The drive to get to the property was one of the most beautiful drives I've ever seen. Tucked away was the quaint little town of Augusta where I was greeted by Kathy who showed me around the beautiful property and taught me how to use the hot tub and fireplaces-indoor and outdoor. After a fabulous meal at Root Food + Wine we walked through the beautiful little town that was already asleep. The bed was so comfortable and the Bed and Breakfast was so quiet I overslept and scurried to make it to breakfast. After breakfast, I was scheduled for a massage from an amazing therapist named Celeena. I was still in frantic work mode, but her calm and knowledgeable spirit calmed me immediately. Celeena encouraged me to slip into the hot tub before my massage and it was heaven. I've indulged in massage therapy for over 40 years but Celeena was different. She asked pointed questions designed to learn more about what was going on in my body. During the deep tissue work Celeena answered my questions but overall was quiet as she was very mindful of my need to unwind. Celeena ranks as one of the best massages I have ever received. She did a deep tissue massage but very slowly so I would not be sore. It was so relaxing and she communicated, why she was doing what she was doing with her body work in between long periods of silence. I learned so much about what was going on in my own body from Celeena. I will definitely come back to The Lindenhof to be cared for and spoiled over and over again. I cannot say enough about my experience and how wonderful it was. Thank you to Kathy and Celeena for such a relaxing and rejuvenating stay.

The only downside was that the shower was handheld due to the low ceiling in the bathroom. The queen-sized bed was super comfortable- almost missed breakfast since we slept so hard after a long day of winery-hopping. Breakfast is served at 9:30 in the dining room around a large dining room table. We were served a frittata with fresh peppers and tomatoes, strips of bacon, fruit cup, crumpets, and muffins. There is fresh coffee, a large selection of tea, and orange juice served with breakfast. Coffee, tea, and water are all available throughout your stay in the communal area. There is a spacious deck overlooking the wide open garden. The humming birds were always flying around, so great bird watching. Separate seating areas allow for privacy if you dot want to interact with the other guests. There was also a fire pit in the garden area, but we did not opt to use during our stay. The hot tub was not functioning during our stay, but they do plan to replace soon.

The room was gorgeous, the jacuzzi tub hit the spot and breakfast was yummy. Jacqui even recommended a spa in town for massages. Such a great place.
