Got an apple phone needing a simple battery replacement, called, made sure they would have the needed battery for the "appointment" with the cough genius bar and a week later arrived early. Guy that greeted me was an ass hat. Smug salesman in short blonde hair who was rude. The tech person, Max was nice, and it wasn't his fault no battery. But I will not return to this store. Blonde jerk should get into used car sales where he belongs. Going elsewhere. read more

I visited on a Saturday in mid-October 2024 (late afternoon) and it was busy when I arrived but I was helped within 5 minutes. This Apple Store is very clean and organized. Customer service was friendly and attentive. MY APPLE STORE EXPERIENCE -- I visited Apple to inquire about upgrading my iPhone 11 to a newer phone. The male employee who assisted me was friendly but I did have to ask him a lot of questions. He also didn't know a few things which is fine because he asked a manager to answer my questions. Also, Apple, at that time, had very few deals on trading in old phones to get a new phone, so I left sad (haha). Granted, my iPhone 11, had a badly cracked front screen (LOL). Also, trading-in an older iPhone model will only get you $20-$45 off a new phone which is not much at all. After leaving Apple, I went to a local Verizon store where I was able to surprisingly get the brand new iPhone (the iPhone 16) at $830 off just for trading in my old iPhone 11. Verizon currently appears to have the best deals out of all phone carriers. If you are looking for a new iPhone, Verizon is currently accepting any old phone, at any condition, as a trade-in offer. So, you'll get your new cell phone paid off in 2 years - Verizon will take money off your bill every month until the phone is paid off. I still got to keep my regular monthly bill and infact, my new plan is now cheaper with a new phone because I did not add the Verizon insurance. I eventually added AppleCare+ to my phone incase of any accidental damage or theft/loss. I also have an extra $5 or $10 off my Verizon bill with auto-pay. Overall, I had no issues while visiting because I just came to ask a quick inquiry. If you want better deals then I don't suggest visiting Apple because mostly everything is at full price. Go to your phone carrier instead such as Verizon or TMobile for discounts. My husband broke his screen...front and back...while we were on a weekend vacation. He needed to get it fixed haha! We were welcomed and quoted about 90 minutes. My daughter's phone was giving her an error that it sensed moisture and wouldn't charge. I brought her phone in for her to see what was going on. I had an appointment and when I checked med in, they had me go to the Genius Bar. lol. It was a table. The tech who came over was quick. He looked at the charge port and said he saw some corrosion. He went to the back and said he cleaned it out. That worked. Charging worked again. As I was waiting there to allow it to charge more than the 28%, I was listening the the surrounding techs help people with great care. Done if the elderly people just needed someone to show them how to get out if accessibility mode in their iPad, or to reset a password. The techs were very patient and helpful to the customers! This was my first time at an Apple Store and it was pretty overwhelming. We stopped by on a Monday around 7pm and it was extremely overcrowded. I prefer to shop without having an employee following my every move, but it was somewhat difficult to find someone to check us out. The checkout process itself was quick and easy and the employee who helped us was extremely nice. They had a lot to choose from and we found the perfect iPad! read more

I needed to have my charger port either replaced or cleaned. The assistant who worked with me told me they could not replace the charger port(not true, independent repair businesses do)-nor was she willing to clean the port because she said it looked clean, She kept wanting to sell me a new phone-as well as trying to upgrade my icloud storage. Thank god for the internet. I was able to clean the port myself-and...it is now charging again. So, basically The Apple store was less than helpful in that they also wasted 40 minutes of my time refusing to clean their product and trying to sell me a new phone. read more

Getting a new phone has turned into an experience akin to buying a car or going to the dentist. Just not fun. I had an appointment which I would recommend. Walking in without one and you could be waiting a long time. I have been to this Apple Store before and had positive experiences. This time it was outstanding because the service, knowledge and just great service of Joshua. Just the nicest guy, took time to explain the differences between the models of the phone, he asked questions to understand how I use the phone and guided me through the process picking the right one for my needs. Was there almost two hours and he devoted the entire time to me. Very impressed. If there is a down side, it is you can't really request a particular associate at the Apple Store. This store is always busy. Appointments are suggested, but I always walk in. The wait is not as long as it used to be. My phone issue is that I'm not receiving voice mails. The tech told me my phone system is fine, like an AT&T store clerk also told me. Apple suggests I call the AT&T tech support. Sometimes they can go further into the phone to fix a problem. So they gave me the number, and that is what I'll do. read more

we went to the Apple Store @ Eaton on Monday 3/4 around 2:00 I was interested in finding/ purchasing an Apple watch for the first time. the person who took care of us, answered the bare minimum of the questions we had. actually he acted to us like he could care less whether we bought one today or not. I did not catch his name, he had green hair, that is what stood out for both of us. very disappointed in the customer service we got. I purposely went there to get someone who knew what they were talking about and guide us with the pros and cons. he barely answered our questions. needless to say, we walked out and probably, this was our last visit to that Apple Store. Two years in a row I've had to come here to pick up an iPhone (due to availability) and each time I've had nothing but kind service. Yes, that means I only came twice in the span of two years, but it had been a great experience. My last visit, the rep didn't need to assist me any further (he was managing the pick up line), but he made an effort to find someone to cover for him while he helped me with all my needs. This place is always busy, and double the size of Crocker Park Apple in Westlake, but they do a great job in managing people's needs. read more

The employee that I dealt with was awesome, very patient with me and answered all of my questions. The ding of one star was for the Genius Bar manager, I think, who wanted to rush me along a bit. This is a review of the Apple Store, not Apple products. That's an essential distinction. I had to go the the Apple store to have the keyboard replaced for the second time in 2 years on a $4000 MacBook Pro. Luckily it was covered by AppleCare. I'm the fool though since my tracking number number says my new 16 inch MacBook will be in my hands tomorrow. So anyway, I will leave my opinions on the quality of the Apple products themselves out of this. This store is usually pretty busy, but they have a very efficient system of checking people in and getting them the help they need. The employees are extremely helpful and patient- you have to be to help people with IT issues. They are great at explaining their products, and always friendly. The store is fully stocked with merchandise and repair parts. Going here is a great experience. read more

Ehhhhh...The young man I just dealt with was a liar. He definitely needs to take some customer service classes. After talking to Apple customer service on the phone about my headphones which I have Apple care for they told me I would be able to get a replacement in store. I have already taken them to get repaired at this location twice and after they sent them away they sent them back and said they didn't see any issues however I continue have issues. So Apple has agreed to replace them. At least when I called Apple customer service and they told me I can go to the store and made an appointment. I go to this location after making an appointment. The young man told me that they do not replace them in store and they had to send them away and they would send me NEW ones. What he failed to explain was that, he was sending them to get "repaired" even though I have already tried doing that twice. I found this out afterwards. He told me to take off the ear pads and that Apple would send me new headphones without ear pads and I can use my old ones. This didn't make sense to me. Everything he told me was a lie. I was doing the same thing I had already previously done twice. So once I figured out he was lying. I confronted him. And he continued to lie. Poorly. He said he been working there for six years. Which I do not believe. What he told me was that I would be receiving new headphones but then he switched it up and said that if they did not see any issue with my headphones ( and they didn't before) then they would send them back and they would escalate it. I asked him what that entailed and he said he did not know and his six years working at Apple nothing had ever gotten to that point. Hmmmm.... okay. I asked for the manager who he pointed to and said was MJ. She had been standing behind him the entire time listening to our interaction and said nothing. He told me that what Apple tells you on the phone is usually a lie and not their policy in the store. And they often send people to the store thinking they can get a replacement because they have AppleCare. I have already sent my headphones to get repaired which they have record of and they still don't work properly yet they still don't want to replace them in store even though I paid for Apple care. read more

Never have I paid so much money to be treated like dirt. The blonde, woman supervisor shouldn't be allowed to supervise so much as an ANT FARM. She has zero tact. Sadly, this is what she is passing on to her staff. Even if I, the consumer, was wrong.....and you, the supervisor of an Apple store, are only allowed to recite what's on a piece of paper with bad news..... MAKE IT SOUND LIKE I JUST WON A MILLION DOLLARS! Instead, from go she was argumentized and didn't even want to hear what I had to say. Ok, this is a tough one. I know leaving a review during this pandemic is a very tough thing. Businesses are in difficult positions. However, I was actively uncomfortable with safety standards in this store when I was forced to come in for a visit recently. On paper, the store is doing everything right. They are doing temperature checks, limiting the amount of people going inside, etc. However, there was not an emphasis on enforcement of social distancing with the floor markers and mask wearing. I really did not want to have to visit an Apple store in the pandemic, but I was forced to for a work related technology issue. I feel it's so important to be honest...because there are those of us that need to take this pandemic seriously for personal reasons or for the health and safety of those we love that are immunocompromised. I know a business can't prevent people from being irresponsible, but even with markers on the floor, I was actively uncomfortable with how close people were standing to me and wearing their masks around their neck while doing irresponsible things like coughing or talking loudly on phones. After asking people to please back up and wear their mask and being ignored, I asked the staff politely to please enforce. They brushed me off and went on with the rest of the bustling metropolis of the store. This was so disappointing. I was actively uncomfortable here during the pandemic and do not plan to return, even if another work related need arises. Let me preface with, Im a long time Apple user and Fan. While this recent experience certainly does not change it, it definitely dampens my willingness to go to the stores or recommend them until the service piece maybe changes. The online store works fine for me, but sometimes you just want to shop, that's the point right? Maybe pick something up in the moment?? Apple is a company that everyone knows sells you more often than not, more expensive than most hardware products. In some cases ridiculously overpriced things. Especially chargers and cords. The pricey ness piece only adds to the below frustration and the so called privilege to shop their brick and mortar stores( which more and more I get this feeling). To the concept of Store, I.e. Brick and mortar store. In recent years Ive noticed more and more that getting around in an Apple store is often times cumbersome, where you are approached by several Apple team members questioning can they help you ? IM HERE TO SHOP! People still do this in the 20teens and so on. Don't they? Am I alone here? But then you want to buy something and have to track down whoever the person is to make your purchase. It's not always obvious because they are everywhere and no where at the same time depending on the store. That to me has been the past several years and increasingly cumbersome. Fast forward to our COVID world. I had the "privilege" of visiting the Eton Store in Cleveland area, and while all the stores surrounding this Apple store (which I rarely visit these days) had customers coming and going, distancing wearing masks etc. Yes the stores are open and you can be safe following the common sense rules..It works. Apple has this draconian set up where you are greeted by security (somewhat intimidating ) as soon as you get "close" I'm guessing 30-40 feet or so from their doors. So right away you feel al little put off. TSA often feels this way as I travel frequently. They then ask you what you want, I simply said I wanted to shop. They point me to a place to stand and wait outside, moments later I'm called in. The second round of questioning, my name email, why I'm here.. I again say I'm shopping.. This person looks a little quizzically at me, then asks me to stand in a specific place against a wall next to flat screen monitors where I will be helped??? Remember I'm not sure what I want, just want to see what's new and maybe form some opinions. The third person ( I'm now 15+ minutes into this and have not seen anything yet) Asks my name, and for whatever reason he's having trouble pulling up my name, then asks my email address. This seems to work, then he asks what am I here for, I say I'm shopping. You'd have though I'd said I was from Mars, because unless you know what you specifically want, they can't help you and can't have you arbitrarily Roam the store as all other stores allow and have no issues with. Now more than 20 minutes in, I simply state that the process of safety has been taken to insanity and leave and had I simply had been allowed to roam and SHOP. I'd likely had been out of there in less than 5 minutes maybe more or less?? See my point? Well, that of course does not matter. They need to control you from start to finish and control their flow.. I know, I know,, only percentages of people can come and go right? It's COVID right?? This is the excuse for all poor customer service issues these days when really it's all about liability perceived or real. It's safety taken to levels of insanity. It's not a shopping experience there any more, if you like being policed, told what to do and where to stand and have your whole shopping experience controlled by several people who's only concern is to get you in and out, Shop Apple these days guys. I'm sad to say The customer experience has gone from Cumbersome over recent years to out the window. Their great customer experience ratings in their stores well, I must be an anomaly. :) read more

My mother is 86 and infirm with a bad hip and has great difficulty getting around. So when her MacBook Air battery died I, as her son, took it upon myself to bring it to the Apple Store in Eton shopping center for a replacement battery purchase and installation. I made an appointment and told the customer service reps at that time as well as when I got to the store that the computer was my mother's but that it would be better logistically to use my name and email, etc. to send the work order and any correspondence. When I got notice that the computer was ready I went in with my mother's credit card to pick it up. The store is 25 minutes away so kind of a hike and a bite out of my hourly wage earning day to travel there. When I tried to pay for it with Mom's card, after all her name was on and registered with the computer in Apple's records, they refused because they said my name was on the work order. They never told me, even as I had told them that it was my mother's computer, that I wouldn't be able to use her payment method. I said they could call her on her Apple registered phone number and get an alternative credit card number. They refused. They said I would have to use my credit card (which I didn't bring with me) or go home and return with my mother. So I did-bad hip and all. This is the epitome of uncaring, arrogant and dismissive customer service. I confronted the store manager and he just smiled sheepishly and promised to bring it up at the next CS meeting. This is not a review of apple products since that can be found all over the Internet. This is a review of the customer service here at this specific store. And it is awful. If there was zero stars, that's how much I would give. We took our MacBook in to have the techs look at it under our AppleCare service contract. They basically open the back of the computer (which we could have done ours) and said yup all good. When we asked if all the internal components could be looked at, they said it would need to be sent in. We confirmed with the guy checking us in, a guy who we called later at this exact store, and a customer service rep on Apples website that no repairs and no charges would happen until we authorized it. We get a call that the computer is ready and there is a large bill for all the repairs made which totals to almost half of a new computer. Never once did anyone call us to get authorization. The manager of this store was not helpful and promised to call us back after we submitted all this paperwork proving our side and all she did was ignore all the calls and emails we sent and never called us on the days she promised. Apple is a great company but don't take your expensive Apple products here to be checked. Horrible customer service. read more

My iPhone 13 pro max ( newer phone ) was not letting me receive calls. Calls going directly to voice mail. DND wasn't on... spent close to an hour with a tech named Tai. Tai ran all kinds of tests on the phone, turned phone off, on,reset ... nothing worked. Same problem was happening. Tai tells me that she believes the issue isn't an Apple issue because all the tests came back perfect. My phone isn't the problem. I was told to go to Verizon. The issue is with them. Ok- I thanked the tech, who smiled & sincerely apologized that I had to now go to Verizon... I was a little annoyed,, it wasn't the tech's fault, but I just spent an hour of my morning @ the Apple store & my phone was still messed up! I get to Verizon. Wait to be seen. Tell them the issue. Verizon put a new SIM card in my phone, ran a test, same issue. My phone wasn't ringing. All calls went directly to voicemail. I was told by Verizon that my phone was the issue. I wanted to hurt the Verizon guy. What is going on?! I just spent an hour at the Apple store and about 45 min at Verizon AND my phone STILL wasn't right. Verizon sent me back to Apple. I am not happy. I get back to Apple. I wait a few minutes & Tai comes back over to me- smile & so friendly. I am frustrated. I tell the tech what Verizon said .... Tai wipes out my phone more tests with new SIM card, starts from scratch- she calls over another woman & a guy named Alex. Nobody can figure out this issue. Bottom line? I was in the darn Apple store for about 6 hrs! No joke. Tai & Alex were working on my phone with no success. Not 1 time did Tai lose her cool, show me that she was frustrated. I was friendly, but obviously annoyed and frustrated... who wants to spend their day off of work in the Apple store for HOURS!? Thai and Alex never made me feel like they couldn't handle this issue. I never lost faith in them. Tai told me,: Don't worry, we won't let you leave here without a working phone... ( I forgot to mention: while at Apple, my Verizon service was mistakenly cut off. I called Verizon 2x from Apple store) Anyhow, from reading this too long review, you can imagine how annoyed I was. Tai & Alex & I don't know the other tech's name at Apple, were terrific. Tai even stayed a little past the time she was off work! I told her to go home! I felt so bad! Frustrated, but bad that she literally just spent her ENTIRE work day with ME & my phone that STILL wasn't right. ( BTW? Apple offers some good classes .. I listened to about 4-5 of them! don't forget, I was there ALL day!) Alex spoke to the Verizon rep on the phone- FINALLY after HOURS, Alex and the Verizon guy fixed phone. Very rare Verizon issue. Thank you SO much to Tai, Alex and the other woman who helped me. You were all great. Fantastic customer service, even with a frustrated customer, even when non of you could fix the problem, I never lost my faith in you, you never made me feel like I was a pain or that you were sick of trying to fix this darn phone or anything negative . I have used and owned Apple products for a long time now. I bought iPods YEARS ago, probably fifteen or so, online from Apple. I also got one for my wife and two step daughters. No problem, and when I finally got a smart phone, years after most of my friends, I got the iPhone (I'm on my second one and frankly, love it). I even decided, about five years ago now, maybe four, to replace my PC with an iMac. NOT cheap, but I LOVE it. The problem I have with Apple at this point and this location in particular, involves two pair of AirPods I purchased last summer. It was a Sunday and I decided I wanted to upgrade my Bose wired ear buds, so I decided to get a pair of the newest AirPods. I went to Apple's site, where I purchased all of my stuff before, and ordered a pair that would be delivered on Tuesday. Cool. Then, as I was impatient and bored about two hours later, I thought I'd simply drive to Apple and get them there and just have them cancel the online order. Long story short because I'll type a novella here - trust me, they couldn't cancel it at the store and I needed to do it myself online. So, since I was there, I decided to get a pair there and still get the second pair delivered and one will be for my wife ($268 each, mind you). Okay, to make this quick, the pair I got from the actual, physical store are the ones I decreed were mine. I didn't even try them out for about a week and a half, but when I did, they were AWESOME. For about an hour and then one went dead. I had no idea what happened and thought they just disconnected from the phone. Nope, it was dead as in no battery left on the left one. Suffice to say that the pair I got online work beautifully. Both pods keep a charge for five or six hours as they are supposed to, but the pair I bought at Apple Eton were defective as one only lasts for less than an hour, and after several phone conversations with people who - sorry but I'm saying this - I could barely understand, the one guy told me I can't return them because I should have done so within five days. To be completely honest, I KNOW and KNEW I could have pursued this, but Apple is SO BIG you can't even contact them directly unless you snail mail something. I just chalked it up to a lesson learned. In closing, beware when you buy something from this store because to be honest, I seriously believe a defective pair was returned and they just put them back on the shelf where the associate got them for me to sell me. One is only holding a charge for an hour, sometimes only forty five minutes. I just use the other pair and my wife doesn't care. Just be careful and the lesson I learned is if you do purchase something directly from that store or even online, make sure you check it out immediately. Don't wait two weeks like I did. I still love the products from Apple though. read more

My trip ended in a call to the police! Morgan ignored me most my visit to buy a new iPhone to watch a woman's basketball game yesterday. During her trip away from me to watch the game for about 20 minutes into my visit, my phone was stolen. Morgan implied it was my fault that the phone was stolen, as she asked why I didn't watch it (since, she didn't not wish to.) Morgan had already taken my payment for the phone and accessories. The store called the police so we can report the stolen phone. The store had no idea what to do, as the manager was not there. No one even said sorry for the inconvenience, despite me letting the workers know it would make me feel better if they did. The next day, my boyfriend (because I was so sad by the situation) went to get my phone for me. He had a 10am appointment with the manager today to finish buying my phone, since the store was reckless and abandoned their client and product to watch TV in the middle of a sale. The manager made him wait 3 hours to finally meet at get a phone. I just had the best experience at Apple Store Eaton. I had made an appointment to shop for a new iphone since my old 7Plus was dying. Of course they were busy ( make that appointment!) but I was helped almost immediately by Santana, a smart young man who managed to juggle 3 customers at once without any of us feeling slighted or missing important information. Give the guy a raise and try to keep him! Oh, and my new phone is perfect. read more

Overall pleasant experience, be sure you have at least an hour to spare if not more. If going on the weekend be sure to make an appointment!!! I made a reservation over the phone a few days prior to my appointment, and I'm extremely glad I did. Sunday (and I imagine Saturday as well) is apparently gadget repair day. It was bustling full of people AND employees, making t a million times easier to find someone to direct me. I was seated at a repair table where a "genius" was helping a woman trouble shoot her phone. I only had to wait a few minutes before I was called, which was great because the queue was looking quite hefty. The young lady helping me was extremely friendly, she saw I was reading a kindle while waiting and gave me some great book suggestions and even an app called Overdrive that would allow me to borrow e-books from local libraries. Thanks again, Fadhima! You've got one hell of a handshake! I was told to come back in about an hour and a half. I grabbed lunch and when I returned had to pick it up it wasn't quite ready. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes before getting my phone back. Not a big deal, I wandered around a little. They have an area for kids to sit and play on iPads in the store as well as headphones and other products to demo. When I got my phone back everything was as it were when I dropped it off. A stop at the Apple Store at Eton in Cleveland, Ohio .... today ... I was told there would be a 45 minute wait. A short while later, a gentleman let me know they were running a bit late. It wasn't 45 minutes until a lovely young lady, Christina, took over my Apple phone problem. She was not only knowledgable, but kind and explained many things to me as she was repairing my problems with my phone. As a senior, she dealt with that fact and got everything running smoothly. I wish every place I visited for help had the qualities this young lady has. Kudos read more
