I had receipt. They would not take it back because I did not have the box. Called Verizon right away and chatted with a rep. They said I could absolutely return with a receipt to the store. No box required. Back to the store. Showed them the chat transcript. They would not honor the Verizon policy. There is no way you could tell that this not a real "Verizon' store. Verizon should make franchises abide by Verizon policy or state very clearly and up front that they are not. We have been Verizon customers from the first time we got cell phones. I was told one thing in the store influencing my decision to switch over to their services only to find out that the info provided to me was false. Called Customer service and they did nothing to assist me. I'm stuck with an almost $400 bill because a rep told me that international service maxed in cost at 10 days... that was wrong info. This isn't fair but there is nothing that I can do but complain on Yelp. I don't recommend AT & T. All I wanted was a fair chance to decide to go with their service based on the truth, but nope, they lied, and a month later I'm paying more for my bill than I expected with no concern on their end because their bank accounts are bigger.
