I had a truly dreadful experience in this store today. I made an appointment for 2.15pm and received a text message stating my appointment was at 2.15pm. When I entered the store a man behind me, with no appointment, was served immediately. I was told to wait and then to stand by the iPad counter which I did. After 5 minutes I asked when I would be served. I was informed that my appointment was "from" 2.15 - 2.30 pm and I may have to wait even longer. The manager was rude, condescending and obnoxious. He would not listen to me and kept talking over me and interrupting. I can't believe that a shop could treat a customer in such a disrespectful way. I took my custom elsewhere and will tell all my family and friends to avoid this shop. Disgraceful. read more

While I'm not an out n' out Apple geek - I do love my Mac Book Pro. And my iPhone. And my iPad! Oh, and I quite like the look of Apple TV. But apart from that I can take it or leave it (please don't make me leave it) The Apple store is funny place to be. Down stairs you'll find kids playing on the iPads, iPod and iPhones and a few middle class old folk deciding how to spend £3k of their savings on something they really don't need. You'll also find free wifi and if you're REALLY lucky - you'll find somebody's Facebook page on an iPad that they've forgotten log out of. Upstairs is the 'Genius' bar. So say because it's full of Apple Genius's - and I'd tend to agree. Every time I've been there for a problem with one of my many Apple devises, they've quickly fixed it or replaced it with a brand spanking new device - which is always a treat! It's a funny place the Apple store. But if you want to buy an Apple product or get one fixed, you'd be silly to go anywhere else! read more

This shop is pretty much their online store in person, all white and neatly laid out, but more fun because you can play with their toys. Please miss, can you stop drooling over the headphones? Thank you. Aside from a shop full of pretty gadgets and ultra thin laptops there is a Genius Bar here, where you can take your poorly mac for a checkup and hopefully get it fixed. If you are technologically-challenged then they hold workshops here to hold your hand through the complicated Mac interface (snigger). MMmmmmmmmmm Macs.... For years I was a Windows and PC puritan. I wouldn't hear a word against them, despite my friends singing the praises of Macs. "But there are no viruses for Macs!" Lies. "The design is so beautiful!" Whatever. Childish? Yes. Wrong? Certainly. Because once you go Mac, you'll never go back. I am now a complete Apple convert and, more importantly, an Apple Store convert. How could you not love a shop so futuristically designed, with happy helpful assistants with first rate products. People say you shouldn't go to a supermarket hungry because you'll buy too much. I say you shouldn't go to the Apple store with your credit cards because the temptation to buy anything is far too strong. It's so laid back, don't be too timid to try out the products and take them for a test drive. Hurrah, Bristol now has its own big lovely shiny Apple store. Had to get a new mac recently and though I did very much want the shiny slimline macbook pro, after discussing my needs, the assistant concurred that this was excessive and I went for something less shiny. My new mac still is very shiny though. The shop assistant there made us listen to some amazing new headphones they had just got in from New Zealand, at a few hundred pounds knowing we weren't planning on buying them but still wanted us to share in the musical experience! What lovely staff they have at the Apple Store! Some of the accessories are a bit expensive, you might find accessories cheaper elsewhere. I LOVE APPLE. I am writing this one my apple, whilst my ipod is plugged into my hifi and playing me music. Steve Jobs is a Genius. But i will try and stay impartial. The the Apple store in Bristol is small compared to the other i have been in, but that does not mean to say that it is worse. It does everything it should: sell products, have a Genius bar, have a one to one Bar, and makes you fell good. I particularly like the Apple store in Bristol because they let me pick up my laptop out of hours and gave me a discount. Good blokes in my books. read more

It's so white, so clean, so sleek and so very, very modern. The Apple Store slots into Cabot Circus' high-end Quakers Friar area perfectly. With its chic, glassy facade, it epitomises the minimalist style for which Apple has become so famed. It's not the biggest store but there's plenty to choose from. I could spend hours drooling over the beautiful items. I know that there's plenty of rival companies which offer the same technology for a cheaper price, but like everyone else, I'm a sucker for its unrivalled branding. read more

If you've been to one apple store you've been to them all. That's not necessarily a bad thing when the standard is this high. The staff are always super friendly and helpful, and will do what they can to assist you. The shops are always clean and well presented. People are known to go for the retail experience. Not many places can claim that. read more

Bought mt IPhone into Apple Bristol for a look over at their Genius Bar. It's only 4 months old and has got a load of dust in the display. The guy who looked at it said that wasn't right, and that he'd replace it immediately. Then, almost as an afterthought, he looked in the headphone port, and said that the water sensor had been triggered, and that he wouldn't replace it after all as the warranty was void. His whole attitude changed, as if I was trying to pull a fast one on him. The phone has never been near water. Even if it had, I don't see how that relates to a badly sealed unit. Talk about trying to wriggle out of something using the small print. I even offered to pay to have it cleaned as I just want a phone which works properly, but he wouldn't have anything to do with it. I left the shop with a very bad taste in my mouth - as if I'd just been accused of trying to commit fraud or similar. I'm also left with a phone for the remaining 14 months of my contract which I can watch gradually fill up with dust, until it eventually konks out, I suppose. Either that or pay an eye-watering £450 for a new one. So - Apple are OK, until something goes wrong. Then it's tough s**t - you're on your own. I expect a lot more from such a supposedly upmarket brand. Nokia next time ;) read more

Six visits to the store Genius Bar before they could finally fix a simple problem with my computer. Sadly, this also involved an argument with a manager when he wouldn't fulfill a promise made by his employee. There are a handful of people that work here that are arrogant and not helpful. It took a call to headquarters to complain about those six visits to the store where they had yet to the fix the problem. Once headquarters read over the notes, they realised how ridiculous the situation was and promised to resolve the issue. And once I made that call the problem was solved, because the geniuses knew they no longer had any room to make the same lame excuses that they made over the past six visits. So a waste of time for me and them but glad it was finally resolved. read more

Just got back from this Apple store. I went to make an appointment at the Genius Bar, but the woman said they were full for the day. She looked at the schedule which, as I also saw, said there were no openings. Despite this, she walked across the room & somehow got me a reservation at that very moment. Cool. I told the employee, Alex, that my macbook charger was no longer working. He quickly diagnosed the problem as coming from the plug head. Being that I'm a student from the States, they didn't have anything I would be able to use back at home. Alex told me to wait a moment as he walked into the supply room. He came back with a UK plug head that I would be able to use while I'm studying here. And he gave it to me for free. Very cool. I walked out of the store with an enormous smile on my face. The people I met here really care about helping you out, even if it means going out of their way for you. Great service. Easiest 5* I've ever given. read more

I agree with previous reviewers the people here are arrogant and unhelpful. I arrived at the Genius bar at the appointed time and was just told to "wait over there". 10 minutes later I was asked what I was doing standing there. I explained and was told to sit down and someone would be with me in a minute. 10 minutes later I was still sat there so I asked to speak to manager who made loads of excuses why they couldn't see me at the appointed time in a "our time is more important than yours" kind of way and just told me to sit and wait. No apology. I ended up waiting 25 minutes and was late back to work. I should have at least been told the expected waiting time when I get there or they should have got someone else to help me from another department. Even the manager could have offered to help. When I finally got to see someone they weren't much help anyway. This is my first experience of the "Genius" bar - hope this is just Bristol or Apple has serious problems. read more

Went here recently with my friend to get his MacBook Pro replaced under warranty. Terrible communication in terms of where we were supposed to actually go to have someone attend to us, wasted most of the afternoon/evening waiting around the store since nobody bothered to contact my friend on his phone as they said they would do to indicate whether or not he'd have his laptop back by the end of the day. We eventually asked someone and they told us it would not be ready for some days. Useless staff, poorly organised. read more

Awful experience. The first time I went there, I got a half-hearted attempt at diagnosing the issue, which ended with "we don't repair this, you need to by a replacement". Got the alleged problem fixed elsewhere, which actually solved nothing. Went back, my phone was not even LOOKED at before I was told (by the same guy) I just need to fork out a few hundred quid a replace it. Sure thing, I'll just throw more of my money at you when you can't even pass on my phone to an engineer who can actually diagnose and maybe even fix my phone. Lazy, useless and unhelpful; not really doing the Apple brand any favours. read more

Where better to buy Apple products from, other than another Apple store. Now there is one at the Mall, which is bigger and has free parker, that aside, helpful & knowledgeable staff and somewhere to "try" before you buy. Non apple products, bags and headphones, etc are more expensive, but as with everything apple you pay a premium for the service/name/carrier bag you get post purchase. read more

There's always something slightly disappointing about going to a computer shop to try out their gadgets. That, however was in the time before the rise of the mac. Now everyone wants one. Whether it's an iPod touch, iPhone, Mac Book Pro, Mac book air, this is the shop to visit, with all the know how. The staff in here are friendly and helpful, and if you ask them nicely, then can help you get a student discount on your mac if you're that way inclined. Otherwise, scout out what's on offer and put it on your Xmas list. read more

A lot of people will complain about the prices of apple's products. In my view this is unjustified and the store proves it. The aftersales team are just so incredibly nice, well informed and helpful that you can't help but feel that you are getting what you paid for. They offer loads of free workshops for the less computer-competent. I'll offer my two cents on the windows vs mac debate: I've gone mac and I'm never going back. The Bristol Store is extremely convenient for me, my reasonably priced 3 year student warranty means that on the off chance it does go wrong (it hasn't even slowed a tiny bit since I bought it in mid 2008) I can just pop to the store and chat to the extremely friendly staff. Also, the store itself is as aesthetically pleasing as the products themselves. read more

They're fairly good, well, at least they were when they opened. These days I'm less than impressed, with longgggg and I mean LONG delays in getting anything fixed! My macbook pro power adapter broke, which they acknowledged was a common fault and would replace it for free within 2 days...... 18 days later and they STILL HAVEN'T GOT ONE IN! What kind of customer service is that, I've a laptop I can't charge, they won't loan me one to use, and I've paid for 3 years of Apple Care while they couldn't give a toss. I took my Apple Mac book pro laptop to Genius Bar as screen is getting delamination in dec..The technician checked and verified and mentioned they can change screen free of cost through quality program and asked me to call back on feb to implement quality programme. When I book appointment on feb for quality programme the technician took my laptop and verified and accepted for quality programme and mentioned 5-7 working days . After 5 days they called me and said they noticed severe liquid instance in my laptop and they think it is coffee or tea which I said we won't drink tea or coffee . He said it could be any liquid and he thinks laptop should not be working. I said technician checked when I gave and it is working perfectly fine and not aware of liquid damage from my side. He said to repair everything it costs £1000+ and i have spend it then only they will implement quality programme to replace screen . I was totally confused and could not understand what happens to laptop and what to do. I have raised complaint with store manager and Apple customer relation and same response either spent £1000+ or take my laptop back . In the event I do not collect laptop they threaten laptop will be destroyed in 90 days. I felt like Apple is trying squeeze as much money as possible from customers and liquid damage is certainly not happened at my side and Apple denied to accept damage. I would have given negative rating if that is allowed..I have decided to stay away from Apple and try my best to discourage others to think before buying this brand products... read more

I've been in here 3 times now with the intention of buying a MacBook Air, to add to the 6 other apple devices I've already got. However, staff seem totally disinterested and don't even acknowledge your existence. To be honest I'm getting totally sick of Apple. They seem to have no interest in their customers and are only interested in a quick buck and minimal service. Time to go back to Microsoft and android I think. read more

Small but neat little place that has amazingly friendly staff. Most arnt very technical on details but they will have the answer to most questions and they will always encourage you to try out products, which like all apple stores there are plenty of them around. For accessories though (at least), it will still be cheaper to look elsewhere read more

I really don't think it even deserves one star. I brought my son's phone into the Apple store in Cabot circus made to feel like a number really unhelpful staff and service. The store looks fab but the ethos is to be as unhelpful as possible. Really disappointed, not what I expected from a multi billon pound company but profit rather than people appear to be what's important to Apple. read more
