After an event night I wasn't feeling like cooking so I called in an order for pickup at Appethaizing Thai. I've passed this spot for YEARS and have never given it a try, but I'm glad we finally did! They quoted us half an hour for pickup and it was ready right when they said. We got crab rangoon, gyoza, Chicken Pad Thai, and Crispy Garlic Chicken. It was all packed up nicely and we kept in warm in the oven for about an hour and it held perfectly. We were floored when we saw the portion sizes. My Chicken Pad Thai literally lasted me THREE meals and my husband's Garlic Chicken lasted him two! And then, our crab rangoon order came with EIGHT pieces and so did the gyoza. All of that food? $62 after tip. Absolutely insane deal if you ask me! The gyoza were good, but those are pretty hard to mess up imo. We were obsesssedd with the crab rangoon! You can tell that they use real crab, and the filling overall was so delicious. And they didn't skimp, these things were stuffed so full. I got three stars for my pad thai and it was perfect in every way. My husband was expecting his Crispy Garlic Chicken to be wayy more crispy, but it kind of missed the mark for him as he said it wasn't very crispy or crunchy. That said, he said that the flavor was on point. I'm so glad that we finally gave this place a chance. It'll definitely be our new go to when we're craving Thai food! read more

Updating my review as I have been having much better experiences when I moved to Puyallup and bought take out orders frequently here. My boyfriend and I come by here to grab their lunch specials because you get a bit of everything: rice, phad thai and your choice of entree. My boyfriend isn't big on spicy foods but he loves their sweet chili chicken, which has a bit of a kick to it but he says it is one of the best fried chicken dishes he's had. I really enjoy their red curry and the basil chicken was pretty good too. I really want to try their other options too! The service here is professional and friendly too. The gentleman who is the cashier is always warm and polite when we order on the phone or in person. They are a take out only spot but they have cute Pokemon, Seahawks and other fun decor. read more

Alot of places claim authenticity but not many live up to the expectations like Appethaizing did. First and foremost my husband and I are fans of 'BIGFOOT' so glad to meet fellow believers lol. This was our first time here the sweet young lady in the front was welcoming and helpful. Walls are covered in Bigfoot! Love the selection of ramen upfront! This wont be the last! The yellow curry was honestly perfect the chicken wasn't tough or too thick. My daughter devoured her chicken bowl & I also got the Lao version papaya salad tasted just like home. Let me start off by saying oh my goodness. If you're driving from Tacoma to Bonney Lake or Lake taps and you're on River Road this is probably the best Thai food you'll ever get. The owners are very involved and very friendly. The food gets prepped very quickly and out the door. I would suggest you call ahead and they'll have it ready for you . We ordered pineapple, fried rice, drunken noodles, and sweet chili chicken. The flavors are amazing. This by far is the best Thai food I've ever had. Order Appethaizing through Uber Eats. Boy was it a big mistake. Nothing on the Uber Driver but the food was terrible! We ordered the Chicken Green Curry, Pad See Ew, and Chicken Wings. The Chicken Curry was totally tasteless and bland. Especially when you have to $5.50 extra for the chicken. The Chicken for the Pas See Ew was old and dried out. Not to mention an additional $5.50. This is my go to Thai place. We love the pad Thai, curries and the street noodles. My mom and I also love their Thai tea with boba- it's delightful. I recently had their Tom Yum when I was sick and it was so delicious and comforting. Their food is consistently good- it's not the best Thai food in the Tacoma area, but is my favorite for Puyallup. We have differing opinions about the sticky rice puddings- we all love the mango sticky rice. Can I give it 6 stars? I like the black rice pudding (it tastes like all the good coconut flavors) but my mom misses the mango so it's probably a 3.5 stars average. Service is consistently good for take out. While you can't sit in this place to enjoy your meal, you can be sure you will wherever you do take it to. I discovered this little joint during COVID and it's my go-to in Puyallup/Sumner. Their rangoons are so good, and honestly all dishes we've ever tried have been very fresh and tasty. You can taste the home made, hard work in each meal to be honest. I was working in town for several months and came here almost weekly. It's sooo good, some of the best Thai food I've had. Everything is super fresh, cooked to order, and they have hands down the largest fresh rolls ever (tofu ones are amazing, as is the peanut dipping sauce). I even brought a couple orders of the fresh rolls down to Oregon and friends agreed. Generous portions, I could make several meals off the chicken pad Thai and fresh rolls. The family who owns it are always welcoming, and they really hustle. Wait time if you order in-person isn't bad, but would recommend if it's a weekend night to call ahead with your order, as they do get busy (justifiably so)! read more

This dish was very disappointing for $16 plus tip, so $20. The sauce separated and was VERY thick before I even got home. The spice level 3 was low. I thought the dish came with spinach. We had a to-go phone order that met all expectations. We've actually tried to order here before and found them closed on a random day. We ordered Friday night and I went in and picked it up. Chicken pad Thai with a side of shrimp (my mom doesn't like shrimp) and panang curry with chicken (which comes with a TINY side of rice.) I do appreciate they give you rice and you don't have to pay extra for it like at other places. My mom and I shared everything and there was just a little leftover. I would think they'd give you a little more rice, but it was barely enough to 2 to share (if I was with my boyfriend wouldn't have been enough.. not the main point) The food was great, my mom was happy and complimented it which is saying something, not spicy which we prefer, and everything was cooked well, the chicken didn't seem to dry in either dish and the side of shrimp was cooked great as well. The best Thai place in piece county. My husband and I were in the mood for Asian food but our options are limited in pierce. We've tried a few and we're never really satisfied. I was really excited to kill time while my car was getting an oil change here. I walked over and found out they don't have any inside seating. The lady at the front actually recommended I go to the Mexican place next door.... 1st sign customer's aren't their first priority. Then I asked if it would be possible to do a lunch special (they end at 3pm and it was 3:08pm) I didn't think that was a super big ask since they knew I would have to eat outside on the concrete or walk all the way back to the dealership but that was a no as well. When I joked and said maybe this was a bad idea since I was hitting walls left and right the gal literally walked to the back......I guess she really didn't care if I ordered or not..... needless to say I left really disappointed. Update- Additionally, a gentleman who works there saw I was still outside after posting this review and came out to yell at me about it. Not exactly professional or apologetic. Second update- Unfortunately, their response here yet again reiterates their unprofessional behavior and the truth of the situation stands for itself. They even posted a video of the interaction on their Facebook where you can see I didn't do anything wrong trying to shame me.... ‍I highly recommend they think about all the opportunities they had to make the situation better and instead not became defensive or resort to name calling their customers/potential customers. read more

I don't think I will order from here ever again. I ordered the sweet chili chicken, the chicken is fried, the big problem is there was more overcooked breading than there was chicken. I maybe had 3 pieces of actual chicken in the breaded mess. That's why they give you such a big portion. It was extremely crunchy and over cooked. This place can be missing if you are driving down the street. It's right next to value village. It is a very small place. A few tables that seat 4 and a few that is only for a couple. They have the typical items on a Thai menu BUT they had an option with Thai tea with coconut milk! I had to try it! And it's pretty good! I ordered the fresh shrimp rolls and it was very delicious! You can taste all the herbs in it. I like my rolls with cilantro and this place definitely had it! Their peanut sauce is amazing! They can probably cut back on the amount of lettuce that they put in it because then it gets rather hard to eat. I ordered their seafood pad Thai cause not allot of places offer that option.. I should of just stuck with the shrimps. The scallops, mussels, and squid weren't that well marinated into the delicious pad Thai sauce. I ordered a Tom Yum Noodle soup to-go, and sadly, I'm very disappointed. The noodles where beautiful. They didn't clump up and turn to mush. The chicken was simple, sliced up pieces. No complaints there. The broth was a total let down. It was extremely salty and was very heavy on the fish sauce. My entire living room smelled like fish sauce. There was no other flavor except a little hint of sour. The saltiness was THAT overpowering. I was expecting a delicious, sour and spicy broth, but I didn't get that. They also had honest kids organic juice boxes for our 2.5 year old and if your kid doesn't care for yummy Thai food they offer chicken nuggets and fries! Prices are great and the food is FLAVORFUL! The food I uploaded was mine it was cooked well and came with a great portion of chicken to noodles ration! We also had the Thai tea. It was good and only 2 bucks!
