They offer bike rentals which was convenient; however, it was $15 a day which is pricer than we anticipated. Great location if you're taking public transportation because it is a 2 minute walk to the central station and yet our hotel room was quiet with a great view!

Merel van Dort from The Slaak recommended the Rotterdam Marriott, and even offered to cover the difference in rate. Bonus point #1 to Merel for having done this! I then began working with Demi Vevat at the Rottderdam Marriott, who managed the transition seamlessly. We had a few last minute cancellations, which she also graciously allowed us to cancel. From working with Demi, to checking in, to our overall experience, I have to say the customer service at this hotel is as good as it gets! Everyone went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great! Shout out also to Olaf, who was a gem to work with! The rooms were spacious and clean, the Concierge Lounge had a great breakfast and evening snacks. We had a couple of meetings in there that afforded us a quiet spot to meet. The proximity to the train station is PERFECT, and the ability to walk to many places is easy. I would definitely stay at this property again! Thank you again to both Olaf and Demi!!

Our cruise company booked us in as part of a pre cruise package. Convience store 3 min walk away. Centraal station cube houses etc close. Big surprise with breakfast. Buffet breakfast was included. Holy moly! I feel like I'm been eating dog food in the USA and Canada compared to this. There are actual cooks making food vs people warming up stuff in bags. Huge selection of health foods. No rice crispies or foot loops here. Tons of different grains to add to you choice of different flavour Yougerts. Fresh made eggs and meats. Plus cold cuts cheeses 3 different breads you slice. Mind blowing. REAL white and brown sugar cubes. Can't remember when I last saw a sugar cube. Huge selection of everything. And get this a machine that on demand dispenses a perfect temperature pat of butter into a small dish. No more too cold plastic containers of butter that you can't spread or melted because you kept them in your pocket too long. Amazing. Service friendly. Beautiful. 5 stars to the buffet

The restaurant is exceptional and won't break the bank. Servers were helpful and on the ball. In particular, breakfast buffet was typical for a hotel but everything was presented very well and all was tasty. Dinner on two occasions consisted of baked cod, salad, fish and chips and their cheesburger. Food was fantastic for a location like this. I recommend this hotel without any reservation. I would definitely return. The only downside: Bathtub sides are very high. If you are not agile (!!!!!) you must get a room with a shower.

We arrived in Rotterdam with the hope of heading to the Kinderdijk, but when we realized that we…read moredidn't have enough time to make that happen, we decided that we would check out a few things in town. We headed over to the info desk in the train station, and one of the gentlemen working there gave us directions for a walking tour of the city, along with a map to follow, and highlights along the route. We had a few places to see in mind, but with his guidance, we got to see so much more! We headed off from Rotterdam Centraal and passed St. Lawrence Church, which was almost completely destroyed during WW 2, and has since been restored. We also ventured through the Weena, a pedestrian zone akin to an outdoor mall, past the Markthal, which houses several small shops, and is one of Rotterdam's famous architectural landmarks, and arrived at the infamous Cube Houses. After leisurely exploring the Cube Houses (3 Euros each, and self guided), we walked along the Niewe Maas river until we came to the Erasmusbrug, a bridge that crosses the river and connects the north and south parts of the city. This bridge supports both vehicles and pedestrians, and offers interesting and pretty views. Once across, we were on the Wilhelminapier, and turned down the wrong street (we were off by one block). We were lost, or so we thought, so we just decided to explore the area. That is when we came across the Rotterdam Food Hall. We stopped in, had a delicious lunch and break from the weather, then headed out to the water taxi, about a block away. The water taxi took us onto the Niewe Maas river, which was a fun and bumpy ride, due to the weather. We passed over the Maastunnel, a traffic tunnel running under the river. We were let off near the Euromast, our next stop. The Euromast houses a restaurant and an observation deck, and is the Netherlands' tallest building. We ventured to the observation deck and took loads of pictures, braving the cold, rain, and wind. You can see the entire city from up there, and the views are spectacular. Once back on the ground, we came upon the Park by the Euromast. It looked quaint and cozy, so we ventured in and walked around for a bit (It's just a city park, but feels very separate from the city because of the "walls" of greenery surrounding it.) We were now heading back towards the train station, and again, made a turn down a wrong street. At this point, we could easily see on the map where all the streets joined up, so we knew we weren't lost, and decided to explore the neighborhood a little more. We came upon Bierboutique, a small bar down a tree lined street, and decided to rest and eat before heading back to the train. Rotterdam is a beautiful and energy filled city with so much to see, that one day is definitely not enough. I feel like a lot of people pass it by because of it's modernity, but there is so much interesting stuff to see and do here, that you would be doing yourself a disservice by not visiting. 14/2020

The hotel will give a small discount when validating your ticket. After validation you have about 15 minute to get your car and exit, FYI. The hotel offers a small cafe and a nice bar area. There's a little breakfast area and a really nice lounge area. Also there's automated vending machines which are kinda cool. The reception desk very small because they a computer for guests to use for easy check-in and check-out. This hotel is only 3-5 minute walk to a main area and huge indoor food market. The famous cubed houses are also close by. We were on the 7th floor room 702 because I chose the Family room which has two rooms and a balcony. Very nice bathroom ( with nice pressure) as you enter room. One room has sleeper/couch and a very nice dresser/closet. Also has the mini fridge and coffee maker. Main room has the bed ( basically box springs with a topper), desk/chair, with tv. They definitely need to up their bed game and probably should be the most important item in the room in my opinion. The one cool thing in the room was a record player with records I didn't under stand, I would reference Shawshank as an example. The room was on a corner so the balcony wrapped around with views of housing and views of the city. Overall we thought the room had plenty of space and was comfortable. I enjoyed the balcony even in the rain. We enjoyed this hotel a lot, mostly for the location. But also for the friendly staff and amenities. Parking was convenient too. If visiting Rotterdam definitely consider this hotel. Rotterdam is awesome spend more than one day to truly enjoy the city. Thanks for the great memories.
