Merel van Dort from The Slaak recommended the Rotterdam Marriott, and even offered to cover the difference in rate. Bonus point #1 to Merel for having done this! I then began working with Demi Vevat at the Rottderdam Marriott, who managed the transition seamlessly. We had a few last minute cancellations, which she also graciously allowed us to cancel. From working with Demi, to checking in, to our overall experience, I have to say the customer service at this hotel is as good as it gets! Everyone went above and beyond to ensure our stay was great! Shout out also to Olaf, who was a gem to work with! The rooms were spacious and clean, the Concierge Lounge had a great breakfast and evening snacks. We had a couple of meetings in there that afforded us a quiet spot to meet. The proximity to the train station is PERFECT, and the ability to walk to many places is easy. HUGE room, a gorgeous pool, adequate fitness room, and a HOT sauna! Great bar. Nice pours of wine for $3.50 E. Staff is super friendly, downtown is a 10 minute bike ride away and the front desk has maps. I will ALWAYS stay here when I stay in Dordrecht from now on. The restaurant is fabulous as well, but portions are very large so be careful not to over order. Menus are available in English.

The owner (Nadja) arrived late afternoon and served a homemade Gin & Tonic from the hotel bar (also quite cozy). The most amazing G&T ever made with specialty local Gin and tonic water and a story to cap off the experience. She offers G&T mixology classes there as well. Not sure if Hotel Bliss is five star rated with Trip Advisor, but the service and experience is a 10 in my book! Worth a trip to Holland and the city of Breda for the "Bliss"!

Tv had many international channels. Bathroom was convenient, but my shower changed from warm to cold and back to warm water continuously. I signalled this to reception to have it fixed, but unfortunately nothing was done. Breakfast buffet was excellent! I'm a big fan of fresh fruit and was happy to find fresh pineapple, watermelon, melon, mixed fruit salad... Besides a choice of bread rolls, eggs, bacon, sausages, fresh vegetables, Dutch bread sprinkles, etc the hotel also served "poffertjes" - a type of small pancakes you eat with butter and sugar. Wonderful! I had a pedicure at the Spa downstairs and was happy with the service. In general the staff was friendly and helpful.
