Last time, we had our basement updated to a great bar and movie room. This time, we had Dan tackle our outdated fireplace, painting throughout the house, and two bathroom updates. Next time, if we decide to finish out the unfinished side of our basement or update our kitchen, we will definitely call Dan. In short, he can be counted on to do anything. He's responsive, friendly, and well priced. He may not be the least expensive, but he's certainly not the most expensive, and he and his crew do great work. They are respectful of your timelines and your space, and their final outcomes are impressive. I would recommend Dan for anything that needs doing. Dan and his crew are great!

I can't recommend him enough and have already sent several of my close friends his way! When we bought our house 5 years ago, we immediately recognized that the untouched basement had unlimited potential, and started dreaming of all of the possibilities. Finally this spring, we got quotes from 3 different contractors. Dan's price was reasonable and definite, and he showed that he wanted the business and could do the job. I was nervous that the basement wouldn't live up to my high expectations, but we took the leap of faith. I am SO GLAD we did. The job proceeded on schedule and on budget (at least on Dan's side - I went a little overboard on some of my choices of materials). Dan's employees and subcontractors are all polite and professional. Especially Pete, who I think is both an incredible carpenter with unmatched workmanship and also just one of the nicest, most caring guys you will ever meet. Dan and Pete brought my vision of a little Mouse House/Harry Potter nook under the stairs to life based on Pinterest photos and our shared drawings. We also did a secret room with a trick bookcase. Everyone who sees these rooms now is beyond impressed and wants to know my contractor's phone number. As a detail-oriented person (and an attorney), I had tons of "punch lists" and questions along the way. Dan received every single one of them with a smile and a positive attitude, which was so reassuring and made the whole experience so pleasant for me. He even welcomed my lists as a good way for us to stay in communication and keep track of all of the details. Ultimately, the job was completed in July of 2018, and I am thrilled to say that my basement dreams came true, exceeding all of my high expectations. All of the workmanship is top quality - the lines are straight, the cabinets are perfectly aligned, the doors are level, the electrical and plumbing and drywalling is all done right. If I find anything that needs to be adjusted, I know Dan will handle it. At this point, the only thing left for me to do is pay off my home equity loan and then hire Dan to update my upstairs kitchen and bathrooms. I can't wait.

I needed deck repairs and after several disappointing discussions with well known big name contractors/companies who decided I would be best if they tore it down and built a new more modern deck at a price I couldn't afford. But then I heard about Ground Breaking Homee Remodeling LLC, who responded to my call immediately and came within a couple of days to see what I wanted done. Without discussing other companies or costs, he first started telling me what he would recommend, which would be cost effective but at the same time, repair, modernize and improve the look. I liked what he recommended but he in no way pushes his ideas on the customer unless he feels it is best for safety, longevity, etc. He listens to his customers and he truly wants to please them with the job he and his staff provide. I was so pleased that I asked him about other home repairs and projects which he provided estimates for and I moved forward with those as well. I intend to hired Mr. Jerome McCoy and his staff to do more projects on my home for the following reasons......to name just a few: He is honest; If he says what he can do, he means it - he can really do them (not like contractors who say they can but then have to look it up on the phone to find out how to do the job), he is very particular with the outcome of the project, he is very knowledgeable, will provide estimates (again which some say they will do but don't) he arrives when he says he will, and he is very professional and very pleasant to deal with. I rank this businessman and his company with all the stars available. Give him a chance at what your home needs; I think you might become a regular customer as well. Quality work at reasonable prices!!!

The owner went above and beyond to address the concerns of my mom, who can be very particular in her concerns. The crew was polite, efficient, and they kept the work area tidy. Overall, the crew reflected the excellent customer service modeled by their owner. The workman ship was outstanding. There was a big gate needed for the back driveway that was going to be difficult for anyone to engineer. They installed it to the best of their ability, but the owner drove by and saw it and he wasn't satisfied with how it looked, so they re-engineered it so that it looked better while maintaining functionality, ALL FOR NO EXTRA CHARGE! This company was extremely competitive in their pricing. The customer service and quality of workmanship is top-notch. The high quality of character in an owner who would come back to correct a completed project because it didn't meet his criteria is simply unheard of. I would enthusiastically recommend this company to anyone.
