I took my car to them because it wouldn't go into reverse and it was shifting in and out of gears in forward. After having it for a couple weeks, he said it was the transmission control module and would be about $1000. He replaced the transmission control module, but it was still doing the same exact things as when I brought it in. He then told me I would also need a new transmission for another $5-8000! I told him I couldn't afford that and he told me I would still have to pay the almost $1000 for the transmission control module, even though it didn't fix the problem! I asked him to remove the new part, since it wasn't the problem. He refused and refused to release my car until I had laid the $1000! Dishonest!!! Don't take your car there! read more

Had my transmission rebuilt at Apostolo's Transmission and they did an awesome job! I kept my 2001 Honda Civic with a bad auto transmission for 7 years in the hopes of making it run again. I researched about good tranny shops in Conroe and I came accross Apostolo's transmission. I'm mechanically inclined with cars but I dont know a lot when it comes to transmissions so I wanted to go to a real professional to get it fixed. I removed it from the engine and brought it to the shop. The price they charged me was very reasonable and they finished the job quick. I paid with credit card that time and Dail even saved me money by trying to waive the fees that their card machine charges. They are very honest and the quality of work was superior! Had them "rebuild" a couple of TH400 transmissions for me. Started puking trans fluid from the top of the dipstick tube. NO, the vent tube wasn't clogged..I took the transmission pan down and discovered that they didn't put any "O" rings in the pickup tube, which leads me to wonder if they did anything to the transmission at all. Such a simple problem should NOT have been overlooked, especially when they charged 1600 dollars for the "rebuild". On top of that, I asked them to paint the transmissions for me. They said they ran out of paint so they had a can of bad paint they used on it instead and it never dries. Come on, there's an auto parts store RIGHT NEXT DOOR to the place plus a hardware store as well. You're going to tell me that you were too lazy to just walk 20 feet to buy another can of paint with the 1600 dollars I gave you...Completely unprofessional if you ask me. read more
