I'm both surprised and dismayed by the reviews and rating on Marco's shop. I've been ripped off by…read moreseveral mechanics in this area, including some mobile mechanic named John Newman (don't ever use him, if he's still slinking around). Marco, nor his mechanics are among them. They fixed the AC work that Newman screwed up, and even replaced the radiator that Newman destroyed for cost of parts. It's been over a year, the AC is working as well as one could expect from a 2008 Ford that's been repaired probably 10 times over it's 213k miles. More recently, my wife was in a wreck and they totaled her car. A friend talked us into buying a car with a blue title, and it's been a nightmare ever since. Marco and his his replaced the front end parts, then the AC went out, so they did that, too. All together, it's been about $6k in work. If you've ever dealt with a rebuilt car, or tried to have one fixed after extensive body damage in a wreck, it's not an exact science, which is why insurance companies total cars out so quickly. Better to just pay you for your damages vehicle, than spend (probably) way more than that, trying to get the broken parts replaced and the vehicle behaving like it should. Well, we've had to take the car back to Marco a couple of times, because the steering column kept slipping and the AC clogged. They have never asked us for another dime and they've done everything they could to support the work they've done. I'm not only incredibly happy with Marco and his crew, I trust them, as mechanics, no reservations; and I would recommend them without hesitation. People expect mechanics to be magicians, and they're not. When cars break down, or get destroyed, or whatever, sometimes it's a simple fix with little room for error. When it's big stuff, things happen. In all of my experiences with this shop, they're good at what they do and they'll stand on their work.

Went to go make a claim with them and said they had and would not give me a refund. Wouldn't recommend as they've done this with other cars before

Just my experience…read more.. I had my diesel one ton vehicle towed to Quality Auto Repair the evening of February 7th to see why I was occasionally having issues with my car starting. I talked to Barton and let him know about the start-up issue, I wanted brakes checked, and oil leak checked while it was in the shop as I didn't want to be without a vehicle too long, since I work way down Louetta. Barton said brakes needed both back calipers, all four brake pads, and all four rotors turned. Cost over $700 bucks. Barton said I needed an o-ring and gasket for a turbo leak. I said, "Sounds expensive." Barton replied "it's relatively inexpensive." When I questioned him about that "relatively inexpensive" comment Barton stuttered and told me he was in the middle of giving a quote to someone for a new motor and compared to the cost of a new motor it's nothing. I let him know that to me, it is expensive. Mechanics at Quality Auto Repair couldn't find why my car would not start and suggested it was an after factory remote problem. (Weather was seriously cold and I have an after factory remote start installed by CC Plus Trucks, Guns and Ammo. I have no complaints with their work ethics) Quality Auto Repair called and said Daryl was replacing gaskets and that he discovered I needed a pedestal due to a leak and that singular part was over $700. Barton called on 2/10 and told me my car was ready. My daughter started the car and she noticed immediately the motor/exhaust did not sound right. (She's been riding in the car since she was in the womb) She called my cell to tell me something wasn't right and sure enough the motor and exhaust were NOT sounding right. We returned my car to Quality Auto Repair the very night we picked it up. Daryl then called a few days later and said when they repaired the gaskets the pipes were spring loaded by 1"& 3 quarters and he couldn't get it back together because he didn't have long enough arms or a high enough reach. He went on to say I have two pipes and this one for exhaust, and there's two clamps on it and it's not even a factory exhaust (Auto Pro installed over 15+ years ago. Never an issue) he went on to say there's no catalytic converter on it, and that someone had "been in there before." And he didn't know how long I've owned the car. I interrupted with "yup, and they did the exact same thing as you except they did not give me back a car with an exhaust leak. You did." Daryl went on to say he would have to cut the pipe and remove transmission to fix the exhaust leak. (Christopher Auto Repair did the previous o ring gasket and pedestal work. No complaints. They have always done excellent work for me. If you're on that side of town I highly recommend them. Irrelevant, but I am the original owner) Exhaust leak was over $1000 to repair. On 2/25 Barton called and said "we have your car ready." I drove a borrowed vehicle to Quality Auto Repair and my daughter was to drive my car home. As soon as we started my car my daughter and I heard a whining sound, and we noticed the power steering, the brakes, and the gear shifter was off. Immediately turned around and parked my car directly in front of Quality Auto Repair's closed bay door nearest to the office. I called (936)788-1688 and left a heated message on their answering machine wanting to know why they can't seem to fix my car and why both times I pick up I have new problems. Barton called 2/26 at 7:45am to say they pulled my car into the bay (Straight drive maybe 20ft) and the car was not doing "anything wrong." Barton said when I brought my car in, the power steering fluid was leaking, got low, and was "messing" with the pump. (Never mentioned a power steering leak) I told Barton "Park it. I'll have someone come pick it up." I called AAA roadside assistance to come and tow my vehicle directly from Quality Auto Repair to Barsh Auto Service where my car was diagnosed and the steering pump installed in about 24hrs. I wasted time and money going here, but I will not make that mistake again. Just sharing the information so that people can make an informed decision.
