They were not the cheapest company that we found, but they were very competitive along with the confidence they instilled through the process that set them apart from the others. When going through our usage history with the utility alongside of our site plan, Brian made specific recommendations to accommodate as many panels as we would need to both maximize production efficiency with a better, and more compact panel alongside an ideal microinverter to keep costs as reasonable as possible. Once we committed to move forward at the end of March, Kirsten and the team were on top of a pre-install site survey and all of the permit applications and approvals with the HOA, City and power utility and everything was approved to move forward within 3 weeks. Installation was promptly scheduled for the following week and the installation crew were prompt, courteous and professional. A couple of installation curveballs came up from the time of the onsite survey to installation and they were able to handle with ease. The final install was very clean and perfectly done. The City electric inspector said verbatim that he wished all of the solar system installations were this well done. I'm not exaggerating that statement in any way. I have had a very positive experience from start to finish with Solar Side Up and will absolutely recommend them to others looking to move forward with Solar. We did the majority of the work ourselves, only contracting out the concrete cutting and actual window install. We had several contractors give us an estimate, and none of them seemed to believe we were capable of prepping and finishing the job on our own and gave us estimates to match. Hal sat down with us, gave us a price for exactly what we wanted, AND gave us tips on how to finish the job on our own. He was hands down the most professional and least annoying, used car salesman type contractor we talked to. His crew did a great job, and the window looks great. Something to consider: A few of the big name window companies contract install work out to Hal. Just call him initially and you'll get the same glass and same quality of work without the mark up.

He and another guy both tried to put it back together to no avail. We had to call shutter company to come fix at a price of $200. So we then called Hal who took offense to him having to pay that and offered to "split the difference " with my husband!!!!!! Why would we pay for something they broke? He said because we got a "good deal" on windows. So unprofessional. We did not let that happen & we took the $200 off the price of the last window that was mis-measured and had to be reordered. Then after the last window was installed I asked for our warranty from Hal. Never got one, called three times and each time he said he'd handle it and was quite curt with me each time. I finally called Anlin myself and got one sent to me. Beware as he will call you when he is owed money but after that you never receive any response back. Zero customer service!

He gave me a military discount, had no difficulty digging a trench to run CAT 6 cable in a conduit to the garage, provided top notch tech equipment, installed the cameras, and hard wired the TV in half-a-day.
