Although we did not purchase a car through Apollo, I can tell you that my experience was unlike any other car dealer I've worked with in the past. Joe, one of their sales representatives, was very down-to-earth and helpful from the minute he answered my first phone call. He was very responsive to both emails and phone calls and was completely upfront about the buying process and Apollo's warranties. The particular car we almost purchased ended up not meeting Apollo's standards. This is what really impressed me about this company - they could have easily sold us a car knowing there was a major defect. I would advise anyone interested in buying a car from this dealership, specifically from the salesman, Ed.... to never do it! I had originally given Apollo Auto 4 stars when we bought a vehicle in February 2026, however, we have had major issues with them since then- they promised to take care of something prior to buying the car and now 4 mos later either they don't respond to calls or emails, or out in out lie about looking for the part, and say they'll get back to us and don't. It's just a blatant disregard for us. It's crazy cause we have the text history with them telling us they will deliver on their promise. We will be making a formal complaint against this business. I don't change vehicles very often and when I do it always stresses me out. Buying from a dealer is high pressure, Buying from Craigslist I found people will not be truthful about the condition or history of what ever they are selling. When I found a Ford Edge on CL that was for sale from Apollo Auto Sales I was sceptical. Use care Salesmen have a stereotype. When we pulled up the car was in front all shined up. It looked better then the add. It was priced very reasonable, It drove very well and I really liked it. In buying the car things went fast and smooth with tax and registration being the only charges added on. But it is not a perfect world. The next morning I had a puddle of oil under the car. Knowing that a used car with 156,000 miles had no warranty, I called Basem anyway to see what he could do. He said he be take care of it. Just to keep this longish story short, the car went to my mechanic and then to Apollos mechanic. He gave me a ride home while it was in the shop over night and offered to pick me up to get the car when it was fixed. The car right now has no leaks and I love it. But the point of this review isn't the car. It's that Basem, Apollo Auto sales is an honest used car dealer who cares about his business and by default his costumers. He didn't have to pay to get the car fixed or give me a ride home. But the fact that he did makes him a Good Person in my book. nice cars to bad I've had issues with mine 2 months after I bought it... MAJOR problems... Ed completely blew me off for an oil change after I was told my oil pan was too rusted, oil leaking from the housing unit, etc... called Ed with no help from him I paid to have that problem fixed... fast forward 3 weeks and now it over heats every time I step on the gas. wouldn't recommend at this point!!! read more

I bought a 2012 Nissan Tundra with my son. The truck had some issues and they were to fix them prior to picking up the truck. The repairs that they did are substandard, hack job welding using rebar and old brackets. never replaced the brakes the correct way, total hack. It has been 6 weeks and we have been waiting for a few parts they ordered by , pony express. I could go on and on but we are extremely unhappy and the mistrust grows daily for this con artist of a used car lot. Do not trust this place to purchase a car or truck, you will be sorry. I am waiting for their head of sales and an owner that is never around to step it up but I feel it will just be one more problem after another. we wish we never bought a pickup from this place. Sold me a vehicle and has a major $5,800 repair within 4,000 miles after purchasing the car for only $12,200. I called Johnathan who sold me the car and he gave me "his word" that they will work with me because this is a bad situation and they are a "family dealership" and work with customers who have purchased vehicles through them. When I went to meet at the dealership Ed had zero intention on giving any sort of assistance and had no information on the situation even though Johnathan said he was going to leave this in "very capable hands" and I said I was coming in on that day. Ed acted like I had the car for over 10,000 miles and treated me like I was a random person off the street and not a customer who purchased a vehicle on a few months prior and less than 4500 miles driven. Very disappointing I spent a bunch of money and received a vehicle that is junk. Ed did not care about the situation. When asking how I came up with the dollar figure for the repair I gave him a complete write up of what was done, tested, repaired, and what needs additional repair and the cost of that replacement. Ed could not take the time to even read this because he claimed it gave him "zero information". Very dissapointed to be screwed out of thousands of dollars and be lied to. Please do not do business with this dealership, they will look you in the face and gladly tell you you are screwed out of thousands of dollars. They will tell you one thing, have you take the time to meet them and then tell you another thing when you arrive. I was even advised by the mechanic who did the initial repair to visit the dealership who sold me the car because it did not even last for a full oil change. I have seen many other reviews describing similar situations from this dealer. Do not do business here. I wasn't looking for them to buy it back or anything like that just for some sort of assistance, but that was too much for them. I had purchased no warranty which is my fault, but being told you will be helped and then told they won't do anything is very disappointing especially when the car has hardly been driven and there is a repair that is 50% of the sale price. I'd like to stress that my 5-star review is assuming other people enjoy a low-key salesman as much as I do -- If you respond better to a super structured corporate vibe, Michael probably isn't the guy for you. I was a huge fan of how Michael trusted me to assess for myself if I should buy a car or not. I showed up interested in a specific vehicle on the lot, he took me at my word: No time wasted with him trying to sell me on a more expensive car that I wasn't there to see. He directly answered the few questions I had, then quickly got me the keys and offered my choice of an independent test drive or one with him. I happily accepted the offer to fly solo, loving that I could experience the ride and absorb the details without someone rattling off specs I've already looked up. I don't Usually post things like this online however I have spent the last two weeks Helping my daughter with a car that she bought from Apollo auto sales in Cumberland Rhode Island. In all my years as a consumer I don't think I have ever been this angry and frustrated, That I feel like I need to warn any potential consumers who may consider purchasing from this dealership.My daughter purchased a car from Apollo auto sales at the end of April this year a 2009 Toyota Corolla. Within the first month the vehicle had a leak which they did repair. Not long after that the vehicle Would not start because the alternator was bad. Upon further investigation we found out that the battery they had in the car was too small for the car and also needed to be replaced. Out of my pocket I paid to fix the alternator and the battery but did go back to the dealership to see if they would reimburse for the battery That was too small to begin with. They offered me $75 of the 110 it cost to replace it. As they did when we purchased the car, they repeated the same thing saying " if you have any other problems, please let us know we back up our vehicles"Shortly after that the car started stalling again and the check engine light was on. We called Apollo Who then advised us to take it to a mechanic they use in Lincoln. At that time we were told it needed a new catalytic converter and that it had been completely clogged... causing extreme heat to be sent back to the motor and melting wires to the motor. That was an additional $700 to repair of which I again did not ask for reimbursement from the dealership. When that repair was finished the check engine light was still coming on. We were then told by the auto repair shop that because the catalytic converter was blocked it had caused damage to the motor and the motor needed to be replaced. That was nine days ago. I reached out to Apollo to see if they meant what they said about "backing up their vehicles". For nine days they have given me every excuse and promised to help out. The calls went something like this.. 1. I need to explain the situation to the owner I will get back to you tomorrow 2. On the next day I was told .. The owner is aware of it they just need a day to think about what they want to do... call tomorrow 3. The next day... "We stand by our cars this is painful for everybody". "The owner is not in call back tomorrow" 4. On the fourth day I asked them if they could offer a car to use while they make a decision of what they are going to offer because I was traveling 100 miles for two hours twice a day to get my daughter back-and-forth to work. Since she works second shift I was out driving from 11 PM to 1 AM to help her out. I was told that would be up to the owner to call back On Monday. 5 . On the sixth day , Monday, I was then advised that they were going to compare prices for labor in motors and get back to me. Again I asked how the vehicle would be moved or if we needed to arrange for a tow.I was told they would take care of everything. 6. On the eighth day they informed me that the cost would be 2300 to fix the vehicle and their offer was to pay $250 towards the cost.. I had asked them to pay half of the motor replacement and I would cover the cost of the other half and the $1000 I had already paid for catalytic converters and alternator. I do not believe I am being unreasonable. But open to hear what others think. Needless to say the total cost of repairs when the car is fixed is over $3,300. And I was not happy that they were offering me less than 10% based on their own commitment to "stand by their cars". Now not only is the cost an issue but the way they handled it and that It took them 9 days of wasting time to tell me that. The car could have been fixed at that point on my dime by then if they had told me upfront. No thank you...I do not need your $250 dollars because that's an insult... anybody or business with any integrity knows that when you buy an $8000 car you should not have to put $3300 into it in less than 6 months. I spent a month looking at used cars every weekend- I'm replacing my lease which gets turned in this month. After meeting with sales agent Steve (who I can't recommend highly enough) I said to him "I wish I had come to you first"- because they do everything right. Cars go out the door clean, registered, and touched up, or they don't go out. I had everything paid and the day I was supposed to pick up my vehicle they called me and said they won't sell it to me because the frame was rotted which I do respect, but they should have had the vehicle thoroughly inspected before they even put it on their lot! I would only deal with Steve from now on if I were to ever buy a vehicle from here which I will not because I had a bad experience. One month ago I paid 17,200 IN CASH for a Honda Accord at Apollo that sometimes starts and sometimes doesn't start. I went back there 2 times in one day to have them look at it. The first time it started every time. A few hours later I took it back down because it started doing it again. Ricardo witnessed with his own eyes the push button starter NOT WORKING. He wants to CHARGE ME TO FIX THE PROBLEM. They should fix it and stand behind what they sell. Next time I will be going to a reliable car dealer. I would have given them NO STARS for paying 17,200 in cash for a car that sometimes works and sometines doesn't but it wouldn't let me. Update...the problem was the starter which cost me a little over $700. I had also forgot to add that they told me at Apollo, Mike AND Ricardo, that my seats were leather when they are not. Great deal, great people, great car. We just purchased a car from Steve at Apollo and the process was nearly perfect. While shopping we got the usual car dealer stereotypical BS everywhere else but throughout the deal with Apollo it was overall a positive experience. We went in on a Friday and Saturday Steve was calling with a message to let us know that he had secured our financing already but would also continue to work the following Tuesday after the holiday weekend to get better terms from other banks if possible, and he later did exactly that. Steve was patient with us as it took a few days to sell our other vehicle that we chose not to trade, and was ready to let us take it within outles of when we were ready. The price negotiations were fair, and their fees were minimal and almost nonexistent in comparison to other places. I was pleasantly surprised at our dealings being a jaded automotive business person myself, but I feel that Steve and the others there went above and beyond. BE AWARE.. SCAM...If you don't want to be ripped off, don't ever buy a car from this place.. Bought a 2007 530i BMW from them, I was assured there is nothing wrong with the car, they arranged shipping and all.. Vehicle comes in, fog lights missing, door panels loose, eninge noises, no heat coming from vents, took the vehicle to the dealer.. vehicle was in a accident.. now it needs over $5000 worth of work just to get it running properly.. called the Manager Steve, wow I couldn't believe they're still in buisness with this guy working there... told me there was nothing wrong with the car when it left and that he is not responsible for anything.. the Sales Person Michael Noonan is another lier, I had to deal with Steve just to get my car, he was nice til they get payment after that they totally rip you off..
