It was just a lucky break that I found out about this FORD Auto Repair facility that opened…read morerecently, our neighbor Colin being the shop manager. They have allot of seasoned mechanics that deal with all makes and models of vehicles. All their staff are friendly and experienced professionals. Hats off to their General Manager - Billy, and Service Advisor/Parts Person/Receptionist - Tara who took the time to chat with me while I waited in their very large Covid Compliant waiting room ( I was the only customer waiting). They offered to shuttle me home and back, but decided to wait as I did not want to put them out. I had gone to a muffler shop to get an oil change and they said we needed a brake service and a new rack and pinion. We refused the new rack and pinion and new brakes but went for the brake service (flush and clean calipers) as this was the third time they mentioned it (had done 3 oil changes there before). When we came to get our car, the bill came to $400. They forgot to do the oil change. I decided not to go back, especially when I heard that others who had gone there had been fed the same hype about needing a brake service which they fortunately refused and found out later their brakes were fine. So when I heard from my son that Ford had opened a new repair facility and that our neighbor was the shop manager, and that the location was only 5 minutes away, we decided to try them out and take our 2.0 Accord ILX there to get that oil change and find out exactly what the muffler shop charged us for. Results: The good news first. Colin found out that because our battery was low (over 3 years old) it was giving false readings indicating a problem with our rack & pinion. The muffler shop mechanic said the front tires had allot of play in them, however that was not the case at all. Once the battery was replaced and a road test done, and retested, the Rack and Pinion passed with flying colors. The muffler shop quoted $4500 just for a new rack and pinion, but Colin and another repair shop we have gone to quoted $2500 installed. CITY2PERFORMANCE did the oil change, and 60 point inspection and except for a new battery, everything was fine including our brakes and rack & pinion.^_^ The bad news. The muffler shop ripped us off, and did a flush that was not needed and the brakes were not serviced and Colin took photographic evidence to show me. The nuts on the brakes needed to service them had not been removed at all ... it was so evident. So the only thing they did was do a brake fluid flush which was not required and actually replaced the air filter as I had asked. Still the question is why they didn't do the oil change when the service oil light was on, yet they replaced the air filter? Need Auto Service and Repair work done? My advice... before you go anywhere else, try out CITY2PERFORMANCE and tell them Ron sent you. ^_^

I as given a quote for four new tires and told that if I dropped the wheels off on Friday morning, they would be done before closing that same day. I dropped the wheels off before 9AM and heard nothing until almost 4PM. I was told over the phone that the tiers should have been at the shop by noon but unfortunately the order was placed incorrectly and the tires would not arrive that day. so my truck sat on blocks all weekend. I call Monday to confirm that work would be done hoping they would be able to give me an approximate time..... I was told they would be done before they close at 5PM. I got the call at 430PM Monday that my new tires had been mounted balanced and were ready to pick up. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BUT THATS NOT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went into Edmonton the next day (Tuesday) and a friend pointed out that the front passenger tire looked low. I could not believe my luck, how could I have a flat in new tires so fast.... just my luck. I filled the tire and got home with out concern. must been a slow leek. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here's where it gets DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I went out Wednesday at 9AM to inspect the tire and see if it had a nail in it or something..... I found nothing. so I took looked at the valve stem..... it looked old ...... so I checked it with some soapy water...... and I found the leak. I checked the other three tires one was really low...... so I check all the valve stems with soapy water..... three of them were leaking air. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THEY SHOULD BE SHAMED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I called the shop at approximately 10AM and asked if the valve stems were replaced with then the tires were swopped and mounted (which is industry standard at any reputable shop). The answer I got was, "did you ask to have the valve stems replaced?". no I did not and I should not have to ask for that, it is industry standard to replace the stems when you replace the tires, it takes 2 seconds and cost $2.00 to the customer. so now I'm upset. I was told i could bring the truck in for 10:45Am that day and they would do 2 of the stem but that even that would be hard for them because they are so busy. I got in my truck and headed to the shop , but on the drive i called a few REPUTABLE SHOPS like TIRE CRAFT and KAL TIRE. i was told that replacing the valve stem was an industry standard practice and not something I should have to ask for..... as I suspected. I arrived at the shop at 1022AM and told the lady at the desk i had four new stems that needed to be replaced "NOW". she said she couldn't do that and I repeated my self.... "I have three leaking stems and I need them all done ASAP, i have a meeting at work coming up and this is something that should have done when the tires were mounted". she just walked away and a min later this man came out looking like I have insulted someone. He stood behind the desk and looked like he was going to intimidate me or something. I explained to him that i had spoken to other shops on way there, and that it was industry standard, that I should not have to ask to have the stems replaced and that I wanted all four done ASAP. I would not take no for an answer. after a few mins of him trying to tell me, it was my fault and that they were to bust to do 30 mins work, and after I refused to be lied and spoken down to I was told to leave. which I did and I will never return. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!THIS COMPANY IS DISGRASSFULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Since we were from Spokane, WA., and needed to get home, this was impractical. The next day we went to visit Mike Schmidt at 17108 107 Ave., and he said they would review the tire situation. Costco had already replaced the regular tire with the spare donut. This they did, and in a few hours, had it fixed "to industry standards" and we were on our way back to Spokane. No problems since. Kudos to Mike and crew. We could not have been happier with their attention and service.

After waiting 45 minutes, I was told "We can't put your winter tires on". I've never heard of such a thing. They said one was a dot 2010 and so I needed 3 new tires. I asked them to show me the law that said you had to replace your tires. They could not...because there is NO SUCH THING! They made this up in order to sell me tires.
