I had an excellent experience at Boswell's which is where I got everything fixed for a fraction of the price. Bill and Tom, the latter of whom is the owner we're super friendly and nice. Tom's wife answers the phone and is polite and courteous. I wanted the job done quickly and efficiently so that I could get my car back on the road otherwise I wouldn't be able to move forward with the rest of my work in business meetings they were very understanding of that and made sure that they did everything to accomplish it and exceeded my expectations I have absolutely nothing horrible to say about them because they're such wonderful folks and apparently they've been in business for a very long time and they know what they do and they're good at it. If you ever find yourself stuck in the area and need car repairs I would have no hesitation to recommend them to anyone

Then the car kept shutting off the day after I went out of town so I told her take it back. The people charged $200 to reconnect the battery!!!! then they ran a diagnostic and claimed she needed $6k worth or work to fix the car. The diagnostic yielded false negatives because they ran the test when the battery wasn't secured! this place is a scam and also cost a friend of a friend $12k in motor damages. If you wanna keep your car avoid this place Or make sure you know cars and are peaking over their shoulder because this gross negligence is either deliberate or just plain bone-headery which is totally unacceptable given the fees they're charging.

I…read moream an Automotive Technician with over 35 years of experience and allowed my wife to take her BMW to Family auto care due to my lack of specialized diagnostic equipment, I expected they would make the repairs my wife asked for, but they found a problem with the drive shaft flex joint and quoted a repair of around $1200 and without her consulting me she agreed to the repair having faith in there service from references of others. I visited the shop when she picked her vehicle up and I asked to see the old part, they supplied the old part and when asked what was wrong with it they said it had cracks in it, I guess they expected me to agree with there diagnostics but it clearly could have gone at least another 150,000 miles based on the condition it was in. this diagnostic would be like telling you to replace your 40,000 mile tires in 5000 miles. The service writer said your wife approved it and I gasped, you think my wife has a clue if they were selling her a repair she did not need. they apparently are not your advacate but are relying on you just agreeing with them and taking it, after all its not their money. Oh come on yelpers, if you want to give 1 star for a place, please have a more legitimate reason to do so. I hate seeing a good business getting slammed by unreasonable reviews like these. I personally recommend this place because it is an honest mechanic shop that offers terrific services at a reasonable price. While waiting for our car to be finished, I've witnessed several customers thanking Mr. Jung for the reasonable price. I've been to the shop several time in the last couple of years, and Mr. Jung was consistently courteous and friendly with his customers. I understand that going to a car mechanic can be a very frustrating experience. In most places, it usually takes very long, and the cost can be very damaging. But this shop is really not that bad compared to other mechanic shops I've been to. Just call ahead to make an appointment, and Mr. Jung will do everything he can to accommodate your needs. Even with negative reviews, this shop still has a 4 star rating. Why? Because the overwhelming majority of the customers were completely satisfied with the services and gave it 5 stars. I think it means something because It is really super rare to see a business getting only 5 stars & 1 stars on yelp. I have visited this shop twice to confirm my "car problems" that were reported on two separate occasions by Midas and Jiffy Lube, both of which gave me an estimated quote in excess of $1000. Both of these times, I came out of Precision Tune Auto Care with a $20ish charge for an oil change. Enough said. I'm really sick and tired of the scamming by car mechanics and to know that I'm at peace of mind when I go to this shop makes it well worth the trip to go out to Clinton to get my car serviced. As for customer service, recently, the owner's son, CJ, offered me food from the lunch he ordered for his employees (Pizza Hut) when I went in to get new brakes. Wow. What car center does THAT??!?!!! If I were to say anything negative.....it's that CJ may give "preferential" treatment to some customers. On my recent visit, a mother of a girl who came out on America's Next Top Model came to get her car serviced. Once CJ saw the model's pic in the mom's phone, he was in full gear: he chat her up like no other, opened the store door for her as she exited, opened her car door, and made 3 customers wait in line for 10 minutes while he chatted with her outside at her car. The daughter was smoking hot. YEP. Beauty goes a long way. YEP. Can't fault him for trying to score points with mum. YEP. Bah. Then, they hand dried it...and told me keep going. As I drove away, I realized, they never vacuumed the car. I called multiple times and no one answered the phone. So, now my car is still not clean. We took a vehicle for Maryland State inspection. They documented 3 "Declined Jobs" 1.stabilizer link right front has play 2.stabilizer link left front///suggested 3. battery hold down. (and a) note: "passenger door does not open properly" We took it to our mechanic who repaired the "Declined Jobs" AS REQUIRED. When we took it back to Ft Washington for reinspection, we were told it failed because the door had not been repaired. HAD FORT WASHINGTON AUTO & TIRE LISTED THE DOOR AS ONE OF THE "DECLINED JOBS" AS THEY SHOULD HAVE, our mechanic would have repaired the door also. When asked WHY they failed to list it as a "Declined Job" the response was "...because we don't repair the door so we couldn't give you an estimate". Again, since they could not benefit from the repair, they caused us GREAT inconvenience! Thus, we strongly recommend you take your vehicle to a Maryland Inspection Station which inspects your vehicle and DOCUMENTS THE INSPECTION RESULTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH MARYLAND STATE GUIDELINES.
