The Charleston store has a boutique feel and is filled with a nice selection of shorts, short sleeve shirts and polos. Many of the clothes have tropical print designs. While the clothes are nice, there were not a lot on sale. There was a small rack of items that were on sale, but it was not very clear as it took up space with items that were regular priced. As a result, I brought up an item to check out initially that was regular price and was lightly scolded by the staff. I did end up buying a pair of shorts here that I liked, but the store experience left a bit of a bad taste. I would consider buying from the brand again, but I will stick to buying online next time. Mostly because there are no locations near where I live on the West Coast.

This place is a whole vibe -- like if freedom, cold beer, and dad jokes had a baby and dressed it in elastic waistbands. The staff? Friendlier than a golden retriever at a tailgate. They sized me up quick, tossed me a pair of shorts that fit better than a saddle on a Sunday ride. I don't know what kind of magic they sew into that fabric, but these shorts are comfier than my recliner and got more stretch than a yoga class for hamsters. They had patterns louder than a honky-tonk jukebox and colors that said, "I'm here to party, but I'll still mow your lawn if you need." Walked out with a couple pairs and the overwhelming urge to shotgun a seltzer on a boat. Bottom line: If your thighs ain't high-fivin' each other in Chubbies, you're wearin' the wrong shorts.
