i read reviews @ expedia before booking this hotel. i must say that the reviews are a bit exaggerated and old (one posted here). my friend lisa was coming from the UK and i'm coming from los angeles USA. i've stayed in the different countries before and this is NOT bad @ all. this place is close to the metro station and the community is nice. a block away are all the small cafes that you can hang out - eat & drink. the room we got was 2 beds and the lobby person, nicholas, was very nice & accommodating. he helped us thru the plugs (that is needed) and if there's anything else that we need. our room was simple - it's 2 twin beds which were comfortable to sleep with. a table and 2 chairs plus a small kitchen (sink, cupboards with glasses/coffee cups, etc,) it was clean and they provide towels and all. if you need more towels, all you have to do is ask the front desk and they'll provide it to you if and when available. i got what i needed and again, everything is clean and yes, the A/C was pretty cold and comfortable to sleep. this is just a small apartment/hotel. nicholas and laureen speaks good english so they can always help you out. please note that not all french people like to smile and it is what it is but these 2 folks are very good with their customer service. ynez, the morning person for breakfast wasn't that cheerful nor accommodating like you'll be stealing breakfast from them. this place is close to the metro if you want take the subway system that they have. we tried it once but for the amount of time travelling to get from one tour to another - i say take uber. the uber is much cheaper than the US. however some of the driver doesn't speak english so you have to use your GOOGLE translate if you have it in your iphone. this is NOT too far from the Eiffel tower and the rest of the important tourist spots. other than that, our stay was pleasant and i would definitely go back to this place when i'm visiting paris (again). read more
