Great location in the Latin Quarter. Close to trains, museums, Notre Dame, and the Luxembourg Gardens. The room was simple... A studio with a kitchenette, and it was perfect. I enjoyed our stay at the Citadines hotel. It overlooked the seine which was a beautiful view every morning and was also close to several essential spots: Eric Kayser, the metro, supermarché, our favorite gratin restaurant, and Samaritaine! It has a slightly dated interior but it does the job for Paris. I don't expect to come to Paris to stay indoors; I treat it as a place to sleep and leave my bags behind. Citadines requires the use of a hotel room key to enter in the hotel at all times of the day. Huge pro in my opinion. The hotel staff was quite friendly as well. Check-in was very easy. The hotel provides free water and coffee/hot chocolate which is great. Our suite came with a kitchen which was nice as we stocked up on desserts from the local supermarché (hubby wanted some of his pudding cups which he used to eat when he was little). The room itself was fairly comfortable. The bathroom was clean and stocked with product. Although, we had to go out and buy body wash because I was not content with the bar of soap they had provided. All in all, we made room to fit our two luggage and shopping bags without any hassle. The TV made for nice entertainment on the nights we returned home early. And the free Wi-Fi was the icing on the cake. I recommend checking out Citadines for your next stay in Paris. read more

The location is the differentiator. Close to the metro, the Pont Neuf bridge, the Louvre, the Orsay, etc and etc. if location is your game this place offers it in spades. This isn't really a hotel. It is a building full of apartments with mini kitchens. There are limited services. They offer breakfast on the 1st floor but it costs 16 euro per person and you can do substantially better at any of the local restaurants located steps away from this place. The staff is friendly but they don't have daily cleaning service unless you pay extra. If you need supplies like toilet paper towels etc sometimes you need to follow up a few times at the front desk (which is irritating). They have a laundromat in the basement that you use and pay for via an app. The detergent is included in the price (5 euro a load). In the room there is a stove top a dishwasher and other basic appliances. They have free espresso via nespresso machines on the ground floor but you need to bring the mug from your room (no paper cups) The area has a lot of bars and restaurants and is touristy but not over the top. The hotel is essentially US tourist central. Brace yourself: this isn't the best deal around and it isn't cheap. The rooms are basic but probably larger than a regular hotel room. The physical plant needs a refresh but... location location, location. read more

We stayed here for 4 nights in a small studio room. Good location, staff is very good but often seemed overwhelmed with so many guests, massive piles of luggage, kids running around and even some dogs. My impression was that most guests were large family groups or groups of 20/30 year olds sharing the same apartment. For 4 nights our room wasn't serviced (I'm not sure if there was a choice to pay extra), if we needed a roll of toilet paper we had to wait in line at the front desk. There is a garbage shute at the end of the hall. Room needed some maintenance. Phone didn't work so we had to go to the front desk, wait, to report issue. Very little water pressure in the shower and there were issues with the drain in the sink. Our room was quiet and the ac worked well. I doubt we'll stay here again but I want to stress how good the front desk staff was in a difficult job. read more

Location, location, location!!! Pros- Great hotel right on the river. Definitely worth getting the room with the view. You could see Norte Dam and the Louvre. Staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful. Daughter loved the all you drink espresso/hot chocolate machine. We had the suite with 2 rooms and full kitchen. I think it came out to less then 300 a night. Perfect for a family Of 4. Also free WiFi. Cons- carpets and furniture were worn down and the shower pressure was horrible. Also Bring your own shampoo and soap. Besides that definitely worth the money and you cannot beat the location. read more

Metro (St Michel-Notre Dame) and major tourist attractions (Notre Dame, Louvre, Latin Quarter) all within 10-15 minute walking distance right along the Seine. Hard to get lost. Secure facilities - the front doors/elevators won't operate without card entry. Friendly and helpful english speaking staff. Free water/coffee all day. Free wifi! We had a 1 bedroom (double) with pull out sofa that became 2 twin beds. Shower/toilets were clean. Kitchen fully stocked with cooking utensils, plates, glasses, cups, microwave, stove, mini fridge, and a dishwasher. Daily empty of trash/clean towels and makeup of beds included. Full cleaning available every 3 days. Laundry is available to do yourself - tokens can be bought at reception. Breakfast is available as well for 7€. Having an apartment style hotel helped with saving some Euros on meals out - mainly we cooked breakfast from items at the local market, again walking distance from hotel. Would recommend a stay for your visit to Paris. read more

Stayed here for a night recently and loved this hotel. Great location, basically right by Pont Neuf. My sister and I went out for a walk late at night and felt very safe. Friendly & knowledgeable staff, great service, and awesome rooms. The place is very secure. Elevators can only be accessed if you have a room keycard. The rooms were large and had everything we needed, including free WiFi. I would definitely stay here again, the next time I'm in Paris! read more

Convenient location that is close to many sightseeing spots. Our hotel for 4 people was rather cramped--2 people slept on the queen bed while the other 2 had to sleep in pull out beds in the living room. When the beds were pulled out, it was virtually impossible for us to find any space to sit around. Breakfast is pricey at €16 per person and not worth because there's hardly anything to eat. Some scrambled eggs, small variety of meat and some croissant and sweet bread. Where's the bacon? The pancakes? The omelette maker? Very stingy for €16... Finally, the service of the hotel staff at the end was terrible. Long story short, the person who checked us in at the beginning had told us something else and when we checked out, the guy told us we had to pay more money. We were confused. When we questioned him, he told us loudly and over and over again that he was correct. And he had the stupidest smug smile on his face. Why TF did he think miscommunication was funny? He never apologized and instead blamed us and talked to us slowly, like we didn't understand him or that extra money was no problem. Note to you: having to pay more money than expected is NEVER funny, especially when you're looking at us with a slight smile on your face like this isn't your problem. Citadines, you seriously need to work on your customer service. read more

I was in Paris in June for the first time. Went there for the Euro Cup. This hotel is located in the district of Saint Germain which was absolutely my favorite in Paris. It is so cute, there are restaurants and bars steps from the hotel. Since our biological clocks were off, I remember going at 2am for food around the city. Very safe, the Creperies are all open. The hotel is walking distance from Notre Dame Cathedral. Its a little bit of a further walk, but we walked to The Louvre. We also walked to the eiffel tower to the fan zone but this was a very long walk. The metro and the RER are walking distance from hotel. From Charles de Gaulle Airport to the hotel its about 30-40 mins. The cab drive should cost 55 Euros. (a taxi driver tried to charge us 150 Euros!!!!!!!! so do ask before you get on how much they plan to charge you). On the way back, we just took the train RER B to the airport. we paid 1.80 euros each (but i think we bought the wrong tickets by mistake... i heard it should be around 10 euros). If you are trying to save money you can take the train to the hotel but we didnt do this because we were not comfortable with the train system yet. Also, if you are going to the Euro Cup, the RER B is the same one that takes you to Stade de France. Ask, ask, ask where to go, and follow the blue feet paintings on the floor...... we didnt ask, didn't notice the blue feet on the ground, and got on the wrong train, and were late to the game. Otherwise, it was a fantastic experience!! read more

We stayed here for 5 nights and had a wonderful time. Its a central location to restaurant and shops, and very reasonable prices. Don't pay for the breakfast, but instead walk around the block to the bakery and grab a baguette and cafe. Good night life (wine bars and sidewalk cafes) close by if you can stay up late enough after all the walking each day. Great hotel and wonderful service at the front desk. You may want to think twice about taking the train to/from the hotel though, as it could be more than a few blocks with luggage. Enjoy! read more

This hotel's best feature is its location. Within a few minutes walk to Notre Dame and the Louvre. Metro station within two blocks will get you wherever else you want. Also a lot of restaurants, cafés and shops in the area. The staff of the hotel was friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself however is in need of a makeover to get more stars from me. The paint, flooring are very worn and the hotel shows a lack of maintenance. They also placed us on the first floor immediately adjacent to the elevator where everyone came for breakfast early so we endured a lot of early morning noise. This hotel was overpriced, at $290 per night, for what we received. Were it not for location they would have only received two stars from me. read more

POSITIVES: The best thing about this place is the location, it truly is in a great spot. Close to Notre Dame and the Louvre, tons of places to eat or to just go for a nice walk along the Seine! In addition to the location the kitchens and baths are pretty updated. NEGATIVES: This place is in desperate need for some updates, starting with getting off the elevators and the hallways and carpet look scuffed up and in need of a good cleaning. The living room couches which double as a bed look dated and dingy. The same goes for the carpet in the room. The rooms are pretty spacious but the bed was extremely uncomfortable. And while I could have dealt with this stuff because we were not in our rooms much the tub drain was clogged up so every time I ran the sink faucet the tub made noises and smelled of sewage...ugh! And you have to fill out paperwork by 10am and walk it down to reception if you need it fixed the same day, not my ideas of good customer service. Next time in Paris back to The Westin! read more

Do not stay at this property. One of our rooms developed a leak most likely coming from either the toilet or the bathroom sink. This leak began on day one of our stay and by day 5 the hotel still had not addressed the problem. This room is occupied by someone who is recovering from cancer and of course it is common knowledge that mold spores can be deadly in this type of person. The people at the front desk were not helpful indeed they were rude. They did not care that the condition of the room could cause harm to the occupants. Again do not stay at Citadines St Germain Des Pres. You would be better spending a bit more elsewhere. The carpet was wet from the front door into the front closet and leaking into the hallway. The smell was moldy and rank. The carpets are stained with old food. read more

I really enjoyed this hotel, fabulous location right on the Seine, I was able to walk everywhere but St Michel metro is nearby too. I loved having a kitchen and making my own breakfast, although studio was small, wouldn't call it an apt. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful and there were always 2-3 people available. They use card keys which you hold onto so no stopping at desk all the time like other Parisian hotels. They only do housekeeping once a week unless you pay extra and their bath towels are thin, which is what held me back from giving 5 stars. Still I would happily stay here again. read more

Decent breakfast and amazing coffee machines in the lobby 24/7. Right in front of the seine river, and steps away from AMAZING coffee shops, food shops and restaurants. Also steps away from Norte dame. Would highly recommend the place. The only reason I give 4 stars and not 5, is because the room I had had a terrible view of the back. stayed at this hotel on my first trip to Paris with le boyfriend. * LOCATION IS SO GOOD. you're not in touristy latin quarter and you're basically blocks away from the Pont des Arts. street is pretty quiet at night despite the fact that you're right on Quai des Grands Augustins. * ROOM WAS AWESOME. small bedroom, adequate living room, small kitchen, separate toilet and shower. this place is SUPER clean - it's an "apartment hotel" so the kitchen is a good addition. we only used our room to sleep in because we were out frolicking and gawking at Paris' beauty all day. served its purpose well. * COMPLEMENTARY ESPRESSO/COFFEE/HOT COCOA. hello. best thing ever. when you're out walking 12 hours everyday to marvel at the sights, nothing is better than having fresh espresso every morning to slap you awake. * SERVES BREAKFAST. we did this ONCE when we didn't have time to sit somewhere for food. the spread was decent: ham, sliced cheese, an assortment of bread, eggs, waffle maker, fresh fruits, etc. * BEST CONCIERGE. the people working at the desk are AWESOME. very helpful. i don't speak french and neither does my boyfriend so when we had to call a number to confirm certain reservations, the front desk was more than happy to do it for us. * GIVES YOU ADAPTORS. this may sound like a small thing but i thought that it was thoughtful on their part. they have this small cube which basically has EVERY SINGLE PLUG ADAPTOR for main countries. how freaking awesome??? i'm definitely staying here the next time i'm in Paris. xoxo read more
