He proceeded to yell in my boyfriend's face and scream that we were trying to rip him off because we were college students trying to give him a check. We even went as far as to show him the money on the account so he knew we had it there but he was completely unreasonable. He threatened to hit my boyfriend multiple times so we called campus security who made the man leave, but he did not leave without taking my car with him. He refused our form of payment because we were college students and he thought we were going to rip him off. He was very solemn when we went to get the car back because he knew he was unreasonable and had no reason to act like that towards customers. DO NOT EVER USE MARCOUX he is a danger to the general public because he clearly cannot control his behavior. There are much better places to go just do not use this guy.

I went to get my car inspected at the Autosmith the other day. Not because I heard good things…read more(just the opposite), but because I was feeling lazy and the Autosmith is close. They inspected it right away, and found that I needed new springs in the front--they said mine were broken. Their two options to fix the issue would have cost me approximately $615 (the "cheap" option) to $665. Well, folks, Tracey Phelps doesn't have $700 kickin' around, so I got a second opinion. My boyfriend, Jake, took a gander at the springs and being a car guy, noticed that the springs WEREN'T BROKEN AT ALL. The paint was peeling off, but otherwise totally fine! He then told me that the Autosmith tried to rip him off in the past and that I should head over to Bob's Auto in Essex. All in all, it cost me $65 for an oil change and inspection at Bob's Auto, as opposed to ten times that at Autosmith for work that I didn't even need. I know Autosmith is trying to expand and pay for their new stuff, but can they give their neighbors a break? I can't afford to pay for your new shop, and neither can most of us in this cruddy recession.

I was glad to see they found an issue in my front end (go figure with the wonderful roads in VT) while doing the oil change. Thank you again and I would recommend anyone to try them out for fair prices and honest quality.
