A lot of bad reviews on here , I'm a new member here for about a month now that being said I like the gym a lot , it's close by the house 24 hour access never had to wait on equipment even on a busy day The guy jason who works there keeps things very nice and running smooth and also helps anyway he can ... the people that go here also are nice and respectful haven't had any issues , only thing I would mention is I wish they had a few different machines like a peck deck but they have free weights so not the end of the world . It's a great gym really . read more

I filled out a form to ask for a custom membership which they offered. No one ever contacted me about that. In the last two weeks, I have received dozens of emails and I have "unsubscribed" to no avail. I have received 42 text messages even though I typed "stop." I received a survey asking we what was stopping me from joining and I explained the problems, I hit "submit" and it restarted the last page of the survey. Now I am getting constant phone calls that hang up. I called several times and got a recording that they were going to record the call and then it hung up. I finally reached someone there who told me "it sounds like something is wrong with the phone system. I asked him to take me off the phone list and he said he was unable to do that. I asked for the manager and got Jason. He told me that if I didn't like it I could block their numbers. I drove by the gym and it looked like a dirty ghetto place. I would never go to a place that is so broken and with such rude people. read more

Worst gym experience in my more than 20 years in the area. Currrent owner and/or management are unprofessional. Very poor customer service. Save your money and go else where. read more

Terrible service. I came in on Dec 17, 2025 and paid for 2 days of gym use while I was in Ormond Beach and was told I could only come in between 10 and 5. I showed up at 3:20 and called multiple times and nobody was here so I couldn't get in. Very frustrating. read more

Been a member of Anytime for 5 or 6 years, I have tried several locations and this one is my favorite. Not a big place, but if you are a moderately experienced lifter you will recognize a outstanding selection of machines and equipment. Rogue, Hammer Strength, and Life Fitness equipment. Deadlift deck. 3 power racks. Dumbbells up to 120 pounds. Bands, chains, and almost all the core essentials are here. Never crowded and I rarely have to wait for any station. Super clean and the ladies working there (coach and manager) are always smiling and friendly. Best place to go if you want to actually work out and be able to do all your exercises without waiting. read more

Hello, I have been a member of Anytime Fitness in Ormond Beach, for several years. and I always enjoyed my time there. I have not been faithfully going, the past several months, however, as I was suffering from a damaged knee but continued to pay my membership fees faithfully, every month. I have retired recently, on April 30, and moved back to SC, so that my wife and I might be much closer once again, to our children (4 grown children) and grandchildren (7 grandchildren). I joined the ANYTIME FITNESS GYM here in Irmo/Columbia SC region off Dreher Shoals Road. And I was happy to hear that I qualify, age 68, for "Silver Sneakers" membership. I joined Anytime Fitness, here, and following the manager's advice, I phoned the Anytime Fitness in Ormond Beach, asking her to please cancel my membership there. First, she said that I had to come in person, into the store, on Nova Road, Ormond Beach, although I have already moved to Columbia, SC. Then she told me I had to send them a letter of cancelation. Can't she just verify this with the gym here in Columbia area? She refused to cancel my membership, that I have enjoyed in Florida for the past four years. 302 N Nova Rd Ormond Beach FL 32174 Contact Us -- Email or call at (386) 677-8600 At Anytime Fitness Ormond Beach, the support is real and it starts the moment we meet. Fake 30 day promotions listed on their website to try out the gym. When you sign up they just start charging your account and gym staff cannot be found to address the issue in person, on the phone or email. read more

Misleading website. When you click on their website, it states in huge print, "Try Us For Free." It then asks for your information and lets you schedule a date and time at the specified location. When I arrived for my appointment, the manager who came to the door had a very serious (unwelcoming) look on her face. She told me that they don't offer free trials, although it's all over the website advertising. She claims that she contacted me to tell me. However, there was no message, call, or email from them, despite the fact that they had my correct information on the submitted form. Extremely unprofessional. Since I'd driven all the way there, I decided to take the tour. I had to sign a disclaimer just to look, even if I wasn't going to use the equipment. The manager seemed indifferent which I thought was strange. It left me with a very bad impression so I gave feedback on a form on their website. The next day, the area manager, Stephanie Leggett, responded. She claimed that it's stated in the website that they don't participate in free trials. Well, then they shouldn't schedule appointments at the Ormond Beach location in response to "Try It For Free" which pops up immediately on the website. Then she claimed that the manager called me. If Stephanie wasn't there at the time, then it's inappropriate to say that the manager called me because she has no idea. Lastly, she claimed that the manager was friendly and might have had a bad moment. Having a bad moment is no excuse to make people feel unwelcome when it is literally your job to sell memberships. In the end, I went to different club which did honor their advertising for free trials. They had much better equipment, classes and all of their staff was very welcoming when anyone entered or left their club. Now that's good gym with good customer service. Anytime Fitness could learn from them. read more

I've had back issues for years but have tried to stay somewhat fit but this year after I had been a member for several months I re injured my back to the point that my chiropractor said I need to stop lifting. I took a letter to the gym and they said it wasn't good enough. They want a letter from my primary physician. My primary physician told me I would have to go to a specialist for that. I'm not going to spend hundreds or thousands to prove that I have back issues when my chiropractor is a specialist in this area. The gym said they will turn me into collections if I don't let them continue to debit my account. Well go for it. I have good credit and I'm not paying a bully!!! Stay away from this gym. They don't care about you. Just your money!!!! read more

FALSE ADVERTISING ‼ I was one of the first eight people to sign up and make an appointment for free six week trial at "Anytime Fitness" in Ormond Beach. The appointment was confirmed via text message, and I responded that I am looking forward to my free trial and was glad I was one of the first eight people as advertised to receive the free 6 week trial especially set up for women over 60 as advertised. i received a response text stating they are looking forward to seeing me. Today, I got to the appointment and a female that brought me to an office tells me that it will be $499 to join for the six weeks. I said that the offer is for a free six week trial and she proceeded to tell me it would only be free if I lost 20 pounds in that 6 weeks, which definitely was not mentioned in their Facebook advertisement ad. Needless to say, I left upon telling them they were not truthful and that is false advertising. Please don't waste your time driving and falling for this fake ad and dishonest company. read more

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! Do Not sign up with them! They LOCKED me out and my account is paid up. What an inconvenience for me to drive to the gym and cannot get in. The after hours number is useless because Bonnie refuses to respond or pick up. I had plans on canceling my month to month membership and go to LA Fitness, and this confirms. I've called on 3 separate occasions and no one calls back. I went into LA Fitness for a day trial and the customer service alone won me over. Not to mention the variety. I cannot believe I'm locked out! I'm soo frustrated. I would grade them a 0 but had to choose a number. Rude and unprofessional! I canceled my membership and can't wait to go to Gold's Gym or LA Fitness. Horrible Service!! read more

The new club owners Bonnie and Luca have made several changes over the last few months since taking over. They've eliminated and updated numerous pieces of equipment around the gym. Demolished walls to open up more space for several new pieces of leg equipment and added fresh paint on nearly every wall. This is definitely one of the bigger Anytime Fitness locations I've been to. There are several flat screens around the gym, wi-fi, along with numerous cardio options. New purple turf has been added in the functional room, along with kettle bells, punching bag and more. Very impressed with the new equipment selections and dollars getting invested into this location. You can tell the new owners really care. Highly recommend checking them out. read more

I have recently attempted to cancel my membership at this club. I have always opposed the "special fee" they assess on a regular basis, as I recall for "club improvement" (shouldn't that be part of the normal cost of a gym) and their recent assessment sent me over the edge. Their monthly fees and this special assessment makes them one of the most expensive clubs in town. I've was in the fitness industry for years and I'm reluctant to give credit cards for payment because of the horror stories I've witnessed with clubs charging members. So I pay a higher amount to go month-to-month but I don't have to worry about the club getting into my bank account or credit card. I finally relented a year or so ago and went ahead with providing a credit card, but the recent sale of the club and the neglect I've witnessed didn't make me feel it was worth the most expensive fees in town, plus the 24hr access really isn't a feature for me anymore, so I decided to cancel and move elsewhere. Keep in mind, when I joined the gym, I never received a copy of the contract, so I was unaware of what their cancellation policy was. I went into the gym FOUR different times during posted business hours over a 3 week period of time to cancel and no one was there. When I finally went when someone was there, it was some district manager from out of the area and she told me I needed to cancel in writing and they would be charging me two more months membership and I could continue to use the club. Since we were already within the first month I told her don't bother, I wont be coming in and I contacted my bank to block their attempt to charge my card for the second month. Just as the gentleman from South Carolina has noted in another YELP review, cancelling with these people is exactly the nightmare I tried to avoid. I caution anyone joining this gym to be wary of their costs, their upkeep of the club (four weeks to replace a shower head in the men's room) and their cancellation policy. They are now pursuing me via phone and mail for their final month payment and I was informed by the Customer Service person (overseas call center) today that my membership can't be cancelled until I pay the final amount. The track this club is on is one I've seen frequently........another club opens nearby (in this case the women's club just down the sidewalk) and pulls a big portion of their client base away (in this case females and moms with kids), club gets sold from the original caring owners to an out-of-town corporation and before long employees or trainers are leaving. Wouldn't surprise me to see them close up within the year. read more

I've been a member for a few months, and I have had nothing but good experiences at Ormond Anytime Fitness. The staff is friendly, the machines are in perfect condition, and everything is cleaned, vacuumed, and sanitized frequently. Most important to me is the free weight area. They have great bumper plates, two deadlift platforms with jacks, good (matching) collars, dumbbells up to around 100 lbs, two power racks, a third rack which can be used for bench, squat, or presses, several olympic bars, a chalk bucket, and great deadlift bars. There are two Rogue pull-up bars, plus the power racks have pull-up handle grips. Also they have an assisted dip/pull-up machine. They have lots of bands, and one of the deadlift platforms is fitted for bands if you want to do banded pulls. They also have a whole room that I generally use for mobility that has a heavy bag, ab rollers, and aerobic-type dumbbells. This gym has been perfect for someone like me who comes in with a plan and just wants to get in and get out, but I've watched the trainers and they do a great job at coaching the major lifts, which I really can't say for any of the gyms I've ever worked at. The bathrooms are spotless, and they have a bottle filler and a mini-fridge stocked with protein and recovery drinks, plus bars and cookies and stuff. Their guest policy is pretty restrictive, but that makes sense given that after hours there may not be any staff on the premises. The gym is also relatively small compared with most of the gyms I've been to, but that hasn't been an issue for me so far. I've only ever gone in the mornings, but I haven't had to wait for equipment yet. I highly recommend this gym. read more

Great staff, great equipment and not crowded!

Excellent gym. I've been to over a dozen locations across the country this is one of the best locations. Great blend of machines vs. Free weights. Large parking lot, safe area NEXT to a really nice park. Luxury style bathrooms and showers, super clean. Not overcrowded, great gym for any level of fitness goals read more

Was very surprised to see the type of reviews on this app. As a frequent user of yelp I felt obligated to step in and write a review which I never do unless I get worked up! I was a professional athlete and used this gym in my offseason for my offseason workouts. This gym does have a high average age, but Ormond Beach is a city that has an average medium age. This gym is not large... but it has all the necessities to accomplish anything you are trying to achieve. As for the management... these people own this establishment and it's their baby. Every day I walk in(and yes for certain month out of the year I'm a regular) they ask me how my dad is going and truly want to know who you are a person. 1. Because they care 2. Because they want to know whose coming to their place of business I searched other local gyms in the area and this place is the cheapest(not Including student discounts). It gets a little more populated in the AM/PM and are filled with people that know what they are doing and not know what they are doing. As for the reviews about keys and hours.... this gym is open 24 hours and if you have a membership they give you a certain key to unlock the doors to get in. I'm sorry, but this establishment of business does not deserve the ratings and reviews I read on here. read more

I tried going here for a few months and the staff was very rude and not very friendly if your under 50 years old. The staff walks around looking at you like you stole something. I don't suggest this gym to anyone who's not on social security. read more

I have been going to the Ormond Beach Anytime Fitness for a couple of years. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The place has just been redone with new carpet, paint, etc. It is a small gym but not overwhelming like some gyms. It is great to be able to go in anytime you want. I am about finished with a personal trainer, Tina. I needed strengthening on my upper body and going twice a week. She knows her stuff. She has showed me lots of exercises plus also helping with all parts like my legs. It is not over crowded and can always get to a machine. I would highly recommend this place. read more

we came in town from taylorsville kentucky really early. i had my 17 year old daughter with me. it was too early to check into the hotel, and it was getting hot outside, so i decided to hit ormonds anytime fitness. my daughter isnt a member, so when she came in with me. she used the bathroom, then sat in a chair out front for about 10 minutes, maybe 15 and went back into my jeep and went to sleep. later that day i got an email from ormonds owner or manager saying i could not bring guests in the gym since i was from out of town. well, check your cameras, she just sat there, doing nothing and bothering nothing. i cant even believe you waisted my time with that. anywho, the gym is clean, lots of equipment, some stuff needs attention like the bar that you use to do lat pull downs. i tried cleaning it so it wouldnt be so slick, but its just oily and its time has come. minor issue. not a deal breaker. i would have given it 4 stars, but the petty email set me off. can you tell??? read more
