The staff here are horrible. Especially Lauressa and the manager. I have never been treated with less professionalism or customer service in my life! I was treated rudely by Lauressa and asked for her name and the phone number of the owner and was given the phone number to the gym instead. The manager then told me that I had "bad energy" and that I needed to find another place to work out and that he was canceling my membership! I never had one interaction with staff or any members and when I was unhappy with Lauressa's interaction with me on 2 occasions, I was pushed out of the gym! What happened specifically you may ask? Well, I parked my car in your parking lot, went inside, worked out, took a shower and returned to my car. I was in my car browsing Facebook before I left when she came out of the door quite literally yelling at me through my window, despite the fact that I had had no contact with her throughout the night. She told me I couldn't be in "her parking lot" which it apparently is. I told her, "okay, I have a membership, I'll just come back and check in". Problem solved, yes? Nope, She told me I had already checked in and exited and so I was not allowed to renter the facility. Repeatedly harassed by extremely short desk clerk without cause over the course of 2 visits

We go to the Westerville/Huber Village location and love it there. We normally go between 10am - 12pm, during the week. It's never too crowded. The staff are friendly and helpful. I love the fresh flowers in the women's bathroom-nice touch. The place is always spotlessly clean. The machines aren't all broken down and worn, most look new. The massage chairs, incline aqua massage bed, and flat aqua massage beds are a dream and have become my new best friends. I hate to exercise and sweat, but, the little extras keep me coming back. Plus, just a little over $20 per month for the Black Card membership is a pretty good deal. read more

I like the gym itself, HOWEVER don't believe the photos the owner has posted, those fancy machines are not there, just regular treadmills and there is a "port" you have to plug wired headphones to listen to the TVs that are on the wall. There are all the awful news stations, Food Network, and sports. Nothing interesting to watch. Just a bunch of fluff and junk. One TV should be a nature show, or something learning. A home improvement even! There are 2 great employees and the rest are useless. Nobody helps you learn a machine, "scan the QR code and watch how to use them on your phone! What if you don't have a smart phone? I never see any employee cleaning equipment, now they make us wipe them down, which is a total waste of resources. They must go through loads of paper towel products which are filling the landfill. So basically the employees just stand behind the counter. first time coming on here writing a bad review never been one to write reviews about places but with the employees that they have working there i'm coming to tell you this is a horrible gym to go to. I was there with my boyfriend he was told he could not work out with his sandals on after already working out there for two hours, which we had no problem with leaving as we were wiping off the machine to leave. My boyfriend turned to me and said "that lady didn't have to be so rude about it" as she was nowhere close to us she turned around screaming. I am visiting family in Ormond and went to this PF today. I have zero complaints and just wanted to put out a nice review for this location. The front desk attendant couldn't be any nicer. He was keeping things in order and even came to find me when the hydromassage bed was available. the machines were all clean and working. People working out were nice and keeping things clean. I moved over to this gym from Golds for something different. The machines and weight areas are clean and well maintained. Plenty of cardio equipment with TV's to watch up front. The atmosphere is very different to Golds and the commercials are not wrong regarding the type that likes this "judgment free" gym. The commercials mention the price $10 basic and there is a $20 black card if you want tanning, massage chairs and water massage bed. The extra also allows you to bring a guest for free daily. The commercials do not mention the yearly $30 fee added. Still the cheapest place. There are no classes since there is no spin room or aerobics room. read more

I am a nomad car traveler and have a Black card for my hygiene purposes. I am speaking only about the Women's Locker Room facilities. I have never seen a crazier and nastier facility. First of all Women's Locker is up a narrow staircase so if you are in any way constrained or disabled don't count on it!! There are 2 small nasty showers and 2 small nasty restrooms. No changing rooms. Obviously not a handicapped facility. I walked right out!! No way was I showering there. If you are like me and don't do steep staircases or nasty Locker Rooms drive on to the next one. Don't waste your time. read more

LET THE BUYER BEWARE!!! I had been going to the Planet Fitness Ormond Beach location where Kevin is supposedly the owner for a few years. I signed up for the $10 a month membership and was told they would only use my bank account number to pull the fees directly. They took the fees for a number of years before Sept 2021 when I went in and cancelled my membership to go on the Sliver Sneakers program which would be covered as part of my AARP United Healthcare plan. Things seemed to be fine until recently. In June 2022 I noticed that they were drawing money from my bank account again beginning in March 2022 seven months after my original membership was cancelled. From March 2022 to June 2022 the unauthorized billings totaled about $150. When I questioned it, they said that I had signed up electronically for the Black Card program. This is where it really becomes concerning.... I had a free membership that was being paid by my insurance. I had no knowledge of ever accessing or signing up to anything electronically. Yet money was being automatically withdrawn from my bank account. When I asked how this could happen, they told me that a third party stores the banking information and does the billing for them. I CANCELLED MY MEMBERSHIP IN SEPT 2022 YET THEY NEVER REMOVED MY BANKING INFORMATION FROM THEIR FILES! Very scary to think that someone can take your information without authorization and just start using it again. When I questioned this, the management said that they have an esigned document and there was no possibility for a refund. After numerous attempts to resolve the issue with the managers they said the owner Kevin would call me. He never did and I WAS TOLD HE NEVER WOULD because of the contract they had in their possession that I have no idea how they got. The only thing I can think of is that I had the Planet Fitness App on my phone. Is it possible that I butt-dialed the App and it automatically signs you up for the most expensive program they offer? They then use your bank account number which they never deleted from a third-party database after cancellation to literally steal money from your bank account directly? Wow! They haven't heard the last from me yet. If what I suspect happened, happened, it could be interpreted as an unscrupulous business practice. If it happened to me, and I pay close attention to my bank stuff, how many others are having unauthorized charges taken out. I'm a senior and it may be a senior abuse tactic to generate income from otherwise unaware elderly folks that just want to try to stay in shape. read more

The staff are nice. I can't believe the harsh reviews, considering the price you pay to use the facility. Yes, the gym I worked at was so much better, but it cost $65 per month! Pros: enough types of equipment to get a good workout. There are no Olympic weights, but refer to my comments on cost, setting aside the safety issues. Cons: people sitting on weight equipment for over ten minutes between sets, especially when there are no other similar machines. Staff do not move about the facility to check on people working out. Please, put up a gym etiquette sign! Watch for slackers napping on the weight machines. It's time for an expansion and a few more machines. read more

This is an older location so if busy, expect to wait for machines and floor space. Also, the Black Card area is not very private. The desk staff was nice. BUT I'm giving this a lower rating than normal because the water fountain provided pumps out very warm water. I asked for an alternative or some ice, and I was told to go to McDonald's next door. The staff are literally the most stuck up people I've ever met, I Get It, I look rough when I get off work that doesn't give them an excuse to treat me like a homeless person that doesn't belong. Corona infested "DANGER" run away, you walk in wearing a face mask walk 10 feet to your machine where you can take it off breathe as much as you want and as loudly and expel as much moisture and spit as you like while you pant huff n puff all you want on the machine for well over an hour no problem then when you leave you must put your mask on for the last two breaths you're going to take before exiting the facility..... I've been going to this Planet Fitness location for the past few months (I usually go to the Daytona one). This Planet Fitness is absolutely horrible, the staff are some of the most disrespectful people I have ever met, and the management seems to not care about there rude staff. Last night when working out I was harassed by a Kelley, she approached me and informed to me that my membership was canceled. I told Kelley that I canceled my membership right after I paid for it and my membership was good until the 17th of this month. She brought me to the front desk were I spoke with Nick. Nick began to insist that my membership was canceled and I would not be able to work out. He then told me to go to the Daytona Planet Fitness and figure out whats wrong with my membership, as soon as I left I gave the gym a negative rating (They have a thing by the exit door were you can rate the gym) this made Nick angry and he began to tell me not to come back. I went to the Daytona Planet Fitness and they told me my membership was still active, as soon as I heard that I went back to the one in Ormond and as soon as I walked in the door, Kelley walked to the phone and began to call the police. I then left and decide to speak to management in the morning, I spoke to the manager and began to explain her employees rude behavior. She seemed to not care and even decide to defend there actions. I was appalled and then requested to speak to the franchise owner. As soon as I spoke with the franchise owner I began to understand that the staff were really close to each other and he was already informed about the incident, he began to be very hostile and informed me that I was trespassed from this location and I would not be able to work out here anymore (I wasn't even informed by the manager I was trespassed). I wouldn't recommend anyone to workout here, not just because of the unprofessional, shady staff, the equipment is terrible and I actually had a sit-up machine break on me and the gym is poorly maintained there is a lot of dust and the equipment seems to not be clean. This Planet Fitness Location is Horrible... There employees suck... The owner can suck a fat one... AVOID THESE SCAMMERS!!!! My gf and I moved away after being on a month to month plan. I called to cancel our plans and they said I either need to cancel in person or by certified mail which is ridiculous. I got them to let me cancel by email, and they verified the email address twice over the phone. After sending my cancellation email, I noticed for three months they still billed me after promising it was fine. I spoke with the manager and she was extremely rude about it and said that even though they gave me the wrong email address, that I could no longer cancel through email as I was promised I could and that there was no way to get back the $45 they'd basically stolen from me over the past 3 months.
