Great place to workout! There is plenty of equipment, it's never too crowded and the staff keeps everything very clean.

I'm almost afraid to write such a good review because if the area finds out what a good deal this…read moreplace is, it might fill up... :) I visited this facility last night. Though I am a member of the 34th Street and Mount Vernon Road location, it's nice to switch it up a bit. I was told that this franchise and the Wiley Blvd location are owned by a different entity than Mount Vernon Road gym. It's interesting how a few things are a bit different. I like the upper body machines at this location - they are Lifeline brand. I plan to alternate between facilities just to take advantage of the differences and keep the body off guard. (I lifted at both CR and Marion last night). This gym is clean and the equipment is well maintained. There are even a few products up front that you can buy after hours simply by signing a clipboard. This location does seem to get a little busier at times but at 8:30 PM on a Friday, there were only a couple other people there. If you are able to adjust your schedule, you can often have the gym almost to yourself. :) I really like Anytime Fitness. If you want a low cost membership, clean and well maintained equipment, and are able to plan your own workout, you can save a lot of money and have an enjoyable time.

I did it for the membership and the personal training as training went I found myself getting weaker and found out that I had breast cancer, which caused me to have to stop. I try to let them know about the situation and they said that I made an obligation and therefore I am fully obligated to the full year no matter my situation they are not sensitive to your needs. My son continued his membership, but they completely lied to him about being able to exit with no additional fees and backpedaled on their conversation. They're out for the money. Do not trust this establishment.

Joined for lap swimming. When pool is open, it's usually almost perfect. BUT (and this is a big…read more"BUT") management of the pool schedule is bad. Hours for lap swim posted on their website are usually not correct as pool is not open when hours posted say it is. Was told by front desk people their website is not accurate and I should only use their new 'app' to check hours. So I loaded app and have used that to check pool lap swim hours. Tried to swim on weekday last week. Checked app 2 hours prior and said lap swim open 1:00-5:00 pm. Arrived at 2:10, changed and got to pool deck at 2:15 only to be told "We are closing for 30 minutes from 2:30 to 3:00 today." Today, a Sunday, at 9:00 a.m. app says pool open for lap swim from 10:00-1:00 pm. Arrived at 11:00 only to find out pool is closed due to swim team practice. they are "very sorry" for my inconvenience. This has happened 4 or 5 times in past month. Frustrating to plan my day/week, drive to the YMCA, and show up only to find out pool is not available. Seems like this is happening more and more often in past 5-6 weeks. If only we could know when pool will be available for lap swim. Seems like this should not be that hard to do. Put someone in charge of schedule and posting updates. And, once hours posted, stick to that schedule.

There were some places offering $10 a day pass but didn't have a sauna or steam room. This place had both plus an ice room. Which was more like a really high air conditioning room. Nothing like serious cold. They also had a pool which seemed like only a bunch of old people use. The training area with turf was really nice but if that stop light is red (I posted a picture) that means the trainer is there with a client and you're not allowed. If it's orange you are allowed but to be careful and green it's a free for all. Not many people use it but it has bunch of cool equipment to use there too. The gym had everything and I was only able to find one thing broken which is rare at a gym this big. They also have one of those dryers for your bathing suits in the mens locker room if you do bring a bathing suit for sauna or pool. It's a bring your own towel like most gyms but for such a high gym membership I thought they may include that but nothing I could really complain about this gym except pricing.

The staff are also very helpful in ensuring folks are staying safe while working out. The layout of the machines is very simple so you know exactly where what machine you want is and everyone I saw wiped their area down after each use. We researched a couple places online, Planet Fitness being one of them. We stopped in one evening (during what seemed like their busiest time), and one of the guys working instantly offered to show us around and help us sign up if we wanted. He was super helpful! We got the black card membership, which ends up being less than what we paid at the YMCA, and includes things at PF like tanning & massage chairs. We were always intimidated by the atmosphere at the Y so we never used much equipment. At PF we instantly felt comfortable enough to go try out the machines. They're nice, clean, and no one is judging you. The staff is always super friendly when we go there too. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that it would be nice to have things like a sauna. But overall, we are super happy with our gym switch.

After talking with Albert & David about their philosophy and about the body, I realized they actually DO know about kinesiology and I decided to try a month. It's been 9 months now and I love coming here. My flexibly is better after old sports injuries, I am stronger, and injury free. I send my clients with chronic pain here to complete their wellness and at home care for strength, as part of their rehabilitation. They are professional, knowledgeable, have integrity, and I can trust them with my clients. I have also gained confidence, dropped 20 lbs, two dress sizes, and my legs look fantastic! I want to start by saying I've never given a bad review and went out of my way to create this…read moreaccount just to rate this joint because I'm so frustrated. This place will screw you over with hidden fees every chance they get. It was explained to me that my membership would be 12 months long, after which I could cancel. If you want to do it before then, you have to give a 30 day notice and you will still get charged for the next 30 days (which is already stupid in my opinion but I digress). My 12 month basic membership finished so I put in the request. They STILL charged me $50 for the 13th month (which was useless to me because I moved away). I talked to multiple people on the phone and they were not willing to budge on this. So either I could have waited until my year is up and get charged for the 30 additional days that I can't use. Or I could have cancelled a month early but that would result in an early cancelation fee. SO EITHER WAY, THEY ARE CHARGING ME AN EXTRA FEE TO CANCEL. ITS A JOKE. On top of that, although I canceled on the 13th, I still got charged the annual fee on the 20th. So now we're totaling over $100 in fees for absolutely nothing. The person on the phone said "when people catch it, we are able to reverse the annual fee" which tells me that if no one calls, they are getting charged the annual fee anyway. I can't imagine how much money they've made on screwing people over with fees, just to have trash customer service on top of it. I'm so frustrated. Absolute joke.

Fitness equipment takes a beating so it needs regular maintenance and they are pretty good about fixing things quickly when they do break. There is a woman that works the front desk in the morning who can be rude sometimes. Overall the employees aren't bad, but could be more friendly such as talking with all members instead of just the regulars. No Wi-Fi??? That's a big drawback in today's world where every other person has a mobile device they're listening to. Lockers are only half-size, so you can't hang up a sports coat or slacks. That's a shame because there is more than enough lockers to go around. I suppose they want you to rent a full size locker by making the daily use lockers inconvenient.
