in 2024 i requested Modern Pests services to help with bats in my attic. they responded well and…read moreinstalled 1 way bat traps on my roof. the issue came with the removal. i would check the portal to see removal services scheduled only to find no one came out or there was snow on my roof and couldn't remove the traps (understandable) a year and a half later a tech came out to remove the traps. a few days later my wife asks what is in the front yard? it was the removed bat traps just thrown on my front lawn. when i went to check the roof for the traps there was still a trap in my roof. not only did they not perform the full removal but they left trash on my front lawn. i wrote to modern pest who just quietly scheduled another bat trap removal with the same tech who left trash on my lawn the first time. when i called them directly i wasn't able to speak to a manager on duty at all. No manager contacted me prior to just scheduling another removal even though the report the tech wrote out stated he removed all traps the first time. so clearly they were aware of my issue before scheduling another removal appointment and just never bothered to reach out to apologize or anything.

Rich is absolutely fantastic. When we discovered squirrels in our attic (which was a relief as I…read moreactually had convinced myself that there was a serial killer living inside) he came right over, throughly explained what steps he would take, and set a humane trap for the animals. As soon as the first squirrel took the peanut bait, Rich came right back over (in a snow storm!) to collect the little guy. He repeatedly assured me that he would take him to a nice, safe place, just far enough away so that Mr. Squirrel would not be able to move back into my house. Rich then continued to set traps to catch and release the squirrel family until everyone was accounted for. Finally, once the weather improved he was able to seal the hole in our attic. Chip & Dale will need to find a new clubhouse for their shenanigans this year.

I used Simply Pest for multiple years and had few complaints about the service. I had to request…read morethey respray a couple of times because it rained the same or the next day. We also had 3 bait stations around the outside of our house. I cancelled in the fall of 2024 thinking my husband and I would do it ourselves. This spring rolled around and I realized doing it ourselves was too much work, so I called around for a couple of quotes. I was shocked at the startup fee plus monthly cost for quarterly visits from the other companies. I contacted Simply Pest again and got on the roster quickly and they did a treatment within days for so much less money. I don't see a need to pay hundreds more for supposed "exceptional service" when Simply Pest does a thorough job for much less. The people have always been friendly and they respond quickly.
