He stated it was his, and he liked to collect all types of military memorabilia. This is offensive for what it represents. He rationalized citing Italian, Russian military memorabilia related to war atrocities, that others don't recall. Found this place out here and walked in. It was a very lively place with people laughing and talking and having a good time. Definitely a mishmash of different things from different eras military dolls statues glassware art movies books toys a little bit of everything for everyone make sure to look up and down because there's stuff everywhere here. There is definitely also an upstairs to check out but more than main floor. Definitely a good place to get lost in for about an hour. read more

I love Mikes section. Although messy you find a treasure every time. I like it here and think prices are reasonable. Don't get this store confused with next door- Where the prices are much steeper. Moving on in my paroosment of shops in Martinez, I stumbled upon this cute antique shop. The lady at the counter (and also the owner I believe) greeted me and seemed very conversational. I fell in love with a black crocheted dress and there were some awesome black light plate ware which glowed. All in all not exactly my style, but a neat place none the less. read more

I walked into this store on Saturday for the first time, and for the last time. I am a Christian, a mother, and a Registered Nurse. It was on this day that I was profiled and treated like a criminal by the owner Judy. I said hello after entering and looked around for a few minutes before going upstairs. I have been looking for a full size bed frame for a room in my new home. After a few minutes a lady (Judy ) came upstairs and stood next to me, acting, and looking at me with disapproval. I asked a question about an item, and she answered abruptly asking " What was I looking for." I explained I was looking for a full size bed frame. She told me they didn't have any and encouraged me to go to another Antique store. She then asked me " What happened next door, at Bad Girl Antiques, " " What did you do over there. " She told me that the owner of the other store ( Yvonne ) came over and told her about me and that I was in this store now. I explained to her what a terrible experience that I had when I tried to shop next door. That after going inside the Antique store, also for the first time, that I was asked to leave, "if I was the girl from last week, because I looked like her" I explained I left that store per choice because of poor customer service, profiling, and mistaken identity. Because I was not that girl from last week, and I had never shopped there before. I asked " Please tell me that I am not going to have a problem here too, or with you, that I just wanted to shop, and enjoy my Saturday morning. She assured me that we were not going to have a problem, and then asked me for my name. I introduced myself as Linda. She then asked me to tell her my last name, and also asked to see my drivers license or ID. I thought this was odd, and a bit insulting. I asked her if she asks for that information from all of her customers. She told me," no I just need it so that you will not be in trouble for whatever you did next door. It was at that moment that I relized my shopping there was a problem and that I needed to leave. Also there was a bed frame over in the corner, yet she denied having any and encouraged me to shop elsewhere. I never made it over to see the bedframe. I headed down the stairs, approached the front desk and asked if I could talk to the owner sitting at the desk. He said he would talk to me after he finished with the customer he was talking to. I said I would wait. After waiting a few minutes the lady that insulted me upstairs approached and once again asked me for my drivers license. Once again I asked her if she asks all her customers for there full name s, and ID s . I told her that I wanted to speak to the owner about the way she was treating me. She then introduced herself as Judy, the owner and stated " I am now going to have to ask you to leave the store" I was on my way out, however stopped at the desk to talk to the owner and pick up a business card. Mistaken identity, profiling, and poor business relations. I know that I have never been so insulted. Judy, it's my suggestion that you focus on your own business, and perhaps protect, and respect, your new, and or future customers. Let Yvonne fight her own battles, and drama. I really hope that no one else is ever treated this way again, in either store. Also, if you decide to shop here I hope that you do not look like " that customer from last week" In close, it is my choice to walk in, my choice to walk out, my choice to never return, as well as my choice to write this poor review on the terrible treatment I received, all because the owner of the store next door thought I was someone else. This store has a nice selection of vintage treasures. My reason for stopping was to see if I had anything similar that I can out on eBay, Like most antique store there is a lot of china and costume jewelry. Somethings seemed reasonably priced and other way to expense. I think I have many things that can find a new home. read more

Went into this store today on a whim. A necklace in a case caught my eye and the woman working there took it out for me to look at. The tag on the necklace was marked vintage, no other information. The sales clerk told me it was vintage 1940 art deco, owned by Joe DiMaggios aunt. I liked the necklace and loved the history so I purchased it. Came home and did some research for more history on the designer and found ITS A NEW DESIGNER so NOT VINTAGE 1940 Art Deco!!!! This store sells newer product, 2016 as I found out, and make up fake history to pass off as vintage. Do not purchase from this store. read more

I used to go antiquing each Saturday with my dad to get things for my mom. That stopped long ago. The other week I was waiting for the library to open (What opens at noon these days?!?!?!) and I went walking around to kill an hour and a half. I decided to hit up some antique stores; a lot have closed since I was a kid. I went into a few and I felt like a child again; not good memories, but being treated like a moronic bull in a china shop. Hint: that doesn't make people come back or buy anything. Anyway, I went into this shop, and they had great quality and good prices. Many other places seem to prey on people and overcharge, but this place is right on. You won't get the steal of the century, but the prices are fair. They let me browse but let me know that they were there for help. They treated me like a real customer. They even have some things on sale that they have had for too long. I got one piece for my mom's collection and a book. I brought my mom back and we bought a bunch of things. One lady took down my name and will call me if she gets anything interesting in AND if I want anything I can call her. They're all really helpful and knowledgeable. Don't forget to check upstairs, it's lots of nice furniture (not that break when you get it home crap that's in the normal stores today). All-in-all good place with good prices. In all honesty I never even went into the store. I called in at 10:00 8/19/14 and asked a lady if they had a certain item available and she was super rude to me. I would never do business with a shop that treats customers in this manner. read more

I have bought many gifts for family members from this store. Judy in particular is extremely helpful. This is my first stop every time I go to the antique stores in Martinez. They are very pleasant and helpful not to mention very informative. I cannot say enough as honesty goes a long way with me and there is plenty of it here. I will frequent this place often! I would not recommend this shop it a terrible place to go to they are very nice but if you say something they don't approve of they kick you out I was doing jobs for them and cause I didn't want them to pay me anymore they kicked me out all I wanted to do was work I don't care about the money they treated me wrong and tried to be nice about it say you cant come to the shop anymore and I never did anything wrong I would not recommend going her if you don't want to be treated like dirt read more

I've shopped here twice, the first time being a very pleasant experience. The second time I went, the friendly lady had to to swipe my card several times due to an outdated machine and I ended up double charged. When I realized the error, I went down and was told that the store manager named Marion was the only person that could help me. I went down to see her and she was very cold and calculating. Instead of taking responsibility for her faulty equipment, she misplaced the responsibility with my bank, saying they were responsible for stopping a double charge. The only way that works is by putting in claim which involves canceling your card and filling out paperwork. She wasted my time. Her apathy and lack of virtue has lost her a customer that hadn't left that store without a purchase. read more
