Antioch Park is a large park that has a short wooded trail, but also a good amount of paved trails that wind through the park and around a nice pond. It has lots of picnic areas and green space to relax and enjoy meals. it has a whole entire kids town for the children to enjoy. It has a variety of play equipment in various areas. it also has a basketball basketball court in tennis court I believe. it is maintained well and I really like that all of the play areas have some shaded spots for parents to sit.

There is seriously so much to love about Antioch Park! First of all, it's massive. So, if you're looking for a place to go on a long walk with your dog, or immerse yourself in nature, you've found an excellent option. Secondly, the playgrounds are top notch. I mention this because as a parent of a young child I'm often on the hunt for great places to take her to get the "wiggles" out. There are about three different playground options, all in the same area so kids can move around freely and explore. One is geared more towards smaller kids which is great, there's also one for bigger kids, and there's even an old west themed play area where kids can pretend to be cowboys. I love that they have this area for imaginative play and it's such a unique find that really sets this park apart from others in the area. The public restrooms could be a bit cleaner, but it is a public park, and in general I'm just happy when a park has an OK restroom to use. Just make sure you set your expectations right before you venture into them and you'll be just fine. Overall I feel like there is still a lot more to this park I have to explore, and we'll for sure be back!

I have been going to this park since a little kid and now I am able to take my baby. This park is absolutely beautiful any season you go. This park has many things you can do I recommend also is toddler friendly

I miss the days of taking my daughter here to play at the old west village. It looks like they updated a lot of the playground equipment. Yet this is still a good park I go get a short jog in or to go for a long dog walk. It looks like people still fish here and have picnics. The Kansas City area is lucky to have Antioch Park

Found this park on Yelp, wanted to enjoyed a nice day out during the weekend and social distance due to the Covid-19. This place has a rose garden with a nice fountain to relax and enjoy. Love the small collections of roses here. The trail is easy to walk and handicap accessible too. There's north pond and a south pond. I went to both. The north pond is more quiet and peaceful. The south pond is more fun with the trails, fishes, and great scenery. Restrooms is near the offices and is clean. Good place to explore and enjoy your day out with your family.

All around this area are main roads where traffic flies by to get from point A to B. However a quick turn off of Antioch will show this big park to be a nice, quiet, wooded refuge with trails, small lakes, and tons more. I remember this park from being a little kid. The stepping stones had chasms of space between them back then, and I felt like I was on vacation here despite being down the road from home. It has been many years but I finally popped back over here one beautiful Saturday and saw the appeal of the park as an adult. This spacious park spreads far and wide and would make a great gathering place for a BBQ, family reunion, or just on your own to steal away for a bit. There's some kind of kids zone too by the playground, but I didn't really go there. Other reviews could shed more light but looks like fun if you have little ones. I brought my pup and while not an off-leash zone, it made for a nice afternoon stroll. Check this place out!

Fall this year has been really colorful but I've been coming to this park for about 3 years now and it has some amazing color changes! Highly recommend anyone checking this park out.

November 2018 I was in town on business and had the morning to check out the area. I wanted to walk around a park and take in the cold air before a snow storm rolled in. Thanks Yelp for finding this park for me! The park was quiet (it was a Thursday morning, and it was cold!), and I walked around the huge lake while taking in the gorgeous fall foliage. Everything was so beautiful! There was a decent amount of parking and plenty of places to sit and have a picnic. Gorgeous place, and can't wait to go back!

Looking for an afternoon walk with our dog and to geocache we decided to check out the Antioch park We were delightfully surprised. It was much prettier and longer trails than we expected. Johnson County put some serious effort into this park. The ponds are clean and so pretty with great places to sit and hang. There was a small wedding going on at Northwest end of the park, children playing at an insanely large kids area at the Northeast side, a military memorial at the north central side, and a beautiful pond at the south side. A lot of gazebos for meeting up and a large pavilion for major events. Highly recommend for gatherings, kids, walks, and anything else you can do in a park!

Park is nice, offer a lot for the people at the area, good for family, group get together or even loner wanna be alone, is a great park. Sorry to say that it was not my cup of tea, not fit my need for walking purpose, but happy had chance came visit and took some pretty pictures though, so I still give a 4 star review.

These are the kinds of parks that make my heart warm. As for activities, there's a couple playgrounds, tennis courts, baseketball court, soccer fields, a walking trail with a small creek surrounding it, and plenty of space for kids (and adults) to run amuck and enjoy the outdoors. Other things offered are covered seating areas, picnic tables, and restrooms that surprisingly are clean! Speaking of clean, the people here make sure to do their part and keep things tidy. This involves the basic human acts of courtesy such as picking up and throwing away their trash and picking up the crap left from their pets. It was quite busy when I arrived as there was a kids birthday party, several people walking the trail, and a few couples having a nice picnic. On a Saturday when the sun is out and there's a nice cool breeze, I'd expect nothing less!

The swale in the middle of the park, lined with bald cypress trees, offers many shady, comfortable spots for a picnic or just a rest. String yourself up your own hammock between trees and catch a cozy nap or a comfortable spot to read. Check out the raised placards for a memorial of the Battle of Westport, emphasizing Kansas City's part during the Civil War. Everyone loves a little history, and to do so looking to the west and learning about that conflict 160+ years ago, you can actually see it in your mind's eye. To place that memorial with beautiful green space is a nod to how Kansas City makes the most of its public real estate. Park in any number of lots or even find a spot on one of the side streets. Restrooms are open in nice weather, and there's plenty of spots in which to reserve a pavilion. Outstanding Kansas City landmark!

The little track around it is better suited for walking vs running, in my opinion. It's not that big, and it can be a bit crowded on a nice spring day.
