A 66 acre park, everything you can imagine is here. Many different trails, LOTS of open fields, 2 or 3 different play grounds for kids, a water park area with pools and slides, soccer fields and many soccer goals, 2 basketball courts, pickleball, tennis, you name it they probably have it. Extremely well taken care of and felt very safe walking around at dusk even on the trails with just my dog. The dog parks were HUGE, and everything was very clean and NEW. Just a beautiful area we were happy to have stumbled upon by accident. Great if you're roadtripping and need to get some exercise or wear out your kids and dog!

I rode my bike out here on one of the warmest days of the spring and it's always a nice destination. There are tons of trails connecting through it that are best suited for walkers/joggers. Cyclists can ride on them, but they're twisty and full of people, so I'd recommend sticking to the roads more than these on the bike. There are soccer fields, a dog park (with it's own Yelp page), a pool, and it's right in the middle of Leawood and easily accessible off 435. Really glad the city had the foresight to design such a big amenity for Johnson County. If you're a dog owner, there are portions where you can get down to the creek if your doggo needs a quick swim. Granted there are leash laws, but if you have a dog that you can recall well, I say go for it. It's really a nice park overall and perfect for those needing a dosage of sunshine and nature right now.

They played in the large play area that has a toddler section all the way to older climbing playgrounds, including swings and a zip line. This is a very nice park with an excellent walking trail and photo opportunities with a big circular sunflower. There is another smaller parking area of the street where you can park and use exercise equipment that they have installed. They also have electric charging stations for electric vehicle vehicles in the parking section. There are bathrooms as well. There is a sign detailing the park and areas to go. I believe there is another place section near a coffee shop/hotel that is nearby. We could have driven to that area, but we remained in the area we were currently at. Most of this park is in sun except the exercise area. I believe that was in shade.

My daughter has been here since she was 1 month old. After taking her first steps, she walked the trail of roe park. So it's safe to say that this park not only gives you a fun time but there are great memories built here too. They have a play area for the littles and for the bigger kids, a walking trail for walking and bicycling, tennis courts, baseball field, open yard space for both soccer and football, benches and shelter area, and when it's hot out...a water park! The park has a variety of play equipment, a huge sand area that even has toys that regular people probably have brought there and left. There is natural features for kids to explore, like rocks and stumps, and they also have a small handmade stream, but the time that I went, there was no water going through it. There is a baseball diamond and a walking trail around the park. There is also covered picnic area and an open picnic area and there are also even children picnic tables and some nice bathrooms. Sometime over the last 5-7 years, they added a little "play creek" type of area that is a lot of fun in the summer time for my girls. It's shaded and a unique way to get their hands dirty. The little track around it is better suited for walking vs running, in my opinion. It's not that big, and it can be a bit crowded on a nice spring day. They also have nice restrooms and a few water fountains, so this was a good turnaround spot for me when I was doing long distance runs. I'm always in favor of good parks and this is one of many throughout Kansas City!

One area terminates to a picnic area with fountains and bathrooms. It crosses some main roads in certain sections but also goes underneath in tunnels in others. What better way to up your mileage on your winter runs!
