Recommended by our Airbnb host and now we know why. The restaurant seemed to be a local favorite. Luckily, we were seated right away because it got crowded quick. Just an FYI, not all of the staff members speak English. In fact, our waiter could barely understand us. Be patient!
Anyways, I ended up getting the margarita pizza. It was pretty big for a personal size. The pizza was thin, but not soggy. There wasn't an over abundance of cheese like in the US. The tomato sauce was sweeter than what I'm used to, but I really enjoyed it. While I hardly ever eat the crust, I couldn't stop myself from inhaling the crust on this pizza. The crust was light and fluffy, nothing too "bready" or heavy.
My friends and I asked for a to go box since we all had a good amount of pizza left. Unfortunately, we didn't know that the Italians don't really do take out. I guess the owner of the place felt bad that we ended up scarfing down the rest of our pizza (because obviously we couldn't waste such goodness) because he ended up calling us to the back to give us a free pizza to take home. It was sweet of him and if I'm ever in the area again, I'd come back in a heartbeat! read more
