This restaurant was located right around the corner from our hotel in Rome, Italy (Eurostar Roma Aeterna) It was very easy to locate and the food was excellent. The guy who served us was very helpful with explaining the menu to us being that we are Americans. Thank you for making our experience with your restaurant go smoothly. We appreciate your hospitality. To anyone staying in this area this restaurant is worth a try. I didn't understand a lot on the menu even though it was in English but I guaranteed you he will make you feel free and comfortable to ask any questions about anything on it.

After walking around after 3pm we couldn't find any open restaurants. Everything closed at 3pm and re open at 7pm. We had just arrived from Paris and wanted a decent meal. We walk by this alley right behind our hotel and spotted a couple eating pizza and it looked so delicious. We decided to give it a try. Their menu consist of pizza and pastas. We had the pigs cheek pizza and it comes with a lot of onions just in case your not a fan of onions. The pizza was just perfect. Thin crust, bread freshly baked. I was not too sure on the pasta I asked for meat and garlic pasta. He recommended a horse meat and pasta. I have to admit is delicious but it was a little mentally disturbing. The White House wine is GREAT you must have it.

That made us return here for our last dinner in Rome and again, we weren't disappointed.

Still busy for lunch and at first there weren't any outdoor tables but somehow one became available right after we arrived. Smaller interior with sectioned dining areas and a good sized outdoor eating area. Our server recommended the Buffalo Ricotta cheese with honey truffle-wow! It was exquisite-so light with honey truffle taking it over the top. They ran out of their Rose so we went with the recommended Red-Monica de Sardegna (delicate/spicy- Sardinian) For main, despite many enticing options, we ordered Lasagna Funghi and the Ricotta Ravioli stuffed with artichokes with Cacio Pepe cream. The lasagna was like no other we've had before -must try! The Ravioli was decadent and creamy-delicious! We were talked into the fresh Panna Cotta for dessert-simple, fruity and light -just right with our espresso and milk. Our server, Anna, took great care of us-kind and patiently provided recommendations and menu option details. One of the top restaurants in the Monti area and not to be missed!

One of the times we just went in for snacky things and got the dried pork strips/sausages and the buffalo ricotta and truffle honey. So good!!! Also tried the pulpo (octopus) salad that had potatoes - I wasn't expecting it to be warm, but I really enjoyed it. Ambiance is nice and they had some local beers on tap that I also enjoyed. The outside is beautiful with all the vines. The inside of the restaurant is super cozy. Love it.

We ordered an Old Fashioned and Mojito for Apéritif and enjoyed both. Once again we moved to another table that was outside but with cover once we decided to stay for dinner. Cool Bar area and a party room that housed their extensive collection of Wine. Outdoor seating was okay. We started with the Roman style Artichoke-seemed like it was missing something so we asked for some olive oil and Balsimic vinegar which made a huge difference. The Burrata/Prosciutto starter didn't disappoint with mild, slightly salty Ham. I asked the server which she would recommend-Sea Bass or Frutti de Mare Spaghetti-Frutti de Mare (Poseidon) it is. Full of fresh seafood with a very light tomato sauce-delicious! Were able to substitute spaghetti for ravioli in the Pesto/sundried tomato entree which was a nice touch-Pesto sauce was amazing! We paired it with a recommended Rose-Calafuria-just right fruity with 100% Negroamaro grape. Service was engaged and attentive. Make this Monti stop for their extensive cocktail and wine selections!
