We came here for lunch yesterday because we were in the mood for hopefully real pizza. The problem…read morewith this city and their pizza, is that the crust is always super dry, and they barely ever add sufficient sauce to the pizza. I've seen it so many times where the locals here will actually add ketchup to their pizza. It's the weirdest thing that I've ever seen. So we had high hopes that this pizza restaurant would deliver something better. There was only one other couple eating inside of the restaurant, and we were thankful for that because the inside is super small. We went ahead and ordered just a regular pepperoni pizza and two small drinks. Not many words were spoken with the worker behind the counter, but he went right to work in preparing our pizza. The little wait was well worth it, because the pizza was awesome! It wasn't typical NY style pizza, but definitely much better than our previous pizza experiences here.

Other than great ambiance and service, I can't say I was too impressed with the food itself. It definitely satisfied our Italian food cravings, but it probably isn't the best you can find in CDMX. I think it's a little overhyped and I honestly probably wouldn't go back before trying other places to see how they compare. If you want to try this spot, I'd say go for the pizza and skip the pasta. The crust has a nice texture and the chili oil sauce was incredible!

The ham empanadas were too heavy on the cheese and slightly cold on the inside. The pizza was solid, especially the crust. Given how much good food there is in CDMX I think this is missable unless you need a late night spot in a pinch.

I forgot the name, but it had the words "blood" and "opera" in it. It was basically a breakfast pizza with scrambled eggs, sausage, hash browns, and maple syrup. I ordered it as a "monster slice" which is basically a personal pizza. It was really filling, though I also ordered buffalo cauliflower and are a lot of that. I would say it's good pizza to get if you need to sober up. Speaking of which, I ordered a sangria and it was more like a lemonade. Still yummy and the acidity helped with the heaviness of the pizza. If you're dining here at night, be prepared to dine in the dark. There's not much lighting. And it's very loud! They played rock music, so if that's your vibe then you're gonna like this place. The ingredients were very good, but to be upfront, the edge crust was pretty lean. It was more like a crisp flat bread than what you would expect from a Neapolitan pizza. We got an Uber to come over here, and we were delighted to see so many different Italian pizzas that they offered. I had heard of spaghetti bolognesa, but never in my life heard of bolognesa pizza. It must be an Italian thing because this restaurant has it. We were seated at one of the two sidewalk tables, and proceeded to order the regular bolognesa pizza. The menu indicated that it included their special tomato sauce, cheese, bolognesa sauce,,and onions. To me that sounded like a great combination. I'm happy to report that this restaurant does add the right amount of sauce, and you don't even need ketchup! It was a good portion, and we finished off most of the pizza. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
